Redemption for Misty
A year ago Misty was kidnapped and left for dead in the floor of a dirty garage, when she was saved by the guys from Pierce Security. Since then, she’s been living with her brother to save money, while working to build up business for her coffee shop that donates proceeds to victims of violent crimes against women. When her over protective brother goes out of town, he leaves his Army buddy Chris, AKA, Casanova to stay with her, with explicit instructions to just keep her safe, not to get into her panties. But his heart has other plans. Chris has been in love with Misty’s picture for years. With the strong need to protect also comes overwhelming feelings of desire.
But things change when the mysterious ‘Ghost’, a regular at her shop, comes in hinting about some unseen danger. Chris and Misty learn promises are meant to be broken and consequences are worth accepting when danger threatens what you love the most.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
Prior to reading this novella, I had not been introduced to Anne Conley. Score! I loved it! It is part of a series, that I now have to go back and read, but can be read as a stand alone novella. It is a part of the Pierce Security series.
Misty and her friend Mia were kidnapped, tortured, and left for dead a year ago. Misty's brother, who was stationed overseas at the time, wasn't there to protect Misty. So out of guilt, he's become extremely overprotective. Misty lives with her brother since the kidnapping. When he has to go out of town for a month, he asks his former Army buddy and best friend, to move in with Misty to keep an eye on her. Chris, Casanova to his Army buddies, jumps at the chance to live with Misty. He's loved her from afar for years! He knows nothing can happen between then, but his heart doesn't get the message...
Chris works hard to win Misty over and quickly realizes she's "the one" for him. Now they have to convince her brother. In the meantime, we "meet" Ghost. Ghost is Special Forces and is working a case. Lately, there's been chatter of terrorist activity centered around the coffee shop that Misty and Mia opened after their ordeal. Some of the proceeds go to help other victims of crime. Ghost warns Misty and Chris of the terrorist chatter. Misty take Ghost seriously, but she also doesn't know he's Special Forces.
As a surprise, Misty's brother comes back early to find his sister in bed with Chris. He's livid! He thought he could trust Chris to protect his sister and NOT sleep with her. Because he's mad and not thinking, he takes Chris with him to work for the day with Pierce Securities. Chris, believing Ghost's warnings, wants to go with Misty to the coffee shop, but is also trying to make peace. So he leaves Misty unprotected.....
This was a fast, suspense filled novella. I really enjoyed the interaction between Chris and Ghost. If you're familiar with Susan Stoker, you know who Ghost is! Highly recommended!

Wow. MUST READ: This was my first Anne Conley book, AND it won't be my last. I've already started the Pierce Securities series.
Misty is a very sassy, strong, independent woman. She co-owns a coffee shop with her best friend. They went through something together a year ago that was horrific. Her over protective brother is leaving on an assignment and doesn't want to leave her alone. He knows he can trust his friend Casanova, Nova for short, to protect her. She doesn't need or want anyone watching over her, but in the end she's glad its Nova. When things get dangerous she's glad she has him and "Ghost" (a regular at her coffee shop) on her side.
Redemption for Misty is an incredible book, a must read. I didn't know most of the other characters in the book but that's okay. Anne gives brief descriptions and back stories so you know who's who. And she gives just enough that you'll be hooked and want to read their stories. Very sneaky. I was suggested this book by Susan Stoker another author. Ghost is one of the characters in her book Rescuing Rayne. If you get a chance check her series. I'm so glad Susan suggest Anne's book because now I am hooked.

Got thIs ARC for an honest review a review
This is one of the books from the Susan Stoker's Kindle World.
Misty was kidnapped, she's coming to terms with that. But doesn't like to be left alone at night and her brother arranges for his friend Christopher Casanova or Nova to look out for her while he is away this does not go down well with her as you can imagine but she does see the sense in it,just that it would have been nice if she had been asked Chris who's been halfway in love with her since the incident that happened with her. Tries his best to keep on a professional level and keep the brother Code you don't date your friend's Sister in mind but as danger lurks, events brings them closer. It's a really good story. It has all the romance of the elements that you need whilst fitting in well with Susan Stoker's Delta Forces I don't think anybody will be disappointed with this read

Chris "Nova" will do anything for his best friend and teammate. The years of military service had built bonds with each other so he was always willing to help a friend. So when his buddy Crash asked a favor of him to come stay at his home while he goes out of town, of course he says yes. Not only does is get him out of his parent's house, where he is currently crashing until he finds a place, but it puts him in close proximity to a girl he has never meet, but is desperately attracted to. He just doesn't tell his buddy that it is his younger sister Misty. Crash just wants someone to keep an eye on his sister due to worry about her after being kidnapped the previous year. Chris agrees to help his buddy but really wants to meet a women he fell in love with over a year ago.
What happens when you put the two characters together is pure magic but how is Misty's brother and Chris's best friend going to feel about these to together? And when a mysterious man shows up around Misty's work, can the path for these two ever be easy?
Loved this story. Really loved the character of Misty and what she dealt with and how she worked so hard to bring her life back around. Chris and Misty together were simply magic and Crash added the perfect element of the big brother. Just a hint of Ghost and it all made for one great story.

