Grab the popcorn—someone is about to get slapped or kicked on this episode of Rope ’n Ride. The season finale of the Calhouns’ rodeo reality show ends with Ridge being stood up by the woman he loves and humiliated on national TV. If that isn’t bad enough, an old knee injury has him wincing every time he gets on the back of a bronco, making it difficult to put winning scores up on the board. But he’s determined to shake off his streak of bad luck—and all these marriage proposals from fans pouring in now that the show has aired. Kashley grew up with the Calhouns, playing hide and seek in the cornfields while their fathers talked ranching. And she’s been in love with Ridge…well, forever. He’s never noticed and she’s too shy to make any attempts, but when she sees him struggling after his breakup, coming to his aid is a no-brainer. Which lands her on a whirlwind tour of rodeos, where she’s falling more for him while struggling to rein in his self-destructive behavior. The cameras love to catch Ridge losing his cool, his family is riding him to cut it out and he can’t keep his eyes—or every other body part off Kashley. Then a secret is revealed that has him going after her ex even as his own ex pops into his life again. Between the drama, his old injury and Wranglers that fit too tight after being around the woman he shouldn’t toy with, Ridge is fed up. Plus he couldn’t be in love again so soon, right?

Ya’ll, I try to read everything romance however this trend of social media romances and I do not gel.
I thought it was a typo but the heroine’s name really is Kashley. I didnt want to judge but it really does portend overall feel of the novel.

perfect combination of story and heat. I'm always excited to read an EM Petrova book because it takes me away to a different place and it did not disappoint. Another good book in this series. (all are interconnected but stand alone).

Kashley Cross had been crushing on Ridge Calhoun since before she realized there was a difference in boys and girls… all the Cross’ and all the Calhoun’s knew it but Ridge friend-zoned her well before puberty. Aware Ridge would propose in the next episode, Anna didn’t show up! Kashley’s dad insisted she go comfort him and her mom reminded her she’d always been Ridge’s friend. Kashley visited but realized Ridge was still heartbroken.

Taking up the friendship reins, Kashley helped Ridge him fix the family tractor, dumped his tweeted marriage proposals and suggested therapy for his knee. Going to the next rodeo event to keep Ridge’s temper in check, sex joins the party and things go stratospheric. Relentless press claims Kashley’s Ridge’s rebound girl, Anna returns, Ridge’s temper erupts as he realizes Kashley more than a friend, Wynonna punches a fan and the season is dubbed Calhoun’s Behaving Badly..

Thought it would be boring..ITS Not!!

I don't read a lot of western or rodeo romance books, burnt out on those early on. Janet Daily was my First Romance Book!!- So yeah you can't do rodeo any more country..So now I tend to avoid them. Plus they tend to be a bit more...pure in the sex department. I love sex- that sounds wrong but ya'all know what I mean. In my romance novels. This series..has blown me away.. Its family oriented, funny, romantic, believable a bit..., and your endings make me smile!! You definitely have a new FAN!!!

Kashley and Ridge

Loved this story. Ridge has anger issues. Especially after being dumped by his previous girlfriend Anna. I really couldn’t see a connection with her at all by the way she was described, but I suppose that was the point why they weren’t together. But Kashley is the real deal. And has loved Ridge forever. Shes just the thing he needs to heal his broken heart, and maybe grow up a little to be worthy of a woman like Kashley. This was the third installment of the rope n ride series. I loved every minute of reading it.

Kashley was amazing. She just let herself be whatever Ridge needed. Even when she should have been more protective of herself. Ridge was a little annoying, in a "when the hell are you going to wake up" kind of way. Thankfully Ridge was willing to grovel for Kashley.

As always the Calhouns are the perfect blend of crazy and loving.

Disappointing

Had a hard time liking Ridge and Kashley and frankly, I never did. The incident with Ennis drilling on the Calhoun land was totally dropped from last book. The emphasis throughout the series has pretty much concentrated on the sex acts.

I received an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review and here it is--5 stars.

Em Petrova just hit another one out of the park with this third novel in the Rope 'n Ride series. This is the story of Ridge Calhoun and his childhood friend, Kashley (Kash), who lives with her parents on a neighboring ranch.

As the novel opens, and the season finale of the Rope 'n Ride series approaches, we find Ridge in a small cafe, eagerly awaiting the arrival Anna, who he's known for 4 months and to whom he intends to propose marriage for the season finale and the cameras are rolling, but Anna is late, and after his texts go unanswered and late becomes Anna isn't showing up at all, Ridge is both hurt and humiliated. As if that wasn't enough, his long-ago injured knee has been giving him problems, and that's more bad news for the fourth in the nation bareback bronc rider. Once back at the ranch, he's in a foul mood, and four months later his mood has only gotten worse, and so has his temper.

