A BWWM Billionaire Romance Story

Adalia is too proud to accept help from the billionaire playboy, Trent Dawson. How long can she maintain her resolve?

***Due to sexually graphic content and language that some may find offensive, this book is intended for mature readers only***

Adalia Montclair has never taken a hand out in her life. She’s worked her way up and is a not-so-successful business owner following her dream of running her own bakery. Everything is going just fine, until sexy white billionaire, Trent Dawson, appears on the scene to woo her with his money, charm and blatant disregard for her insistence that she doesn’t need a man to help her.

Adalia is torn between falling for a clear playboy and trusting him enough to let him into her life – a fate she couldn’t possibly envision after the pain of her last break up. She’s determined to focus on the business, but the bank’s insistent calls about her loan repayments give her cause for weakness. She needs help on this one, and there’s only one guy with the power, and the will, to step up to the challenge.

But a surprise visit throws everything into disarray when Trent shows the side of himself she’d feared he possessed all along.

I'm sorry this book sucked! Adalia was just a stupid woman who too damn stubborn do right for herself. She kept the back and forth going with Deshawn, even when clearly Trent was obviously the better choice. I quickly got sick of stubborn and mulish attitude. And I found it extremely hard to feel any sympathy for this woman. She deserved every bad thing that happened to her!

This book has a lot going on in it, but it's captivating and the characters will keep you on edge throughout. Adalia is doing her best to make a go of her pastry shop, but it would seem that her best just doesn't cut it, and this makes her mad. The only problem is she always seems to direct her anger where it doesn't belong. Being angry and disappointed in herself, even though she's done the best she could with what she has had, doesn't help, and when Trent shows up seeming to like her, her anger tends to boil over onto him. But he's determined to have her, even when her ex shows up and interrupts. And lets not forget his assistant, the interfering Michelle Van Heerden. Will they ever manage to put the loosers behind them and make a go of a relationship that deep down, they both want?
Well written with lots of passion, you won't be able to put it down. But keep in mind, this is a series and book one is a major cliff hanger.

Adalia is a beautiful single black curvy woman who owns and operates a bakery, the only problem she is having is keeping up with her loan payments to keep the bakery open. She has some faithful customers that come in on a regular, especially the handsome man with the blonde hair. He’s always staring and want his fix of chocolate baked goods, and he makes her body tingle when he gets too close.
Trent Dawson is a handsome millionaire who wants Adalia, and whatever Trent wants he soon gets, but Adalia is playing hardball, and Trent will soon have a run in with her drug addict ex boyfriend.
this is a wonderful story, it is very well written and the storyline is very captivating. Adalia and Trent have a lot of people that want to keep them apart including Trent’s assistant, who has her own agenda.
This a must read. On to book 2

Bad meaning badd.

This lead character has to be the most ignorant female in creation. I usually don't knock a writer because I am a writer. But you made this lady too stubborn and temperamental. I didn't like her personality or her business sense. It's a shame she was a cliche (angry black woman). I am disappointed that you missed a chance to make her a successful owner instead you made her a confused and bitter embarrassment. Let's not even talk about Deshawn. Yet another missed opportunity for a young black man. I didn't like this book at all. Again I respect that you are a writer that's why 2 stars.

Waste of time

Adalia's funky judgemental attitude towards Trent was off putting from the jump. I had hoped it would become somewhat of a flirtatious back & forth between the two but it ended up being annoyingly rude and immature on Adalia's part only. That alone made me not like her & thought Trent to good for her. I don't like books that piss me off throughout over pettiness & immaturity. I won't be reading the next one because even the snippet made me feel it was a waste of time

LIVE DECEIVED: Very disappointing

Adalia knows Michelle if after Trent and Michelle warned her "to watch her back", and yet, Adalia believed all the text messages from this Harpy? I read Love Deceived free through Kindle Unlimited and wasted my time. I am not buying book 2 or how many other books there might be on this story. It is unbelievable Adalia could be so dumb. And why doesn't she slammed the ex with a restraining order and allow him to touch her at her dad's property?

Girl, What?

Listen, I never want to bash an author starting out and I firmly believe everyone has potential. That being said, this was honestly a mess. No real connection here and the characters were hardly developed. Plot is jumpy and forced. Also, I do not care if a white man looks like Captain America. It is unacceptable for him to refer to any black person as ‘ghetto’. I almost dropped the book at that because I was completely out of it. Stories like this are meant to be fun. Unfortunately it was anything but. Back to the drawing board.

Don’t waste your time

I tried!! Really hard!!! But this is just unreadable. All of the characters are stupid, the writing is elementary, the scenes make no senses!

Aldena (or whatever her name is) has got to be the stupidest character I’ve ever read.

Trent? No one in his position acts like that or chases someone as stupid as what’s her name.

DeShawn, what in all that is stupid, stereotyped foolery is that character?

I got this for free and I still think it cost too much!

Sometimes when you snooze, you loose.

I know she had her heart broken and she was afraid to trust again but come on. She was dealing with a pot head, a broke scrub at that. He brought nothing to the table. So when Trent came along she wanted to paint them with the same brush, not a good idea. She truly got on my nerves in this book but I will she what the next one holds for them.

This was entertaining

I liked the first one by this author and this one is good too. It reads well and I love Trent, she created a strong alpha male there. The female love interest is stepping on her own toes a bit too much for me. There is a difference between being strong and willfully stubborn and stupid.

A dalia and Trent

Adalia wants to be a tough cookie, but she is not. Why does she out up with her ex Deshawn? Familiarity is not love. The ex is no good.

Trent is a bold alpha male. He sees what he wants and goes for it. My kind of man.

These two need to come together and got insignificant people (Michelle) out of their lives.

Can wait to read book 2.

Disappointed

I thought this would have been a good & relaxing read, but it wasn't. Why was Adalia's character so argumentative? Defensive? The story line didn't flow. Will not waste my time on book 2.

I couldn't give it a lower score!

This was a mess! I get the whole orphan start, that's typical, but a quicky in a hospital bathroom, that could cost your job, and the only source of survival... Nope that's not possible!!! Too much jumbled into a cliff hanger!

Just wasn’t feeling it. Not sure if the cliffhanger is a good thing or a bad thing.

Have you ever read a book and not like the attitude and arrogance of one of the main character and not know that you will find it in yourself to actually like him. Well that is how it first started with me and Trent. But by the read comes to an end Shyla shows us that he has a vulnerable side.
You will love the character of Adalia as she finally knows what she wants in life after a life of hardship and knock me downs but life’s upheaveal is not done with her and she still has to face off several adversaries and the most frustruating thing of all is that we are left in such a scenario for a cliff hanger moment. Cant wait for book 2 as would love to know how Adalia finally deals with her nemesis Michelle.

Good start

This book was pretty good. It was short but glad that there is a book 2. Trent and Adalia are both strong willed and refuse to back down. She is a bit stubborn and refuses to accept help. I wish that she would beat that slut assistant of Trent's.

SURPRISED

This book was actually better than I thought it would be. The beginning was slow and took forever. Some of the middle was slow as well. I skipped some parts because both chics needed their ass beat.

I really liked this even though it was a serial. It just made me want to know what's happening next that much more. Adalia really needs to get over herself. I would love to see Trent's POV too. There is not a whole lot of steam in this first one. I received a free copy for an honest review
