This was a very interesting and dynamic read. I began the book at a fairly casual pace. The perspective was quite different from what I am use to, but I liked the writing and found it really easy to visualize what was happening. As the book progressed the action and excitement mounted, interesting legends arose and once the group of teens got caught up in a chilling ambush, I couldn’t put the book down. I raced through the last half of Part I as unexpected turns drew me further into their plight. The end of Part I leaves you hanging, but I enjoyed the final chapter immensely and started into Part II right away. Intriguing!

A great start to a new series.
A powerful ancient artifact. An undying king. And a group of teens who don’t realize the power they’ve unearthed.
When you start reading you will get whisked away to a fantastic fantasy world full of magic and detail and you will never want to come home.
Until you have finished the book of course.
then you will be left hanging out for more.

i was finally able to finish this book and thoroughly enjoyed it, I felt bad that I hadn't finished it as it was a wonderful read. The characters were great.