This is my first book by Anne Conley and it won't be the last!
This book was hot/steamy and had me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Misty is first heard about in the book called Grab in Anne's Pierce Securities series. She was kidnapped and saved. In this book you will meet all those characters from the previous books with the additional characters of Ghost and Chris. Chris is sent to watch over her while Misty's brother is away and well let's just say what was supposed to be just helping a buddy out turned out to be much, much more. Ghost is from Susan Stoker's Delta Hero Serious (Rescuing Rayne is his book, let me just say GO find it and read it LOL) and he shows up at the coffee shop where Misty works, warning Chris and Misty to stay safe because there is word something might be going down. So Chris will do anything and everything to keep Misty Safe.
LOVED the book and anyone want long to read an awesome book about love and a man that would do anything to save his woman then this is your book! It also doesn't help most of the men are military and that basically seals the deal for me. Love finding new authors and I have already bought all of the other books in the Pierce Securities Series!

It isn’t often that you find a new author that brings worlds to life and be creative within that world but still create new and unique situations for all their characters. Anne Conley is one author that can. I read Redemption for Misty as part of a Kindle World release and absolutely fell in love with Ms. Conley’s writing style and her people. In fact, as soon as I finished Redemption for Misty (a novella) I went and one-clicked her original Pierce Securities series and am almost finished reading it. In fact I am on the last book. I cannot wait for the next one.

Loved this story of Cassa (Nova) and Misty. Misty was a victim of a brutal kidnapping and assault and left for dead. She was found by her brothers friends of the Pierce Security. Once she had recovered she opened her own Coffee Shop.
Nova has had a thing for Misty for years, but never gave into the temptation of her until her brother has to leave town and he is left to "babysit" her. Being in such close quarters it is hard to resist her.
When Ghost shows up and asks Nova to keep and extra look out for Misty as there was some bad chatter happening in the area. Nova does what he can to keep her safe. But once again she is in the middle of violence that may just keep them apart forever. Nova has to find a way to disarm the customer that has taken over the shop.
Love the way this story covers all the bases. Looking forward to reading the Pierce Security series by Anne Conley. Well done, adding Susan Stokers characters into your story.

I just have to start with you will truly like to read this book. For me it was read in a few hours but it was awesome. This was my first time reading anything by Anne Conley and I loved it! I am eager to read more of her books. Misty and Nova are two characters that I liked seeing their relationship develop and their walk to loving each other. Misty is rather angry at her brother for bringing in a friend of his to babysit her and unfortunately she is not immune to Chris as she thought. Her love for him is tested when her brother returns and separates them; but in a case of wrong time wrong place Misty's life is in danger and Chris risks his life to save her. Misty confronts her brother explaining that she too loves Chris and it's happily ever after.

Misty and Chris are great characters and i enjoy the mix of suspense, romance and friendship the author depicts.
Misty has gone through a very traumatic experience and now she lives with his brother. When her brother needs to go on a business trip, he asks Chris to move in and take care of his little sister. Chris feels attracted for Misty since way before meeting her in person. The romance builds little by little and Chris will need to decide if he wants to respect the bro code or act according to his feelings for Misty.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. This story has action, suspense and romance. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. Chris is sexy and hot and known as ladies man so he's known as Casanova(Nova). Misty is brave, strong and feisty. Chris idolizes Misty after hearing about the tragedy Misty suffers. He falls in love with her picture and her bravery. The attraction between Chris and Misty is strong and the chemistry hot. You will love the characters. This book is must read and will not disappoint. Received copy for honest review.

Redemption for Misty was the first book I have read of Anne Conley. I am an avid Susan Stoker's reader and was excited to read other authors use of her characters. I liked how Anne included Ghost in her story about Misty. The book was very well written and kept me engaged. This was a fast paced book with a good story line. The little bit of back story that was in the book made me want to read all of the Pierce Security books. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of Anne Conley's books.

Amazing story. This read has it all, hot and steamy romance and guns blazing action. Chris, code name Cassanova, has no trouble attracting the ladies. But he's had a thing for his friends sister Misty, even though they have never met.
Misty is dealing with some traumatic events in her life, but feels an instant attraction to Chris.
I loved this story and cannot wait to read more of this authors's work.

I could NOT put this book down. Once I started it I was hooked. I LOVE LOVE LOVED Misty's character and Nova. Anne did an amazing job with this book and has me reading her other books as well an I'm literally hooked on Anne!! A HUGE HUGE HUGE must read. Love the glimps of Ghost that were sprinkled in the book too!!!!!

