She is a corporate accountant. Her life is full of structure, routine, and organization. Settled, comfortable, and content, Caroline Milton loves knowing what to expect every minute of every day. More importantly, she loves knowing her life is what she pictures it to be and not what she came from.
He is the Catawba Hellions VP and a wild one, refusing to be tamed. His motto—'hit it, get it, and go; no repeats' where women are concerned—guarantees a new woman in his bed nightly. His life, though, suddenly tilts on its axis when his wild days come barreling back with a major responsibility. Suddenly, Drexel 'Rex' Crews finds he has a real reason to settle down.
When a situation quickly spins out of control at work for Caroline, she reaches out to the one group she least expected to find herself dependent upon—the Hellions Motorcycle Club. Asked as a personal favor from Doll to protect her best friend, Rex can't refuse. Protecting Caroline was supposed to be an innocent task. However, the attraction from their first meeting is a fire burning strong inside of them both. Neither can deny the pull, despite the fact that they come from different worlds.
Can Rex show Caroline the safety and security of the MC? Can Caroline tame the wild beast inside of Rex? Can their innocent ride become a journey to long lasting love?

So... I didn't like Caroline. AT ALL!! Many may disagree with my opinion, but guess what? I couldn't care less.
Truth.
See, the thing is... I have a low tolerance for B.S. True story. And she was chock full of it.
As Alpha, as manly, as badass, as sexy and as reckless as Rex was, I wanted better for him. I really did. He was really coming into his own and deserved a strong, good woman by his side. And I just don't think that "Lux" fit the bill. I wanted more for him. More than what she had to offer. More than him chasing her stale azz through 5 books. It frustrated the heck out of me.
My rating goes to Rex and his family (Axel, Shooter and Tessie). I was so impressed with the way that Chelsea Camaron showcased Rex's growth in this book. He really became a man (finally) and I enjoyed the dynamic of the family situation. So overall, it was well-written, well-developed, and surprisingly heartwarming!

Drexel "Rex" Crews is the VP of the Catawba chapter and cousin to Tripp. He's the ultimate playboy that won't settle down. I have really enjoyed Rex's character since the beginning of this series. I think in each book we have gotten to understand him better. I think under all of his playboy ways he's just looking for the right one. Now he's dealing with finding out he has a son by Tessie that he never knew about and having to watch Caroline. I think in this book we definitely get to see Rex grow as a person.
Either you're going to like Caroline or you're not going to. We first got to see her in Tripp and Doll's book, when she showed up for the Hellions BBQ way too dressed up. Caroline now finds herself in an unsafe situation and goes to Doll for help. I did at times find Caroline to be a bit stuck up and acting like she's better than everyone else. I loved the fact that Roundman calls her out on it. Caroline is also full of secrets she doesn't want anyone to know. She also finds out some things she never knew.
I thought that this book was fun and enjoyable. I loved the banter between Caroline and Rex. I loved seeing Rex grow in this book. There were also some twists that were probably a bit predictable, but at the same time I didn't see them coming.
This should've worked for me on so many levels but alas...
This is a first Chelsea read for me and as much as it has all the elements that usually appeal to me, it’s quite unfortunate that this didn’t quite work for me.
Alpha H, check. Strong h albeit wishy-washy at times, check. Suspense, check. Other scary biker dudes in the club, check. Heat, most definitely check.
Yet, I felt detached. I think it was the execution... maybe? It kinda’ started rough for me because something felt off with the pace, but it did get a tad better eventually. At one point I did wonder if Caroline was just making a mountain of a molehill. Either that or she’s TSTL. As the story progressed, I understood the concerns but I think Caroline's reaction certainly didn’t help. It felt like she was over trivializing the whole thing which made me care less. Then it just kinda snowballed for me from that point on. I couldn’t match the pacing of the story. I stopped buying the connection. The mystery/suspense around Lux’ past held my interest only marginally in the end.
