The concert, held at an Aquarian Exposition, is filled with a who's who of artists that represent the music of this hippie generation. You will learn about the performances, some behind the scene shenanigans, and the future of some of the stars. From Richie Havens to Jimi Hendrix, you will even be there, to hear Arlo Guthrie's famous announcement. I read a lot of books about the 1969 Woodstock Festival; however, very few of them are novels. It is a love story set against the historic festival and it is a love letter to that festival. The facts are mostly accurate, too.

After just making the pilgrimage to the Woodstock museum & site- this book was just a fun fun read! Definitely gave a sense of what it was like to be there.
