If Cleo isn't writing (or reading!) erotica, she's probably sitting on her balcony, watching the wind blow through the trees. She loves snowstorms, horses, and piña coladas. If she won the lottery, she would hire an assistant to take care of the technical side of e-publishing so that she could write all day.
Some random facts about Cleo: 1. Thinks life's too short to forgo HEAs and HFNs. 2. Sprained an ankle joining the mile-high club. (Never again!) 3. Favorite writers include Cormac McCarthy, Junot Diaz and Rachel Caine. 4. Gets weak-kneed for bookish guys who know how to fix things with their hands. *swoons*
Ethan, Trent and Raphael are just three rich big boys that have their fantasies and their kinks and they have just discovered a willing victim. Of course they are ecstatic with this development in their lives, of course they want to keep Maisie at any cost and of course they are in love.
I cannot deny the fact that I laughed with the four of them in the court house where they are playing roles or when Trent and Maisie are doing extreme sports in nature.
Just as I said: Rich big boys…
Maisie seems to be having the time of her life and it is her book. Good for her!
I am still curious and I think I will continue reading about her adventures.
This is the fourth book in an erotic BDSM series, but I was able to enjoy it, although I hadn’t read the previous books.
Maisie is a young woman who had been an administrative assistant in the law firm of L B & B. She was recently, publicly, fired–as a way to put off an investigation into her affairs. And, Maisie has many affairs, not the least of which is her menage BDSM relationship with the three partners in the law firm. Ethan Brennbach, Trent Banno, and Raphael Lattimore are rich and powerful, and delight greatly in punishing Maisie in the most erotic ways. But, more particular to this story, Maisie’s knowledge of pedophilic and horrifying Norman Ballystock has put Maisie in grave danger of arrest. Norman’s dead, and the murder investigation is creeping ever closer.
In order to protect their sub, Ethan, Trent and Raphael devise a plan to have one of them marry Maisie–and she’s not enthused. She’s only known them for a short while and she’s new to D/s; she doesn’t believe that they are really serious about her. She doesn’t want to be a burden, and she’s afraid this will bind her to men who don’t truly want her.
This was an interesting read, with sweet and sexy moments. Also, some really NSFW dialogue and one rigged trial with filthy consequences. I liked the interactions between Maisie and her Doms. Each one seems to have different objectives, when it comes to pleasure/pain, though we mostly see Maisie with Ethan or Trent. It seems that Raphael had some big scenes in the previous story.
Maisie has lots of growth to make in this book, and she does well, earning more praise than punishment, and an unexpectedly willing groom, who cannot wait to collar his sub with his best friends and partners, to boot.
Boy, that wedding night sounds like it’s going to be nuclear. Stay tuned…
Enjoying this series beyond belief, dreading the end of it. Characters are really coming into themselves and pushing limits. Thank you for a captivating world.
Oh smut. How I've missed you. I saw someone complain there was too much sex in this book. uh yeah. You're reading the wrong genre. This book is a little weak on plot and I'm not really sure what they see in her as she's a bit dopey other than she'll willingly go along with what they're doing. Anyway a quick hot read.
Maisie's dominant bosses won't budge: for her protection, she must marry one of them immediately.
On paper, they're perfect. Ethan Brennbach, Trent Banno, and Raphael Lattimore are rich, gorgeous lawyers. The powerful billionaires give Maisie exactly what she needs, from every angle imaginable.
But after overhearing them arguing, she knows the devastating truth.
They don't want her, not forever.
Unable to tell them the truth, soon she's acting out. But her bosses have their own carefully laid plans.
They will bring Maisie under control, one way or another...
This office menage romance contains one curvy submissive and the three dominant men who are driving her crazy with their protectiveness and their secrets.
My Thoughts
Oh how this story just takes us down a path that you're not quite sure you want to go. In this 4th installment, we see Maisie faced with the decision that she's going to have to marry one of the men, and she has no say in it - just so that both she and they can be safe as the investigation continues.
There are a few crimps in all this - Heather, Maisies 'friend' from school keeps coming around since she's working on something with the firm, and she's making Maisie miserable. Jealous too for that matter. Then there's Ginelle who's a girl that works with Maisie in her new role in the Janitorial division - and her life seems rather complicated which of course brings Maisie into it.
So...we're still not sure who killed Norman, the chief of police is onto them, and the guy who's investigating them is still trying to plant fake evidence to frame them. It's a wonder that they're able to be as sensual and dominating as they are throughout this story. how do they find the time?
But true to Ms .Peitsche's style, we get to see PLENTY of that. it's naughty and dirty and all the best bits of a BDSM relationship among 3 hot powerful men and a woman who knows her value.
Where we net out at the end of this 4th installment, we know who Maisie is going to marry and we know when, but we don't know when their lives are going to get back to normal.
I am all for sex in books and series; however, this book in this series was so not needed!!! Too much sex and not enough new information to add to the story. Maisie was even more annoying with her naïve, immature antics. Trent, Ethan and Raphael remained dominate and sexy. This book was 80% sex and retelling and 20% useful new information to the series.
I can only hope that the next book provides more information to the mysteries and issues that have been introduced in the other books. I can also hope that the author stops retelling/explaining characters, things, and situations that have been clearly covered in past books.
I can't get enough. This story was excellent and did a great job showing the many intriguing sides of the Dom's, funny and playful, tender and caring, stern and demanding. It was hot, Hot, HOT! She keeps me wanting more and my only disappointment is that the next installment isn't out yet!
Far this series is pretty great! I really like how she is dealing with all the things asked of her. She even does well putting up with her not so friendly school mate. Hoping to read the rest of this series ASAP!
