This set contains all three original books in this series plus a bonus novella. It's a series I've enjoyed that at times had an almost X Man vibe with paranormals persecuted by humans. Those outed as having abilities are hunted down, imprisoned and studied but you just know that corruption and prejudice leads to cruelty.
Whilst I've no wish to dissect each story I will say the first story was possibly my least favourite with Jack, a Hunter fantasising about Cindy, a paranormal he loved but was cruelly betrayed by. I just didn't feel their relationship worked for me but the overall ideas in play meant I was happy to try another story in this series.
I'm not someone who reads M/M romance stories but I found I preferred the second book. Jamie, a young man who recently lost control is on the run but the Hunter who catches up with him is his ex lover Ethan. What ramped up the tension for this reader was the fact that Ethan has not one paranormal problem but two!
The third story took a completely different approach deep inside the Hunters Head Office. Jessica was a hunter but the jig is up about her freezing ability and now she's locked away, shackled and treated worse than a lab rat! Trapped but keeping her wits about her she uses whatever she can but a certain shy guy might be just the ticket . A slower pace but a much more revealing story .
The inclusion of the bonus story was a nice touch although it added little in terms of completing the overall story arc. Frankly a shocking start but never fear as rescue is at hand . It should be a glorious thing but alas these reunited lovers are on different sides of the fence!
I loved the covers, so pretty and imaginative. Unfortunately I did spot editing problems although I easily understood what was happening . It was fun seeing the characters in the three full length stories develop and connect. Best of all is the price though as whilst I'm typing away this box set is available at an introductory price.

A remarkable collection of books by Mandy Rosko. But then again, her books are remarkable anyways. Mandy has her own writing style and it never fails you. This 4 book collection gives you everything you could want in a collection of books; werewolves, fire starters, paranormal electrical powers, paranormal hunters, and super paranormal SEX!!!! OH MY!!!! You will have to grab this collection and read it for yourself. Recommended for mature readers 18 years and older.

Rosko is an author whose stories I always look forward to reading, and this box set was no exception. If you enjoy paranormal romance, I’d highly recommend this box set. All these stories have a good deal of action, suspense, and romance – I could not put it down. The books can be picked up separately, but I’d recommend just grabbing the set so you can devour the series all at once.

4 really good paranormal stories

This was a great collection to read - loved the struggles and joys with all these couples and how they come to see that even though their different - some with paranormal “gifts” and some just human the can coexist and love.

Noticed others mention that this had an “x-men” type feel with the organization wanting to controls l the paranormals and even hunting them. - I do tend to agree with that statement.

I would really enjoy more from this world if the author ever chooses to revisit it.

All three books and the bonus novella are amazing. Usually in a box set you got some good stories, some ok, some not so good. Not this one. All stories are very creative, with great characters, and some nice heat to it.
This feels a lot like X-Men where paranormal beings  try to avoid the "normal"population some trying to blend in others just hiding. It's a great concept.
In all four books you have a paranormal being having a relationship with a hunter of paranormal creatures. The romance is masterfully incorporated and we can feel the passion of the characters.
This has a bit of everything. It has suspense, humor, angst, love, passion, hate, it plays nicely with all sort of emotions.
Even though I don't read many m/m only books, A Shock to Your System ended up being my favorite of the four. The romance is beautiful and the world-building is really explored here, giving us a lot to think about.
I have enjoyed the totally different approach of book three. It felt different, because of the pace, the angle that we got of the hunters. Very creative!

Review 2

If we have to pick at everything, I would say Burns Like Fire, book one of the series, was my least favorite of them all. I couldn't relate to them and I didn't feel their connection as a couple, even though he couldn't see her that he would get a hard-on. If I were to review each of them separately I would give this one a 3.5 stars while all others 4 stars.
Book three has a cliffhanger, nothing that will drive you crazy, but it's there.
I like the additional novella, but I wish it was a bit longer. Yeah, I'm greedy! :)

You MAY buy this book because you enjoy paranormal reads; you SHOULD buy this book because you like some steam on your read; you MUST read this because you are ready for something fresh and addictive!!!