When Kashley's mom sends her over to the Calhoun ranch with some of her just made strawberry jam, it's the first time Ridge has seen her in a year, and hee notices that in that time she's become more than the tomboy he grew up with--she's become a beautiful woman, and as Kash heads over to where Ridge is working on their dead tractor, they start to catch up as friends, although Kash wishes it were more--she's been in love with him forever, but she's keeping her feelings to herself.

While out shopping one day, she learns that ever since his public humiliation and broken heart, Ridge has gotten into fistfights as soon as anyone even mentions Anna. Kash races back home, boots up her computer and watches the footage, witnessing his most recent fall and knee injury as well as his violent temper. With only two weeks to go before their next rodeo event, his family wants Ridge to calm down because of the reality show, the show's producers are egging him on because it's good for ratings and he's being propositioned and proposed marriage to on his Twitter and email accounts. Kash offers him an out--as his friend, she'll accompany him on the road, try to keep him calm, doctor his injured knee and deal with his hundreds and hundreds of emails.

As we know from previous novels by this author, familiarity breeds lust, which is exactly what happens when Kash and Ridge are together in his pickup truck on the drive to Kansas. What we also learn is that Ridge is the BDSM Calhoun brother and Kash is a natural submissive, and when they finally give into temptation have your air conditioning turned up to high, because the heat between these two reaches nuclear melt-down level, as we've come to expect from Ms. Petrova .

As we also know, the road to love with a Calhoun is never smooth, and this novel is no exception. Stick around for the drama, the angst, and most certainly the fireworks. This turned out to be my favorite novel of the series so far and it's definitely one for adults only.

I love those Calhouns. Ridge is a hot, sexy cowboy that works on his ranch as well as rides broncs. The Calhouns are a very close family; I like this about them. I really like Ridge Calhoun. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and that heart has been broken, but Kashley, the girl next door is there to support him. It is a great story, and the chemistry between them sizzles, no matter where they are. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and I love this book and this series.

Ridge is the third in the Rope 'n Ride series about the Calhoun family making their reality show. Ridge is the hot head of the group and bless his heart, I alternated between feeling sorry for him and wanting to slap him down. His heart got broken and it was all caught on film. His knee is busted up and for a rodeo athlete, that is disaster. Enter Kashley - the pesky little neighbor girl who was his best friend when they were kids. Except shes ALL grown up now. And just what the doctor ordered for both Ridge's injured knee and his broken heart. But with a camera stuck in his face every 15 seconds and exes lurking around every corner (for both of them) - how are they ever going to find the time to be together, much less get his knee back into competition shape?
I have been waiting to get my hands on Ridge and see where his story was going to go and I was not disappointed! I loved being able to catch back up with the characters from the first two books and finally get know Kashley. I can honestly say my opinion of both her character and Ridge's changed from what it was when I first started the series. The author really developed them into strong, likeable, 3-dimensional people. The story line had a fast, smooth flow to it and I read the entire book in just two sittings. I am really looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Ridge is having a hard time getting over the woman he planned to propose to on his family's reality show. He heads back to his family's ranch to get away from the publicity he was facing. His neighbor, Kashley, always had a crush on Ridge. With a little push from her parents, she goes over to see him. The two rekindle their friendship, then quickly become more. The only problem is that Ridge doesn't want a relationship and while Kashley tells him that's ok, she wants more with him.

There were times I disliked the way Ridge treated Kashley. At times he treated her as if she was just a quick rebound to get over his ex. He repeatedly thought about his ex while also thinking about Kashley, comparing the woman to each other. It wasn't fair to Kashley, who only wanted to be there for him. He also had a tendency to be a bit hot-headed, resulting with him ending up in fights.

I loved the Calhoun family and how close and supportive they were of one another. I also liked how they embraced Kashley into their fold without question.

Not having read the previous books in the series, there were times I felt like I was missing some background when it came to the family and the reasons they had they their own reality show. It wasn't enough to take away from my overall enjoyment of the story. In fact, I'll probably go back and check out the previous books.

I recommend giving this book a read.

I enjoyed Ridge's story. How he works through his broken heart with the help of his friend, Kashley. She has been in love with him forever, and their attraction grows strong while they are in close quarters and find they have mutual desires. Their time together is hot and heart warming. The Calhoun family is a caring one even when they are mad, yet they welcome Kashley in with open arms. I recommend this book and the series.

