Best book in the series. The plot twist was good although I already saw it coming.
Only problem is that the parents were stupid till the end. Especially considering that they are criminologists. Okay, they were under a lot of pressure but they can't be that silly right? 🙄🤔

Heart-racing conclusion to the series! Book 3 finds us in a much different situation than I would have imagined from book 1.

I have to admit, that at one point, I DID have the thought of "Will this EVER be over?", as there is a certain pattern that keeps recurring throughout the series that began to edge onto redundant. It was however, necessary, and that feeling probably came from blitzing through the entire series in a few hours.

I really enjoyed this series, and the conclusion was perfect. Definitely recommend to any middle-grader that loves action-adventure/suspense. These really are some of the most clean of the genre, for what it's worth. No crazy innuendo, nothing too graphic, though GK doesn't dance around what can happen in a kidnapping. I especially loved how the author covers the EMOTIONAL and mental impact that the events in the Falconer's lives has had on each one.

Adults reading might get caught up on the slight "grown-ups are dumb" trope that shows itself in bits, but really, it made sense in light of the aforesaid mental and emotional impact that had occurred on the parents, and even the agents.

All in all, a great series. Everest is still my favorite of Korman's, but this one has definitely snagged the second spot.

Reposting from Book 1's review:
These books are leveled as early 5th grade, and that's also the age I would recommend. The series as a whole contains some violent incidences, but they are not graphic. Ex. mentions of gunshots, blood, physical altercation, but no specific details about them.

BOOK THREE: THE RESCUE
I loved this book, to be honest, I expected the final book to be boring because I assumed the author ran out of ideas, but this book was just as exiting and thrilling. Previously, Meg Falconer got kidnapped by three people. One of them, who she calls Mickey freed her. In the third book, there is a blizzard and Meg is lost in the mountains. She wandered there hopelessly, until she found a telephone pole. She climbed to the top, cut into the wire and sent a SOS by cutting off the signal. Anyways, Aiden her older brother, recognized the message because a character did the same thing in his fathers’ book.
Now Aiden and an FBI agent went in the mountains to try to find Meg, but the kidnappers caught her. They wanted her parents to come to pay ransom money in an old mineshaft, with thousands of tunnels. When the parents got there, Rufus Sehorn, a person they thought was helping them brought the parents to the cave to murder him. This part made me anxious because I was excited, and nervous. Aiden and the FBI agent came and then everyone starts running through the caves. Rufus was chasing Meg and Aiden, but there was a cave-in, and Rufus died. Meg and Aiden escaped through a tunnel intended to let in air.
I really like Meg because she is brave and had indomitable sprit. I like Aiden because he was determined to save Meg, and I liked Mickey (Who’s real name is Sean) because in the end, he did the right thing and freed Meg.

My elementary school library only had the first two books, so the unknown ending of this series has haunted me for ten years. So like, hats off to Gordon Korman for keeping me interested for ten years lol

The Last and final book in this series i like this one the most because Adien finnaly finds Meg.
Meg escapped from her captors and is trying to find her way back home! She Found a tellephone tower and inersepted the calls to send an sos to her brother to find her. When she got stranded in the storm, she found a cave and decided to spend the night. When she woke up she was right next to a bear who was only a couple years old. The bear decided to follow her and ended up saving her life. I'll tell you why in a little bit. Adien and Agent Harris find where Meg we held captive and finds the nicer kidnapper there sleeping on the couch and they take him as captive and begin to ask him questions on why they kidnapped Meg and who told them to kidnapped her. When Adien found out that his parents were coming with a blogger that worked with HOURS national terrorists and they hated the Falconer family. So the other kidnappers met the blogger and Adiens parents and the blogger and the female kidnapper tried to kill the parents but Adien and Meg got in the way and the HOURS people went after them then the mine collapsed and the HOURS people died when it collapsed on them now the falconer family is finally able to sleep and that is the last book in tis series

This is the last series of the book. From all the series from the book I really loved this one because Aiden finally finds meg but Rufus Sehorn aka the blog hog was always working with the kidnappers and they never knew. Later on, he takes Megs parents to the kidnappers where he reveals that he was working with the kidnappers. Good thing that Agent Harris was on their side, he had saved them from a bear and the kidnappers even though he was the one who put the falconers in jail. In the end, The falconers reunite again, The kidnappers go to jail except for Mickey because he had turn to their side, The blog hog was shot so he died, and Agent Harris was forgiven by the falconers. I really recommend this book to whoever likes thrillers, mysteries, a warm touching story.