Real shame... Oh but you know who saved this for me? Rex!:D
These two were incredible to read. Their journey was so surprising to me. They are more opposite than two people should probably be except in one huge way ... their ridiculous chemistry **yikes** However, that's just the tip of the iceberg, as they say, for these two, because they are more connected and alike than it would seem on the surface. They are two perfectly fit puzzle pieces. Their puzzle in incomplete without these two pieces ... if you feel me.
This was a really suspenseful read for me and it kept me on my toes. Even tho I have read this series from the beginning, I found myself still thinking, damn, I didn't see that coming, on more than one occasion. And even the romance journey between Rex and Caroline kept me captivated and intrigued. I saw their chemistry coming a mile away in previous books, but it didn't prepare me for who they would become for each other. This is more than just a hot story between them. It has a lot of heart. There's a lot more left of this series, but I could easily say right now that these two have crawled in my heart to take residence :)
Rex, Drexel, ho hum I'm done. I'm sad I'm done but it couldn't be helped. More than a anything I liked that the Hellion's and the stalking drama are equal. Rex was the most complex Hellion so far. There is a lost man beneath the surface who seemed to have awoken and realized he failed many people. A must read series for sure. Also I love how Rex has his own phrase "Good to know" oh my swooning heart
Whiskey Dick Drexel- Rex Crews is sex walking lawd that man I devoured this book! Chelsea this book was amazing. I have loved all the Hellions books but this one just man oh man the tension the steam the pace kept me turning the pages eagerly. I love that Caroline was real with Rex and refused to take his shit. Things are revealed that I wasn't expecting. This book about near melted my kindle! I never give spoilers so if ya wanna know about the journey you gotta take the ride!
This was an amazing romance sprinkled with a bit of suspense; which resulted in a great story.
From the start of this series, we see Rex as a ladies man that lives by his motto of "hit it, get it and go." He's lived his life on his terms, for his pleasure and for his club. Changes in his life have caused him to re-evaluate and contemplate. He's pushed to remember the teachings from the grandfather he holds to dear. With this new outlook, he's opened up to new possibilities in his life.
Caroline has always been his "deluxe model". From the first moment he saw her in One Ride, it was quite clear that she was not from the club world. She exudes class and elegance. Rex has taken pleasure in making her squirm with his innuendos and come ons. But now that she's in need of the club's protection, he makes it his personal mission to keep her safe. He feels guilty for having failed Tessie and he won't make that mistake again.
Caroline aka Lux is a driven woman, but what she portrays to others isn't exactly as it seems. She's determined to live by the saying, "fake till you make." With a strong drive to have a successful career and make her way in the world, she's resolved to take the good with the bad. Having Rex around only complicates her plans. He's a distraction she can't afford to have. His badass biker body is too tempting.
I just knew there was so much more to Rex than he showed. He's had so much growth since meeting him in One Ride. He's so swoon worthy. Caroline was his complete opposite but they had a chemistry I picked up from the get-go. The stories in this series just keep getting better and better.
As usual, it started off strong. And lets face it, the dude on the cover totally sold me. However, the dude in the book has dirty blond hair. But who cares right?
Wrong
There are so many things that didn't work in this story. One being the lack of chemistry between the two main characters. The second being that Caroline is a complete bitch! i didn't get what anyone would find appealing about her. They argue for no good reason and hook up for worst reasons. The buildup of something tangibly alluring between the two never happens.
Dialogue is repetitive. There's a point where Caroline, an educated professional who holds herself to certain standards, says the word WHORE in reference to herself and her mother, like about 6 times in two pages.
Finally... the big mystery of who is stalking Caroline... What a colossal flop! I mean, this old rich man, who once paid for her services, was the one stalking her. BUT WHY? And why is it that these big bad bikers just didn't surround the car he was driving and get the dude to surrender way WAY early on in the story? Bikers couldn't outrun an old man in a blue sedan??? Seriously? Why would an old rich dude steal a car to stake her? If he's rich, why didn't he just get someone to abduct her or hire someone else to do some shit to? And the worst part is, in the end, the old guy say that he didn't know Caroline still belonged to the biker club. But how can this be true when he sees her with her biker dude together all the time?? Actually watched her getting it on with him? What a totally lame ass ending to an entire story built on danger. So lame that after I read that scene, I stopped.
