Rate this book
A violent storm has raged, nearly devastating what little resources Garret Witmer and his group have managed to acquire. Now, the group faces an even greater threat; impending evil lurks in their midst, threatening to destroy their way of life. Austin and his cohorts want what Garrett has and are willing to do anything necessary to take it from him. Garrett will have to face the evil, using his limited resources and hard-fought skills. The threat of famine is real. Can Garrett not only face this difficult task, but also rise to the bigger challenge – keep everyone out of harm’s way?

Good story line. Characters are believable.

Interesting story but needs to have more real information on how to survive. Want to finish this story and not have it drag on and on.

Very strange

At the end of book 1, Alice walked out of Garrett's life again. In the beginning of book 2, she's there like nothing had changed. In boo 1, Wren was a little old lady; she got progressively younger, then Garrett fell in love with her. Garrett really needs to quit crying so much, it's getting on my nerves! Very confusing books, to say the least.

A Soap Opera

This book seems to focus on all the emotions of the lead character, without a apocalyptic story line. I didn't learn anything helpful, in the event of an EMP.

The story line

Is good but the author spends to much time on Garrett's insecurity and his inability to make any decision about his live life or other things.
