About the author

My name is Andreea (Ada) and I started to write fiction back in 2011. Since then, I learned how to write blog posts, social media captions, literary essays, stories and in College i wrote for a couple of local newspapers. When I was 10 years old, I decided I wanted to be a journalist and that thought still lives with me even though I wrote for a couple of news outlets and got a whole Bachelor Degree in this field.

Sadly, after College I got hit by the need of finding a job and all of the journalism openings seemed taken or too far to reach. Between 2015-2020 I wrote on my personal blog where I improved my writing and drawing skill, as much as my ability to create “brand identities” for my little writing space that included logos, descriptions and different other stuff I played around with because I’ve seen “big bloggers” do.

Somehow, I feel like the internet helped me grow up as a person and as a writer as well. Some other times it completely let me down, but that’s okay too, because rejection is a way to learn in itself.

From all the stories I’ve wrote to all the places I’ve been and people I’ve met, all of this is a part of me I will always be grateful for, even without a real journalism job. I gave up on my 5 years worth of content when the pandemic started, but I took it as a fresh start. I’m glad to be here writing and I hope I can make this a safe space for everyone who needs it because after all of this years, writing for people is what I know what to do best.