I know biker series are popular, but for the love of god, when you have nothing more to write about, when the story has no buildup, or tension, or characters with chemistry...STOP!!! Wrap up the series.

4.5 Stars for me I have read and liked all of the books in this series but this one may be my favorite. Rex, the VP of the club, was introduced in the first book and has lived up to his reputation of the ultimate man-ho. His motto has always been "hit it, get it, and go; no repeats." We met Caroline also in book 1. She's classy, prissy and feels she is above the bikers in the club. I loved the way the author redeemed Rex and character development of both Rex and Caroline. The author's writing style was serious and I was really drawn into these characters. By serious, I do not mean dark, I mean I didn't feel like I was reading a lite/fluffy silly romance. This is a book I would read again. There is a HEA and no cheating after commitment. I highly recommend this book.
Innocent Ride, a romantic suspense, is the 4th book in the Hellions Ride MC series by Chelsea Cameron. The resolution of an ongoing storyline involving Rex-the bad boy man whore VP of the Hellions, his fall from grace and the woman who gives him a chance at redemption. Action packed with obligatory violence, mayhem, and smexy times builds an engaging story around an antagonistic romance that puts the entire MC at risk. Enjoyable though I felt there were too many villains after the heroine which made the story confusing at times.
Hot wicked sexy yummy Rex has always been wild and never thinking of having an old lady, now he is on protection detail for Caroline (Lux) but will her past come between them?
Who is following her? Can the Hellions work it out and keep her safe.
Meh this one was just okay. Her situation was weird and kinda out there. Think I will stop here with the series as none of the other ones peak my interest. Was hoping Roundman would get a book and a happy ending. I found it interesting that this book didn’t lead into the next book at all.
Well, Chelsea Camaron did the impossible. She had me fall hopelessly, heart stopped in love with Rex. After watching him be so selfish and downright careless with Tessie's emotions, I didn't think that Chelsea could redeem this leather wearing hero in my eyes. The Hellions have kept my emotions in complete disarray throughout this whole series with their dirty talk, danger, and willingness to go above and beyond the law to protect their ole' lady, children, and each other. Rex and Caroline are full of heated turbulence and had me begging for more!
Drexel Crews aka Rex has just recently found out that he is a father of a six year old little boy. Now that the ship has sailed for him to be with the mother of his child, he needs to move on and be the best father that he can be. On the sidelines whispering in his ear and keeping it real is Caroline, or as he affectionately calls her “Lux” because she is a deluxe model, top of the line female. Rex soon finds himself enjoying being a dad and thinking dirty thoughts about Caroline non stop and wanting to protect them both with every fiber of his being. Rex had me charmed with his filthy mouth and even filthier moves. He grew on me in every way and had my heart falling at his feet along with Caroline's. I couldn't turn each page fast enough to experience more of his and Caroline's heated arguments and hotter sex!
Caroline Milton has spent her whole life trying to create an image for herself. She is classy with a capital C but has been living a lie most of her life and full of dark secrets. When her slimy boss threatens to expose her and threatens the very life that she has worked hard to build, the only thing to do is turn to the Hellions to help her out. But when one of those Hellions begins to look yummier by the minute she is not sure that her heart can handle the blow back. I admired the steely backbone that is Caroline and the way she learned that you can't judge a book by his cover. She is the perfect spark to Rex's flame and helps him to step up and be a man of character.
Chelsea Camaron delivers a romance that shows that anyone can redeem themselves and become the person that they were always meant to be. I highly recommend Innocent Ride for a book that is steamy, funny, emotional, and anything but innocent. The Hellions ride off with our hearts once again and keep us waiting until next time Chelsea writes a book and we hear the rumbling of bikes in the background.
There's nothing innocent or easy about badass biker Rex Crews or his life, but for once, he's willing to play it honest and clean in order to protect Doll's friend, Caroline or who he likes to call Lux because she's definitely a deluxe model. As VP of the Catawba Hellions MC, his life is complicated enough without bringing a woman into the mix who is nothing like him or the world he lives in, but hell if he doesn't want her regardless of how hands off he was told to be.
