“I never knew true fear until I met pure evil. He wore a smile and a bow tie.”
“Colorful tattoos were inked over most of his skin. His defined abs flexed when he stretched his arms over his head. His biceps and forearms were lined with veins . He even had one of those V things that ran into his jeans and had me licking my lips like he was a steak and I was a hungry lion.”
“It made sense that his body was built for sin, because the hold Samuel Clearwater had over me was something straight from the depths of hell.”
“Preppy was very much like heroin. Being with him sent me into a state of euphoria, free from the trap of my own thoughts, my past, free from anything and everything on the outside of that little room. Outside of us and our tangle of limbs.”
“His frustration, his sadness, his hurt, his desire, his anger, his confusion, but there was something else there. Something stronger. More powerful. More everything. Above all else, I felt his love.”
T.M. Frazier
“Life’s too short to pretend to be anyone else. I’m just me. I say what I want to fucking say. I do what I want to do and I don’t fucking apologize for it.”Preppy was one of my favorite characters in the ‘King’ series. If you’ve read those books, you know him and you love him #BecausePancakes. I am a long time fan of TM Frazier and I’ve read and loved all her books. That being said, I was so nervous to read this book. Because of all we learned about Preppy and the history in the other books, I couldn't tell if this book would be fantastic, or not work at all. It was a coin flip. I am so happy to report that it was FANTASTIC. I should never have doubted Tracey. I loved what she did with Preppy’s story!
“You want to be high? You can be high on me. You want to take the edge off? I’m gonna do just that, baby.”
He was an addiction. I craved him, and I wanted more.

“The first stirring of any kind of desire in over a year comes courtesy of the devil in a bow tie.
Man, I was really fucked up.”
"My strength had always been in my amazing ability to be completely and brutally honest. Of course, the gift of honesty was in addition to my sense of humor, wit, charm, character, striking good looks, phenomenal – yet classic sense of style, and last but not least, the tribungus slab of man meat dangling between my legs. But I motherfucking digress.”
“Listen, life isn’t about what happened to you in your past, it’s about where you are now and where you’re going. Onward and upward and all that jazz.”

I’m going to hurt you,” he said, undoing the top button of my shorts and pushing his hand into my panties, cupping my sex in his warm and powerful hand. He squeezed, just a little, a show of power. “I’m going to hurt you with my lips. With my fingers. With my cock. It’s going to be the best fucking pain you’ve ever felt.”

It made sense that his body was built for sin, because the hold Samuel Clearwater had over me was something straight from the depths of hell.

I didn’t just want to fuck her. I wanted to ruin her.

You know, sometimes I’m not sure when you’re serious.” “Oh, well that’s easy to figure out. I’m always sometimes joking in a way that’s honest.” “Totally cleared that up.” “Glad I could help...”
He’d said he couldn’t keep me. That didn’t mean I wouldn’t always be his.

"Upon first glance, the guy was about as scary as the Easter Bunny. Until I saw IT."

For most people, death is the end of their story. For Preppy and Dre, it was only the beginning…

Of course, the gift of honesty was in addition to my sense of humor, wit, charm, character, striking good looks, phenomenal—yet classic—sense of style, and last but not least, the tribungus slab of man meat dangling between my legs.
But I motherfucking digress.

I wanted to see her sad. Taste her tears. I wanted to know what she sounded like when she cried. In pain, in pleasure, in both. The thought of me being the one to make her cry was my undoing.

“Listen, life isn’t about what happened to you in your past, it’s about where you are now and where you’re going. Onward and upward and all that jazz.”Preppy has survived a horrific childhood. Clinging to his two best friends Bear and King, Preppy is one kinky character. He likes things a bit rough and raw. He is energetic, outgoing, and quite witty. When Preppy's work brings a broken heroine addict drops on his doorstep, someone finally knocks him off his feet!

“He'd said he couldn't keep me. That didn't mean I wouldn't always be his .”Andrea Capulet is a broken heroine addict that just wants to get home. Abused by her companions, she finds herself in the middle of a crime gone horribly wrong. When a wild man with a bow tie brings her safely out of the brinks of death, a bond is formed. Preppy and Dre have personal demons to battle, an explosive attraction to each other, and the desire to protect themselves from the pain of heartbreak. As much as Preppy would love to keep Dre by his side forever, he knows that she can never truly be his.

"For most people, death is the end of their story. For Preppy and Dre, it was only the beginning..."Told in dual POV, Preppy is simply stunning. The complex plot is emotionally driven with grit and heart. Although you can read this as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the series from Book 1 to fully enjoy each nuance of each character. The way in which their lives intertwine and their bonds are forged are critical to understanding the full story arc. I would love to divulge more details regarding the plot, and yet, I feel like this is one read that you must go in blind. The best element of this read is the strong character development and the tempo of the pacing in the text. The dialogue flowed so naturally and paired with the smoking hot scenes (one in particular that I will never forget) it's a perfect blend! It seems like every single time I pick up a T.M. book I am so wrapped up in the story that I seem to read and blink and then it's over. I savor every single moment with these characters, and I am DYING for the next book in the series.
