Maizy is a stylist who walked in on her live in boyfriend screwing her boss. So she hightailed it out of L.A. back to Dallas. Where she gets a whole new career, rekindles with family, her two best friends and a new crush.
Hugo is a successful recluse who looks like a mountain man, he rescues Maizy who looks homeless when her car breaks down on her first day back in town.
These two continue to run into each other and she gets closer with his sister Stella.
There’s some funny banter, some chemistry, great styles, character personal development and great supporting characters.
Glad these two fixed their big miss understanding. Now Bruce? Stella? Orlean? Steele? Derrick? Oh and does Ian and Gwen make it go the distance?

Fast paced storyline with interesting characters. Although short, it was a breezy read, you have no choice but to fall in love with Hugo and Maisy, let's just say all the characters had a part to play and are well rounded.
However, I could have done without the noble idiocy.....I understand where Maisy is coming from but communication would have put an end to the unnecessary heartache.
Wish there was a book about Stella's story ,love her eccentricity and hope she finds love too like her twin brother .
And last but not forgotten, Maisy's parents are a riot...lol.

Great third book of this series. I could have screamed at these characters and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen in their future. This is a funny read that will keep you on the edge of your seen for a couple of hours. It may only be a short read but it definitely packs a punch
After a great few days in Vegas with Hugo, sharing stories and finally sharing each other things look on the up for Maisy. Ok so she was fired but she got the man so it was a pretty small price to pay. Now they are home and everything that Maisy saw in her future comes crashing down around her when they drive up to the house. Hugo has a visitor, Kelsey is sat on the porch waiting for him and he dismissed Maisy like she is nobody.
Hurt and upset Maisy throws herself into her work and she moves forward with the deal of hiring office space from Hugo and Stella. What they have offered her is a chance of a lifetime and she would be silly to say no. However she doesnt expect to see Kelsey and Hugo in the lobby acting as if everything is great and the real kicker is the ring on her wedding finger. With her heart breaking she finds herself agreeing to help Kelsey find a designer for her wedding dress.
Damn this woman is in for a rough ride, she knows she has fallen for Hugo and she is even more pissed that even with a fiance Hugo keeps messaging her asking to meet and talk.
With everything moving at a mile a minute Maisy is struggling to keep her chin up...but when revelations are made and the truth comes out, is it possible she just made the biggest mistake of her life???

Maisy is finally going to get what she wants until everything comes to a screeching halt when she see’s who is sitting on Hugo’s steps, Kelsey.
Apparently, what happens in Vegas really does stay in Vegas. Feelings and all.
The way that Maisy is dismissed by Hugo was heartbreaking. On top of that she later comes face to face with Kelsey and Hugo and she is sporting a ring on her hand. How could he? Can Maisy keep things together long enough to get through being the stylist for Kelsey’s wedding?
I really enjoyed this series finale. All I can say is things are not always as they appear. This was a fun short read that will only take you a couple of hours to finish. Thank you Jamie Lee Scott for a great fun series. 1-click and get started today.

Maisie and Hugo together at last. It was a long and hard struggle to see true love prevail BUT finally it does. Maisie gets her studio with Stella's help, the new furniture and all that she deserves but will Hugo be a part of that dream? Or, will his past fiancé really win him back? We left Hugo and Maisie in the SUV in the driveway to his cottage with Kelsey standing there waiting for him. This book opens with Maisie having cried her eyes out and believing him to be back with Kelsey, she even wears a new engagement ring. But, is the ring Hugo's? Read this fun romp through Maisie's present day and find out. It is a short read but well worth it. I started reading it last night at midnight and finished it at 2:30 a.m. Sorry to see this fun romantic series end but it is happy.

As Maisy drops Hugo off at home she sees Kelsey on the porch and realizes her dreams could be crashing down around her. Stella offers Maisy a space in their office building and she takes it hoping to build her business up and thinking she could keep her composure when she comes face to face with Kelsey and Hugo together and a huge rock on Kelsey's finger. Talk about awkward Kelsey wants Maisy to be the stylist for the wedding! Can she keep it together and be the professional or will she crack under pressure and claim Hugo as MINE? I give this book 4 stars it was a great ending to this series!!