Wow! All three of these fantastic paranormal books in one collection plus a bonus short story! It's a "must have"! I loved the whole series so much I almost read it all in one day. I just couldn't put it down!
The books were all about paranormals and the hunters trying to bring them in to be eliminated or experimented on and studied. But there were some unexpected twists in each of them.

In "Burns Like Fire" (book 1) Jack, a hunter, and Cindy, a pyro, had fallen in love before either knew the other's secret. Once the secrets were revealed all hell broke loose...or so they thought. Cindy thigh Jack was dead and Jack thought Cindy set his house on fire and killed his family. Two years later, Jack catches Cindy and things really get hot! Can he turn her in or will their past feeling rekindle something else?

In book 2, "A Shock to your System" Jamie, a electrical paranormal, and Ethan, a hunter had hooked up for a couple weeks and we're both developing real feelings for each other...until their true identities were accidentally revealed. Ethan was determined to catch Jamie until he got in a mess and Jamie saved his life. Now what??

"Cold As Ice" follows Jessica, a paranormal who can control ice, who has been hiding in plain site as a hunter. Until her true self is finally discovered when she gets "outed" helping a friend. Now she's in the hunters' prison and being tested herself. Will she be able to find a way to escape and can she find any allies in prison when she put a lot of the paranormals in there herself and her former "co-workers" now see her as then enemy? Things aren't always what they seem and when a " forbidden attraction" develops it gets to be a very slippery slope?

The novella "Gonna Make You Howl" was just a nice added bonus about reunited lovers who are now mortal enemies...can werewolf Gabriel and hunter Mina get past their enemy status to rekindle their feelings? And will they survive if they do?

One of the best parts is how all the characters in the first three books are all connected. Masterful job of character development and integrating the storylines! All of the books (including the novella) leave the possibility of more books open too. I sure hope there will be more in this series!

Title: Dangerous Creatures Box Set
Series: Dangerous Creatures
Note: All 3 books and a bonus novella
Author: Mandy Rosko

This is my review of Dangerous Creatures box set, all 3 books plus a bonus novella in the Dangerous Creatures Series. I got this series set free in exchange for an honest review. This is the whole series to date. Be warned though you will not want to stop with just one book and you will want to know the whole story from start to beginning and will want to read all of them right after each other, in fact that is what I did. Despite the length it does move at a good pace and keeps you interested.

This includes 4 books in this order:
1- Burns Like Fire - This is the story of Jack who had fallen in love with a woman years ago and after some deep talks his family was murdered and he thinks that the woman caused it and this is his attempt at revenge. The problem is he still cares for his mysterious love.
2- A Shock To Your System - This is the story of Jamie who is a person who is able to steal power and accidently does it when he finds out his friend is missing. This causes a hunter to notice him and come after him and Jamie is shocked to find out that the person he is dating, Ethan, is a hunter. Unwilling to turn him in Ethan and Jamie both have to go on the run but this is not the end to the story, there is also the issue of Jamie's missing sister.
3- As Cold As Ice - This is the story of Jessica Frost. Jessica is a paranormal who just wants a normal life and instead she ends up as a prisoner in a research facility against her will. Soren is working at the facility but he has his own secrets as well. Jessica must either convince the leaders that she can work for them as a hunter, die, or escape...what will she do?
4- Gonna Make You Howl Novella - This is a short story about Mina Swanson, a hunter who is caught and about to be eaten by werewolves. Enter Gabriel the Alpha werewolf who also happens to be Mina's ex, will he save her or will he choose the needs of the pack over her life?

I love books like this and I love it even more when they come in a nice box set. This is a good series from a good author and I suggest you try it.

This is a great set of four stories including three books and a novella. It is about a society where paranormals are considered dangerous and need to be hunted and studied. Many of those with these skills live in constant fear of being found. They live on the run but when love finds them it makes it difficult for them to hide.

Burns Like Fire (Dangerous Creatures Book 1) is an intense read. He thinks she killed his family and has hunted her down for payback. She claims she is innocent. I really enjoyed the story and the author does a great job developing the characters and sharing their history.

