I love a good sexy rock star book and I can officially say that I’m in love with Gunner!! He’s one sexy, sexy drummer! I loved the whole premise of this book and the relationship between Gunner and Lola! It’s every girls fantasy to be chased by a rock star, well at least this girls, and Lola gets that and more!! The story was fast paced and I loved every single page!!! This book is by far my favorite of the series!!

Leave it to Thia Finn to rip my heart out and put it back in. Patching the open wounds they left. This book may end with a happy ending but you still go on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Not one of the rides that go side-to-side. No, this one went high and then dropped, leaving your heart racing and screaming your lungs out.
Even since the first book I wanted to read more about Gunner. He seemed like the bad boy in the band, always going out and bringing home a different girl. He always cracked jokes with the other members and they always picked on him. Gunner has a great relationship with the band, so reading about him falling in love was awesome. Plus I got to read all about how good he is in the sack.
I loved this new character Lola, think she might be my favorite female character in the series. Even with all the crazy shit happening around her, she was still able to keep a level head. Plus she had me laughing a lot.
In the end, this book made me laugh and cry. What could be better than that?

They say Paris is the city of love and maybe that is true but in this case it is the city of where beliefs can happen.
Gunner met his match while on the tour of a lifetime but after two years and a flash of television set thing back in motion. Two weeks of ups and downs but more happy than crazy is what started the worldwind of fun. Then BAM.... all hell breaks lose and I along with everyone else are at a loss for words and can't put it down. You just have to read and hope as well as pray with Lola.
This book is good, touching on respect, trust, depression, and strength. Raw feelings may be Thia specialty when she writes about her rockers ups and downs and journey for love because it is always spot on with the heartstrings.

This is the first book by Thia that I have read and it definitely won't be the last. I loved Gunner. He shared a passionate night with Lola in Paris and couldn't get her out of his head. They are reunited when they both least expect it. There is passion and a bit of insta-love going on, but they are both blind to the love until something happens to rock Gunner's world. It causes him to let her loose when all he wants to do is hold on tight to her and he breaks her heart. Thank goodness the girl is way to stubborn to give up on her man. I love that she was ready to fight for their relationship and I so enjoyed their story.

Wow!! This is the first book which I have read from this author, and my word, it will definitely not be the last. Lola and Gunner are the main characters, and the chemistry between them is smouldering and hot, hot, hot!
This book is so much more that a love story, it covers depression, strength, and emotion. This is a beautifully written book, and I will certainly be reading more of Thia’s work in the future. I recommend this book to everybody.

This is the first book I have read by Thia Finn and I am now going to make time to go back and read the rest of this series. I am a sucker for a good rock star book and this one definitely delivers. The characters were believable and engaging. You get sucked in and feel like you are right there with them as their stories unfold.
Gunner Wallace is the drummer of the now famous band, Assured Distraction. He is finally back home, in Austin, Texas for some much needed r and r after a long concert tour across Europe and the US. When the one girl that he has not been able to forget is on the local news has has to wonder if she really was the French beauty that he spent such an amazing night with. Deciding that he has to see her again, he attempts to reach out and make contact with her. He has to see if there is more to them than just that one, sexy, hot night in Paris over a year ago. Gunner has slowly started to tire of the groupies and meaningless sex that happens while on tour. He wants more out of life, but hesitates because of his career.
Lola is the daughter of a Frenchman, who works in the Parliament. She has just returned to the US after spending time in Paris with her father and working in a local hospital. Now that she is home, she wants to find a place of her own and a good job in pediatrics, she is a nurse and really enjoys the work. When an altercation on the plane home shoots her into the spotlight and an old flame reaches out to her. She has to wonder if the time she spent with Gunner in Paris could become something more and takes a chance at seeing him again.
The sparks fly between these two characters. Thia writes some sexy, smokin' hot scenes and the chemistry between these two is awesome. Gunner comes across as this badass, alpha drummer, with a dirty mouth, who isn't afraid to go after what he wants. Lola is a strong character, she is determined to make it on her own and prove that she is capable of taking care of herself. I was sucked into their story from the beginning and could not put it down. Although I found some inconsistencies and editing issues, I did not base my rating off of them. Plus, my copy may have not been the final edited draft. Overall, this was a great, sexy read and I look forward to more of this author's work.