Caroline Milton may play the virtuous and put together woman role well, but if someone was to look beyond the facade and learn about Caroline's past mistakes, it would be easy to understand why she lives her life the way she does and works so hard to not be a product of her childhood and the choices after it. But the past has a way of creeping in regardless of how hard you try to push it into the farthest recesses of your mind, and this is exactly the situation that Caroline finds herself in and only Rex and his crew can help her out of it, which definitely proves to her that looks can be deceiving, and in order to truly understand who’s worth what, she has to be willing to look past the differences and understand that sometimes innocent and easy aren’t the right choices for one’s life.
Hard…rough…dirty – these are the things that make Caroline feel alive, and they are the exact some ideas that Rex can fill her life with, day in and day out; she just has to be willing to reach out and grab it despite her fears and despite the shitstorm that her life has become.
Innocent Ride allows readers of Chelsea Camaron’s The Hellions Ride series to see a different side to Rex Crews; it’s a way for him to redeem his past deeds, making amends for his wrong choices. Rex and Caroline’s story also proves the theory that opposites definitely do attract and people can change regardless of the brutal effort it may take do so.
Bring on the next ride with the Hellions MC!

What a bundle of surprises was Innocent Ride. As there was so much to cover and still the author managed to keep us on the toes and throw a major spin ball or two. Now since the beginning I had secret hope that Lux aka Caroline and Rex would get together. There were the hints as this follow time line wise parallel with the third book and we saw things
The major thing for some reason Rex liked to pushed Caroline and gave her the nickname and decided to help with her problem. A collegue at work who was hassling her. Hassling her was understatement and Innocent Ride opens up the can of worms as Rex finally mans up.
Rex is the untameable man who didn’t grow up. He has too much fun, but there something about Caroline ever since he saw her. They are total opposite, she a normal girl with a corporate job who only knowledge of MC’s comes from her friends Dolls and Sass. Whilst he is the VP who doesn’t ‘ want attachments Until Tessie hit him with the curveball and he decides to change his ways.
So when Doll comes with a favour, to help Caroline. He thought was a simple task, but Caroline ahs a an allure that he cant’ get enough off and her problem isn’t that simple. As Caroline is no ordinary woman and looks like they are for a ride of their life.
Rex my favourite manwhore so to speak, you had your moments but he truly redeem himself with Caroline and his son. I love seeing him grow up as he realises that he needs to think about the big picture and it was perfect timing. As Caroline seemed a open book but surprisingly there was of a mystery that will keep you turning the pages.
I loved Rex's story. Rex has always lived fast and loose. His club is his first priority. He loves his brothers, riding his bike and loving the women, lots of women. He's never one to repeat, with one exception, Tessie. He always had a soft spot for her. He now carries a lot of guilt where Tessie is concerned. He Feels responsible for leaving her alone the night she was brutally attacked, and he recently learned he's the father of her five year old son. This causes him to take a step back and re evaluate how he has lived his life. He needs to grow up. Caroline "Lux", has been best friends with Doll and Sass since college. She has seen the MC life through her friends. To the outside, she looks like a stuck up, overdressed prude. But most of the world does not know what her fancy clothes and expensive shoes hide. The past she can never let anyone know about. That continues to haunt her. But somehow, her sleezy boss finds out her secrets, and blackmails her. She heads straight for Doll, and the Hellions. Enter Rex, her knight on a chrome horse. Her friend, her guardian angel, her protector. What starts out as a job to clear her from her boss, quickly turns into both wanting more. But neither of them knows how to be in a relationship. And Lux cannot be sure if what Rex says and does is for her, or is it because he's still feeling guilty about Tessie. I loved watching Rex finally get his head out of his behind and grow up. Turn himself around and become a great dad, a good friend, a faithful lover, and just become a good man.
This is one of those series that you read to just escape your life. Chelsea does a great job of drawing you in.
The last time we saw Rex, he was trying to figure out where he went wrong. He is trying to make heads or tails out of finding out he is a father, the feeling of letting Tessie down and his son down has been eating at him. For a bit, in the beginning of the book, I was wondering if he would find his way back.