A Shock To Your System (Dangerous Creatures Book 2) is a M/M romance. These characters also find themselves at odds with each other. When one needs help, the other takes a great risk to save his lover. It is a continuation from the first book and offers more information on this world of Hunters and the paranormals they seek.

As Cold As Ice (Dangerous Creatures Book 3) is about another friend whose skills were discovered and is now being studied. She has to survive and one of the lab workers there appears to be her one chance at surviving long enough to get free. It is another interesting look at this world and how people so often don't want to accept those that are different from them.

Gonna Make You Howl: (A Dangerous Creatures Novella) features a short story about a woman who thought she lost the man she loved to werewolves but he has hidden from her and the society that condemns him for being different. I really enjoyed the characters in this story.

I received a copy in return for a honest review,.

Got the box set Burns like fire - really enjoyed this book. Has plenty of twists and is fast moving, keeps you completely hooked. Things were not what they seem Cindy thinks Jack is dead, Jack thinks Cindy is a murderer - both are wrong.

Shock to the system - this second book in the series is just as fast paced as the first and I couldn't put it down. This book is Cindy's friend Jamie who has been caught by Ethan

As cold as ice - the third book in the series and as great as have come to expect in this series. This is a bit different change of pace as Jessica has been captured but there are still as many twists and we see the darker side of hunters.

Gonna make you howl is a novella from the same series. Gabriel comes back from the dead to save Mina and shows the hunter that not all werewolves are monsters. Good book but was disappointed was over so quick

This is a amazing book with four wonderful and interesting stories in it and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every one of them. What you will find is drama, suspense, intrigue, a variety of twists, chloroform, magical shackles, abducted, Death and/or being experimented on in a laboratory, hate, revenge, draining power from a city block, paranormal hunters, M/M, being a prisoner, werewolves, lust, love, emotional feelings and erotic scenes. The story-line and plots of the stories are well thought out and written, the pace is steady and not rushed and the scene description is excellent. The characters have personality with emotional feelings of revenge, fear, lust and desires. I would recommend this book to people that like to read this kind of book.

Mandy Rosco has done a beautiful job creating a paranormal world with a system of hunters and collectors. This compilation of four stories is quite entertaining. In this world, paranormals are viewed as dangerous creatures and some are but most just mind their own business and live in fear that they will be turned to the Head Office of Paranormal Containment where they may torture and abused them. Each book has a love interest between hunters and paranormals showing that love forgives everything. It has action, suspense and very funny episodes. You will laugh and cry with all the characters that are full of life and courage. I loved that Mandy linked every story and the characters are active through each one.

This is a good boxed set of stories, definitely the best way to read this series. Each book leads you into the next quite cleverly by setting up the next main characters. This is not really a cliffhanger ending as the main storyline of each book does have a satisfactory conclusion. I don't feel a need to outline the stories in this review,as that is done already in the book blurb and also in other reviews, but I can honestly say that the books are well written with interesting stories and characters.

WARNING: Adults only for violence and sexual situations. Enjoyed this first in series anthology, all set in the same world. Even though there were some auto correct-type typos, the stories, themselves were entertaining. I appreciate that she puts her own unique spin on what could otherwise seem to be tired paranormal tropes.

This set contains first four books from the series. Three are full length and one is a novella. Each story is great. We follow the story of paranormals being caught by the hunters. The US govt believes all paranormals are dangerous and should locked up and tested on or killed. All four show different types of paranormals fire, ice, werewolf and electricity. Expect some very steamy scenes including m/f and m/m. Can't wait for the next book.

What an extremely well written series! This writer wastes no time jumping into action and capturing my attention. It starts with a relationship gone terribly wrong and the mystery surrounding it, and the page turning flies by. Each book leads to the other and normally I shy away from boxed sets but in this instance I was very happy to have the series at my fingertips. Another sure fire pleaser for the PNR addicts like me! This ARC was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

I received this arc book free for an honest review. Wonderfully written, a wondrous and sometimes dark tale spun into a new world. Paranormals fighting for their rights and lives. This was a great series and has plenty of room for more stories. It was wonderful how each book, each story wound it's way into the next one. Cannot wait for more from this series.