It just keeps getting better and better. This is a standalone book and we get to read about Gunner (the drummer) and Lola's romance.
It started out as just one night of wild and hot sex. A year later and Gunner gets a second chance with Lola when she moves back to the states. But secrets may prevent what he hoped for a future with Lola.
Lola never expected to see Gunner again but his excitement and 2 weeks vacation, she plans to make the most of it. But she hasn't been completely honest.
Let's just say I loved Gunner and Lola I think more than the first two couples. He's got it all. Sexy body, sexy tattoos, Amazing sex!!! I mean hot hot sex scenes in this book had me fanning myself. And their story is not too far fetched. They both lead different lives that make a relationship seem impossible. There are secrets that are minor that can easily break trust and fall apart. But the author has done a spectacular job and pulling you in from the beginning and keeping you on the edge the rest of the time hoping for the best. I can't wait to read more from her. I'm really hoping for Carters story now :) (hint hint)

Gunner has finally arrived home, the band have just compleated another tour!!! When he spots something on tv about Lola, she begins to fill his mind... Again!!!
Lola had one night in Paris with Gunner following the Assured Distraction concert... But he has never left her mind in the year following!!!
They eventually make contact and WOW... The chemistry is bloody explosive... You can feel the buzz through the pages!!!
With a hell of a twist that really does rip at the heart strings... I could not stop reading!!! (I was up until 4am with this book)
Thia writes with such a deep passion for these characters that you feel part of the actual story!!! (I even felt like i was at the concert). An absolutely brilliant series and i am desperate to know what she has planned next... One thing i'm clear on, is that i will be definitely 1 clicking whatever it is!!! Ms Finn has knocked me on my ass with Assured Distraction and has made me crave, 'more'!!!

This is the best Assured Distraction yet.
Gunner & Lola have such sizzling chemistry. I love Lola's personality. Its so refreshing when you have a leading lady who is not a wilting needy flower. Lola is strong and fun and I can see myself hanging out with her.
Gunner? Sexy as hell! Stubborn and at times plain out & out stupid. But he comes around and learns a lot about himself and love!
The sex? Off the charts melt your panties hot! Datum does that boy have the moves!
Can't wait to see what's next with my favorite band!

Received an advanced copy for an honest review.
I love this series. I really do. I love the characters. I love the story.
But I have an issue with the proofreading, editing, formatting, and incorrect word usage. It's such a great series, but the errors in the book make it a little hard to read. Just when I'm getting into the book there's an issue with something. It just throws off the flow of the book.

This was a great read, that I enjoyed all the way through. It moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters and a story that needs to be read. There is no doubt that this needs to be read and added to your TBR list.

Ha! I knew it! Written in 1st person! I KNEW the first two books weren’t naturally written in 3rd person.
OK, this is our of whack. In the previous book, it’s a 3 month tour now it’s a 4 month tour. Girl from first book met her real dad a few weeks ago, but those weeks have suddenly become a few years ago… WTF?
I hate name- and brand dropping. It dates the book quickly, and it screams newbie writer.
Uh… He DOESN’T have her US number and then suddenly he’s texting her? Who the hell is proofreading this? And it was 8 weeks, not 3. I’m serious, who is proofreading this?
All the over-explaining is making me feel dumb. Like I’m too ditzy to remember what happend 2 pages before. Every character is going off on a defensive tangent all the bloody time. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BEAT EVERYTHING TO DEATH WITH WORDS! A simple hello is often very much enough!
…and I guess she has no clue about French politics. They are NOTHING like US politics. So anyone reading this book, please ignore what you’re reading here. It’s incorrect information.

Wow and double wow, His Assurance is the best book in the series so far. This third book in the series will have your emotions running all over the place and will have your anxiety levels at an all time high. You will be constantly on the edge of your seat with Gunner and Lola's story. These two have a connection that they have not been able to deny since their one night in Paris and when Gunner finds his Cherry Pie in Austin there is no way he is going without dessert. As the drummer from Assured Distraction tries to work out what it is that he has with his Paris beauty road blocks will be thrown up at every turn causing him to push her away. Lola knows that there is more to Gunner than meets the eye but can she be strong enough to show this tattooed bad boy that maybe he is the good in life she needs. His Assurance is funny, flirty, full of angst, secrets, drama and a stadium full of hot and steamy to keep you warm on the coldest of nights.