Caroline is in a situation, that to be honest I didn't see coming. She is being harassed by her boss and trying desperately to hold tight to a secret that could end up destroying everything she has been working so hard to get. Her boss and her interaction actually freaked me out a bit to be honest. He is creepy in a way that even creepy people would be freaked by.
Rex watching out for Caroline or Lux as Rex calls her, is so sweet and so incredibly out of character for him. But watching them feel each other out and grow closer is pretty amazing. I wasn't sure I would like these two as a couple, but they grew on me. I liked the flow of the story, it didn't feel rushed and everything felt like it was hitting at the right time.
Chelsea brought me back in, and made me love yet another couple who seem to be so opposite of each other. Another love story with a dark side that ends in beauty, what could be better than that?

Drexel "Rex" Crews doesn't have a female friend of any kind, but he decides he wants one with Caroline Milton. Caroline, who he nicknamed Lux, is a straight shooter and after finding out he had fathered a son who is half way on to growing up his world spins. As a member of the Catawba Hellions and VP, he has led a life free and wild but now he wants to make some subtle changes.
Caroline has her own problems, her boss is pushing for an intimate relationship and she is fending off his determined attention that is getting out of hand. Rex comes to the rescue but the problem is not just her boss, Caroline has a stalker. Caroline has held her secrets but as her life begins to spiral they come out. Rex and Caroline are thrown together, the attraction is unmistakable but neither have any idea on how to do a relationship. Will they throw caution to the wind and learn to lean on one another?
When I first started this I wasn't sure if I would put aside for another time but about three chapters in I was hooked. Caroline's past was very surprising and I could easily see how it happened. Loved Rex, he is blunt about his feelings for Caroline but he also readily admits he has no clue what they are doing, she makes him protective of her and it causes him to admit to Caroline he wants her even if he is worried she will leave. Great biker read.
Review of Innocent Ride (The Hellions Ride #4) by Chelsea Camaron
Review done for Hooked on Books
4 out of 5 stars
Caroline Milton is the “good” girl, or so everyone thinks. Her dark past is worse than most people can imagine. When she runs into problems at work, she turns to her friend Doll for help.
Doll is part of the Hellions MC and she enlists their help. Drexel “Rex” Crews is chosen for the job.
Rex is a self admitted man whore who has made a lot of mistakes in his part. He is trying to make amends and thinks that by doing this job he can prove himself.
Caroline doesn’t understand his lifestyle and Rex thinks she is too good for him. Opposites attract and there definitely chemistry between them.
When her past starts to creep into her present life, she is in constant danger. Ugly truths are revealed rocking her world.
This is a typical biker story with the sexy, dirty mouth biker and the beautiful heroine. This book had a good story line and it was quite enjoyable.
However, I felt it was lacking a bit of intensity at times. The build up in some chapters was great and in others it was a bit flat. I did really enjoy the dual POV’s.
Overall it was quite a great story. I recommend it to read.
Just in case you can’t tell by my previous reviews of this series I LOVE THE HELLIONS! They are a tough, hardcore group of MC men with the biggest hearts ever. As a group they protect what is theirs or their brothers and do so in a way that keeps everyone safe. The women that belong to the men of The Hellions are just as tough and strong as the men. They have to be to be able to stand up to their men.
Rex has been a thorn to me. I wanted to like him in the past books, I really tried. Yet I couldn’t. He was cocky, rude, and down right nasty to the women he beds. When I started this book I saw slight changes in him, but it wasn’t enough. Then he meets Caroline (aka Lux). She stands up to him, she puts him in his place, and doesn’t just let him have his way. I love her.
As with the rest of this series, I devoured the book. I could not put it down and wished for more of Rex and Lux when I finished. I recommend this book and this entire series.
I have been waiting to get to Rex's story and I'll tell you I knew it was going to take someone who was a straight shooter, strong, and full of life to bring him to his knees. I have liked Lux from the beginning of the series and knew she was going to take one of these guys to their knees but didn't know which one until now.
