Publishers Weekly Bestselling, award-winning author of over 50 novels and two million books in print, Deb Kastner enjoys writing contemporary inspirational and sweet western stories set in small communities, often including animals as major secondary characters.
Deb lives in beautiful Colorado with her husband, her puppers Gabby and Sadie, and two mischievous bonded brothers, black tuxedo cats Hype and Dab. She recently went through what she terms her midlife crisis and adopted her very first ever real live horse whose name is sweet Moscato.
She is blessed with three adult daughters and two grandchildren with #3 on the way. Her favorite hobby is spoiling her grandchildren, but she also enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music (The Texas Tenors and The High Kings are her favs), singing in the church choir and exploring the Rocky Mountains on horseback.
This story was a little to unrealistic with the amount of time Nick gave to Vivian in renovating an old shop for her new spa in a small Texas town. The ending was predictable of them falling in love.
From the cover & description, I thought that this would be a sweet read but I could barely finish. The story dragged and the hero & heroine's past experience with former lovers just ruined it for me. I don't enjoy this type of writing but some may do.
This is a feel good, sweet story. The auction was a bit funny to me. I loved that they grew into each other. The pace was a little slow at times, but all in all a nice read.
Quick holiday inspirational romance. The inspirational part didn't show up until halfway through the book and it almost seemed as if it was added as an afterthought.
What a wonderful holiday read ! Loved the storyline and characters
Vivian buys Nick at the towns charity auction She has a good idea what she wants to buy him for Vivian wants to use Nicks carpentry skills to construct her dream of opening a spa and beauty shop
She is in a hurry to get this up and running because she is expecting a baby and needs the income
But for both Vivian and Nick Christmas miracles are about to happen that they least expect
As far as cheesy romance novels go, this takes the cake. There were some completely unbelievable parts like getting engaged after kissing once and spending the rest of the time ignoring their feelings. However, despite the inconsistency, it’s too damn cute not to love.

I really enjoyed the hero's transformation and his change from a grump to a caring, giving cowboy. I liked how the heroine was a sinner (aren't we all) and came to forgive herself.
These books are just the thing when one wants a real, uplifting good read.
The cover of the book is adorable. I liked this book's storyline. I liked the Christian ✝️ theme in this story. I liked Vivian's character. I liked Nick's character. I liked the ending.
I enjoyed this book. The hero was reluctant get involved with anyone after a bad experience with a previous lady but feels if he helps the new lady to show he can change his bad reputation. But what happens is he falls in love.

Countdown to a Christmas Baby

My review of "Mistletoe Daddy":
The Christmas Spirit has come and now it is focusing on Vivian Grainger and Nick McKenna. The plot revolves around the twomain characters that begin at the bachelor action and continues as Nick helps prepare Vivian's Spa and Salon for opening. The more they are together the more each comes to care for the other. With the town's residents acting as cupids, the two do not stand a chance as God works on these two to make a family for Vivian's baby.
"Mistletoe Daddy" has strong characters and a sound plot. A great read for anyone looking for a clean romance. My rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
A very cute and sweet story filled with good deeds, Christmas cheer and a small town that will pull together to support their own. I liked the tone of the tale, when the whimsical moods of the pregnant Vivian and the grouchiness of Nick put together, there were lots of smiles while I was reading the book. Vivian is filled with the sunshine and positive thinking, hope for tomorrow, and faith in God's guidance. Yet she has a weakness to think lose her faith in Nick and fumbles to think the worse of him couple times causing stress and trouble. Nick is a complex person. His former relationships have given him a reputation, and by helping Vivian he is determined to change his stature in town. He is all about good deeds, sacrificing for others and taking care of Vivian. The feelings they have for each other grow slowly on the side with baby G, as the spa takes form and the town prepares for the new business. The devoted relationship between Nick and Vivian is steadfast and true. They rely on their faith in God, as they are building their future, their relationship, and preparing the world Baby G will be born into. The kindness is overflowing, the charm has no limit, the tender feelings are fragile but taking a steady root. A delightful and gentle story that put a smile on my face and underlined the upcoming holiday season's true meaning in a beautiful way. ~ Four Spoons
Vivian is back in town and needs help making her dreams of opening a spa a reality. Taking advantage that Nick is apart of an action for charity she wins his help for the day. Vivian wasn't expecting so much work that needed to be done and Nick wasn't thrilled at first about this arrangement but is willing to help her get her spa opened on time.
I enjoyed this book, it was a pretty quick read. I like that this book had a clean romance so if your into that your going to want to pick up this book. I loved seeing that opposites attract things going on where Vivian is pretty much a ray of sunshine meanwhile Nick is kinda a grump. I loved that Vivian was a person to get things done, she wasn't about to let her pregnancy slow her down from getting her spa done. I loved that Nick was willing to help Vivian out more then he needed to in order to get her stuff done. Overall this was a great book and I really enjoyed it.
Very cute and sweet for an easy afternoon read. Loved it. Made me smile. The writing was beautiful, and the subtle hints at previous books in the series made me want to read those too! Can't wait to see what the other McKenna boys' stories were.
And, okay, let's be honest here: Is that not just the cutest baby ever? I think this is one book I can safely say I judged by the cover, and one of the only ones I am proud to have done so.
"Kastner’s spirited and believable characters prove that opposites do attract. ...the steady pace and dialogue-driven plot make this a pleasant read for the holiday season" (4 stars @ RT Book Reviews). Miniseries: Cowboy Country
This was a very good book. I really like how Vivian tries to make everyone happy even though her life is a mess. Nick is a good side kick to help Vivian get done what she wanted to get done.
I really liked the character development in this one and look forward to reading more books by Deb Kastner. I thought the characters in this novel were endearing and cute. I'd personally rate it 4.7.