This was a good story, just not as good as the first two. Gunner is the good looking sexy rockstar drummer of the group. He is kind of a big whore and when he meets Lola in Paris during their European tour sparks were flying. He felt something for Lola he never felt before and Lola felt it too. There were things she never told him and when they ended up in Texas she knew she had to be honest. I don’t want to give the story away. I hated that he pushed her away, twice. She didn’t deserve that and the reason sucked. This book never explains why he didn’t believe in love. His parents were happily married so what was the issue? It was never explained so I couldn’t give it five stars. It’s still a good but and I recommend it.

I loved the fall of a single guy, a single musician guy who loved the smorgasbord of women who would drop their panties for him! That is until Paris where he met Lola who would change his life forever. They both knew there was extreme attraction but it would be a year before they met again. This pivotal meeting would be the start of a hard won hea. From Paris to Austin, Texas, this couple is about to experience a potential career ending situation which can also end their relationship forever.
Well written with just the right ingredients for a great story...a little humor, hot sex and emotional turmoil. Loved it!

I love a strong heroine & that is Gunner’s girl
We find the band in between tours and Gunner’s girl he met in Paris comes back into his life. We get to catch up with all the band family with a whole group of guests included. There is an unexpected plot twist and keeps you turning the pages. A great read

This book is written a lot better than the first two and I think Gunner’s story is my fave so far!

This book follows the 3rd band member Gunner and his beautiful french lady. Gunner was always the fun, laidback, ladies man of the group. Him and Carter were always the ones that'd get the groupies lined up for him. I loved reading about how he gave it all up for 1 lady. This book made me love Gunner even more

His Assurance Thia Finn
With a hot Rocker as the lead this book was a must read for me, Thia Finn's His Assurance does not disappoint. A really enjoyable read I loved His Assurance, is the 3rd book in the assured distraction. I think ideally it probably should be read as part of the series and not as a stand alone (I read it as a standalone and loved it and have now gone downloaded the first 2 books ready for when my TBR list goes down a little).
Assured Distraction Drummer Gunnar Wallace never thought a one night stand in Paris with a Hot French number Lola would change his life. The ONS happens just before the the band leaves Paris to go to the next stage off their world tour. Never expecting Lola to come to the US when he sees heron the news he has to see her again. Dual citizen Lola has a tough return to the US when she is accosted by a drunken sleeze on the plain resulting in her arrest. Luckily the news coverage brings her rocker ONS back into her life.
I loved the characters in this book not just the leads who you expect to connect with but the supporting cast too, Lola's little sister and her friends, the members of Assured Distraction and their entourage. The best books for me are those where I become a part of the story and with His Assurance I certainly did that feeling the highs and lows and yes a little ahem excitable when Gunnar was around. 5 stars all the way for this hot rocker read.

Another wonderful rocker book from Thia Finn. Gunner is the drummer of Assured Distraction. He has always been known as a man whore, but he is different with Lola. Lola wasn’t one to do the one night stand. When her friend dragged her back stage, one look at Gunner was all it took to realize she wanted him. She watched the tour bus pull away wishing for more time.
Circumstances, fate bring about a second chance. Loved, loved how Gunner went out of his way for Lola in Austin. The sweetness—-OMG!!!! Swoon worthy, panty dropping.
The story has its turning points. The story has its sad moments. The story has helpless moments. A tragic accident leaves Gunner questioning everything, fearing the future. Doubts riddle his thought causing him to make irrational decisions. A woman’s strength and determination is the only thing that will get him through it, and only if he lets Lola in.

I loved this book. When I first started reading it I thought it was a little slow but I really got into the whole story and saw that explanation was needed. How they met years ago and had a one night stand and tried to stay in contact but lost contact with each other. Both wished for more but neither would take the chance.
Gunner sees Lola on the news after she is released from jail and tries to connect with her but reaches her Dad who them
n relays the message to Lola. They reconnect and Lola tells him she will meet in Austin where he lives and she will be staying for a week with her sister and 4 of her sisters young friends. Gunner and Lola pick up where they left off in Paris, the chemistry between these two is off the charts. Lola is an outgoing, caring, kind, compassionate person with sense of adventure and a knack for finding trouble. Gunner is sexy, stubborn a man.
The relationship between these two is on, off, on a few times until Lola takes the bull by the horns and they finally come together in love.