Ridge is the 3rd book in the Rope & Ride series. After the first two books I thought I knew who my favourite was but I admit I was wrong. Oh I really love this brother. Ridge is the hot headed brother who rides the broncs who is just getting over being dumped on tv and is also struggling with a knee injury. Kashley is his childhood best friend who is madly in love with him and offers her services to help him get his knee to some normality so he can compete. This boo is seriously HOT!! Like the other two books the chemistry is off the charts and you could feel it as if you were up close and personal with them. It had that pull on me that I couldn't put it down and I had to read it where ever I was. This is definately my favourite by far. I loved catching up with Buck and Ryder as well as seeing more of an insight to the rest of the family. I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of the siblings. This series just gets better and better.

This book was hotttt!!!

This is one of those books that you can't help but read every chance you get. Yes, the sexy times are a helluva draw, but the actual plot/storyline of the book is very good.

After being humiliated on national television, Ridge is unsure and lacking in confidence in almost every area of his life. His temper is making things difficult for his family, too, but no one seems to be able to get through to him. A visit from his childhood friend Kashley has him rethinking every thing he's ever thought he knew.

Though this is my first glimpse of the Calhoun family, I very much enjoyed their camaraderie and closeness. They seemed like a family I would love to meet in real life: full of sass, joy and love for each other.

While the Calhouns continue their reality T.V show to supplement their income, some family members are dealing with personal issues they would rather not be aired.

Being the brunt of public humiliation was never his ultimate goal, and Ridge deals with this turn of events of well as he has the constant intrusion of cameras in his every day life. But a friend from the past attempts to settle his frayed nerves and provide some much needed support when all the chips are down.

Little does Ridge know that this amazing woman, who he has failed to see as more than a childhood buddy, has blossomed into a powerhouse of sensual curves filled with dark and naughty desires.

If you haven’t started this series yet, make sure to begin with Buck, as you won’t want to miss anything that happens in this family of Rodeo superstars as they live their up and downs in the spotlight.

Another wonderful tale of the Calhoun family in their rodeo life being filmed for a reality show.
This is Ridge's story and his journey of love with Kashley. She is his childhood friend who he finally notices has grown up. Ridge has anger management issues and lashes out at everyone. His former girl friend dumped him and to his humiliation it was all filmed. The sexual tension between him and Kashley fairly steamed up my kindle. Ridge is fed up with the world, injured and frustrated. He wants Kashley but isn't ready for love again. Too many others are sticking their noses into his business.
I really enjoyed this story, filled with angst, drama and love. The characters were real and you'll enjoy getting to know them all. I can't wait for more of this series.

Bustin' more than Broncs

Ridge has been humiliated on national TV by the girl he thought he loved. The reality show his family stars in is causing him nothing but trouble. Ridge is a hot head and his painful love life combined with his knee injury and constant harassment from fans and competitors is making his temper even worse. Kashley is the girl next door firmly in the friendship zone with Ridge. But she's determined to help him stop his downward spiral. Will she help, or make things worse? Can she break out of the friend zone and gain her place in Ridge's life or will she just be his rebound fling? It's rewarding to see how they find each other and Ridge realizes he needs to grow up.

Warning when you pick up this book you will read it cover to cover.

Ridge has anger issues. But who can blame him? Reality tv, being a reality tv star and a numb knee. Who can tame this hot cowboy? Kashley is going to try. She holds some intriguing passions and a past.

If you know the Calhouns you will love Ridge. If you haven't meet the brothers. You will want to after reading this book.

Just loved book #3 in this series. Ridge suffered a break up and Kashley steps in to help Ridge with his bummed knee. She calms him. They grew up together and she's been in love with him forever but Ridge doesn't see it. She keeps him focused on his knee, his family and rodeo career. She has secrets and he comes to depend on her being there. Her secrets are becoming known and he hates it but she sticks by his side until his ex shows up and his secret is revealed. She can't take anymore and leaves. It's up to Ridge to forgive and forget and grovel. Em Petrova sure knows how to write about her cowboys :). Great read. Great series! Love the Rope n' Ride Series. I believe Ridge and Kashley's story is my favorite so far. I wasn't expecting it, just based on Kashley's feelings for Ridge at the beginning of the book. I thought she was going to be sad forlorn, passive, and loving Ridge from afar.

Boy, was I proven wrong. Ridge and Kashley were combustible! Kashley gave as good as she got. Underlying the intense sexual relationship was love and support.

It was interesting reading how Ridge came to terms with his issues because of Kashley's support.

This was a quick, steamy read.

The Calhoun's are getting Hotter!! Ridge is devastated when the woman he believes he loves leaves him and never expected the sparks to fly with his neighbor and friend, Kashley. Kashley is such a strong and independent woman, who although she has secretly loved Ridge for years hasn't stopped living and finding herself.

Fans of this series will love the updates and interactions with all the family and friends from the earlier books. I can't wait for more in this series.