This book was most likely the best in the series. It summed up the mystery and may and/or may not reveal a secret.

The rescue seemed like it would never happen. Because of clever tricks used from dad's books, Aidan and Meg team up in the cold blizzard to be rescued.

I am writing a review on this book which I found quite interesting. In this a book there is a family of four which is slowly being torn apart by the world. The parents were put to jail for something they hadn't done and the older brother had gotte lost and had been found by the FBI luckily, and lastly the younger sister who was kidnammed by three people. The younger sister had gotten extremely lucky by getting the help of one of the kidnappers who had found out about the terrible thing that the other two kidnappers were going to do after they had got the money from the parents. the girl had been outside in a blizzard whit some jeams a shirt and some gloves while the kidnappers had an ATV and a proper ski suit to keep them warm. Somehow the girl managed to survive and made it to a cave and stayed there for the night just to be caught the next morning. But yet again the girl had gotten lucky with a bear attacking the kidnappers. while the parents were coming to the location the kidnappers had given them their friend who was secretly working with the kidnappers gave the parents fake 3 million dollars. In the end the two of the kidnappers were killed and one was put to jail and the fourth one was fighting in court to be let free because he helped the girl to be free.

My favourite character in this book is the FBI agent Harris. He was extremely brave and risked his job to save the girl that was supposed to be rescued by the other FBI agent Sorenson. He also made very quick plans that worked very effectively he made some ennemies and later friended them by listening to what they said aswell.

As and enthusiastic reader I found this book very happening and interesting. There were many unfamiliar words in this book for me and i guarantee you will find some unfamilliar words too. The book had a major plot twist when I found out that the fourth kidnapper was actually a friend of the family.

I would definetely reccomend this book for readers who like suspense. This one of the most suspenseful book I have read in a while. I believe it could be yours too.

I read Kidnapped 3: The Rescue by Gordon Korman. Meg Falconer is kidnapped in Book 1 and the FBI and her brother Aiden are trying to rescue her. Now in Book 3, Meg is in a cabin in the mountains and escapes with the help of one of her captors. Meg is eventually rescued, but the plot takes many unexpected twists before the exciting end. One internal conflict is this story is that Meg starts to lose hope that she will ever see her family again. She thinks that since the FBI has not found her in three weeks, they are not searching for her anymore. One external conflict is man vs society. The Falconers are upset with the FBI because the FBI has failed countless times to get Meg back and also put Aiden and the whole family in danger. I think the book was exciting. Gordon Korman left cliff hangers at the end of each chapter. Also I liked it because Meg makes the same decisions that I would and I like a book that I can relate to. I would recommend this book for teens, both boys and girls, because it is about teenagers and what they might go through when facing difficulties and scary situations in life.

Book #3 in the trilogy indeed brings resolution to the kidnapping of Meg Falconer and the title reveals the results, only the details are revealed. The FBI agents are finally closing in the kidnappers, Meg is still plotting and attempting her own release, and there are some “ships passing in the dark” situations before the conclusion of the series.

I appreciated the short length of each of the trilogy volumes and the action-oriented pace of the novels. I can see how this series would hold an appeal for young readers as they move from book to book without a conclusion.

The book kidnapped beware this could happen to you by Gordon Korman. The book kidnapped was a book about a girl who was well you know in the night she was taken to a blizzard. I liked this book because it was funny, and in one of the parts she said that it was funny being in a cave so I thought that was funny on her sarcasm. I would recommend this book to Eric because I think he would enjoy the sarcasm.

I thought this book was really cool, especially due to that it was in a winter setting! It was amazing to see how the siblings could survive in the terrible conditions, and it really shows how much they have learned throughout their experience. This is...sadly...the last book in the trilogy, but if you liked this book or the whole series, you should definitely look for other books by the author, Gordon Korman. ("Schooled" was my personal favorite.)

Meh. Good resolution. Not unpredictable, not super impressive but good enough for a YA title.