I was throughly surprised of all the twist and turns of this book. I kept thinking that it was going to be one person and it then would turn a totally different direction. I love how Chelsea showed how Rex struggle with the news of Axel and how he knew he needed to give up Tessie to be a better man. I think my favorite part is when Rex is put in his place by his momma. As a mom I think we all do this in one time or another in our children's lives!
If you haven't started this series it's a must. All stories are stand alone but from the start characters intertwine into other books.
I think I waited too long in between reading this book & the last one in the series. It was all a little "meh" for me & easy for me to put down. I was really jonesin' for Rex & Caroline's story but it wasn't as exciting as I hoped it would be.
I was turned off by Rex's actions in the beginning (like, I really do not need more barfly sex descriptions) & easily irked with Caroline's "situation" with Chad.
I kinda felt like Axel was an afterthought at times. I mean, I get that Caroline somehow helped center Rex & helped him mature but it was strange (to me) that it took so long for him to start seeing Axel on a regular basis. Very happy that things went smoothly for everyone involved (custody-wise) though. :)
I will probably continue on with this series but let's just say, it's not at the top of my to-do list tonight.
*Side Note for Caroline: Unless you're at the doctor's office, it's called a c*ck. *Side Note for Rex: Eww, on the Caroline's p*ssy squirting glitter thing. Just... Eww.
Rex sure has some power of his girl especially when his girl isn't paying attention, "Lux, you gonna let me in, or are you gonna stand half-naked in your hallway?" he retorts as my eyes follow his gaze to see that my robe has slide open, exposing my right breast down beyond my nipple." He's not shy either, "blushing looks good on you, Lux." He smirks at me, causing me to blush further. "You know, I would look even better on you, in you, and all over you," he adds without hesitation." He sometimes has to clarify things with his girl because she often times gives mix signals, "depends, Lux, you comin' on my fingers, my face, and my d***, or are we playing tea party inside?" Rex doesn't really do affection, that's not true he does affection in a Rex way, "his head drops to my neck, sucking harshly, as his hands come around and cup my a**." I liked this book Rex he's one of those men you don't argue with, and Caroline just doesn't like to follow orders so it made for a great story.
With each Chelsea Camaron Hellion Motorcycle Club book, it's getting harder and harder to choose a favorite Hellion. I do believe I now have a soft spot for Drexel "Rex" Crews, Vice President. Rex doesn't do relationships and hardly ever goes back to the same girl twice. He is now buiding a relationship with Axel, the son he fathered with Tessie. Tessie is now with his club brother, Shooter. Caroline, a friend of Doll's from college, needs protection. Caroline is called "Lux" by Rex because she is the deluxe model woman. Will Rex be able to offer her protection from her stalker, as well as from his heart? In my eyes, Rex truly redeemed himself from prior actions, and is working hard to become a better man and father. We learned why Caroline had the persona she did once her past was revealed. I think these two bring out the best in one another. They are two of my favorites. This is such a fantastic series!!!!!
I honestly was really excited when I saw that Rex's story came out. I have loved this series to date and with that being said, I liked this story a lot but just didn't love it. I am not sure exactly why (I can't pinpoint it) but for me personally, I felt it was missing 'something" what I am not sure, I just didn't feel "it" with these 2 as much as I have with the others. There was a lot of dialogue in getting inside each of these characters which I loved because we got to fully know and understand them individually.... With that being said, maybe I was just missing a little bit of something with the build-up between them. I liked both characters a lot but just didn't love them if that makes sense........
All being said I truly did like this story a lot and look forward to more from this gang:)
Oh my. How I love Rex and Caroline together. Rex is over the top hot and even more scorching since he had his epiphany and wants more out of his life. Things really heat up when he is asked to watch out for Caroline when she has some serious trouble at work. It ends up being more than an incident of sexual harassment on the job when the man is found dead. Caroline is anxious because she has secrets that she is keeping, but she and everyone else is in for an even bigger surprise when it's found out that the MC has been in her life for years and why. This story had me hooked from the beginning. Not just the steamy, but the suspense as well. I had no idea who it was stalking Caroline or the secret that rocks her world. I so love Chelsea's writing and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