Really enjoyed this book. Had me hooked from first chapter. Was one of those books that I needed to know what was going to happen next.
Loved Misty and Nova! Loved the build up to their relationship. Great mix of romance and suspense throughout the book.
I will definitely be reading the pierce security series to find out more about the other characters.

Loved this book. This is my first read of Anne Conley but wow it was excellent. Don't like giving the story lines away but I was hooked straight away. One of those books you cannot put down. Great love story with protection and love blossoms. I have already bought another of her series. Great writer.

Perfect; there’s recurring characters from the rest of this series & they're perfectly true to themselves even with their complexity. The new characters introduced here are also perfect, they fit in perfectly and are just as complex as the rest. I look forward to more glimpses of them in the rest of this series, as always with the Pierce crew & friends. Getting a closer look at Misty is awesome; the glimpse we’re afforded in Grab sets her up absolutely perfectly for this starring role.

Really quick read- just an hour or two, so it left me wanting more but only because I’m addicted to the Pierce world, not because it doesn’t wrap up perfectly.
I did predict it, but that didn’t take away from the reading experience at all, and I was still impressed with Conley’s ability to have some originality and a dose of reality thrown into the action. In a story of forbidden love, it’s not tired- there’s a fresh aspect to this one.
There’s also some pretty great banter that both makes me laugh, and makes me forget I’m submerged in a fictional world.
Recommend this and all of the Pierce Securities Series. It got me wanting some more of this Delta Forces Kindle World too… great, another addiction.

This is an amazing novella which involves a couple main characters that aren't really a part of the security agency but the heroine happens to be one of the victims that was rescued in book 4 and later ends up opening a coffee shop with Mia, who was the heroine from book 4. And as usual Ms. Conley weave her magic throughout this book and ties everything up so nice. She gives us an amazing love story in a small package. But even though this is only a novella, it still contains all of the key elements that she puts into her full length novels! I don't know how the hell she does it but she can suck me into the middle of one of her books without me even realizing it. I'll make up my mind to just read a couple chapters because I have housework to do and before I know it I am either seeing "The End" staring me in the face or I happen to check the clock and not only did I NOT get the housework done, but I hadn't even begun to get supper on the stove! I love an author that I can lose myself between the covers and Ms. Conley is one of those authors!

This was a great and fast read. My first time reading a book from this Author. I had the joy of meeting Anne in person and she is a lovely person. I can’t wait to read more of her books!

This was a relatively short book and I'll have to read the full length books in this series sometime soon to see how it compares to this novella. I didn't really enjoy it but I didn't feel like my time was wasted either. It was just one of those "not my cup of tea" results. Everything was too fast and I felt like we didn't get to know the characters well enough. They were likable but not memorable to me. They had chemistry sure, but there wasn't any development between them for me. They were awkward roommates one minute and the next they were panting after each other like dogs in heat. There was nothing special about them that made me anticipate them getting together. It was very basic, a beginning, the middle, and an ending, done. There was nothing extra that added excitement or made you wanna read faster. I skipped past the sex scene and I've found that if I'm not interested in a sex scene, the characters a d story aren't doing anything for me.
One thing was said that I didn't agree with and felt slightly exaggerated in my opinion was Misty surviving her attack. I get that the objective is to encourage her to get back to normal and make her feel safe and cared for but telling them that her whole brother's platoon idolized her simply for surviving what she went through is disrespectful to people in that situation who don't cope as well as she did. What about the people who were so much more traumatized than she was and they just couldn't deal? Does that make them weak? What about the people who were killed in and didn't have a fighting chance? Did they not fight hard enough? Did they deserve to die because they lost any hope of survival and gave up? Did they not want to live as much as her because she survived and they didn't? Praising someone for being a survivor as if it's this amazing feat is like spitting on another's grave who didn't make it or couldn't recover and killed themselves. Praise her for how well she's recovered. Root for her to be able to live a normal life again. Cheer for her to overcome her fears. But don't tell her she's amazing for coming out alive because 1) It's disrespectful to those that didn't make it, and 2) It easily could have been anyone else that lived because she didn't escape or take her attacker down, she was left for dead and rescued.
That was the only thing that bothered me other than the lack of relationship building between Chris and Misty. I will be reading the others in this series and hope that they hold up much better than this one. I won't read this book in particular again though and am fine with keeping this an unofficial addition to the series apart from the others.

I was so happy to get to read how Misty had survived the attack!! I also LOVE getting a glimpse into my Pierce Securities guys!!
I absolutely love how Anne Conley transports you into the story and you can feel all of the emotions that the characters are feeling.
These characters are like family, I miss them when I don't read for awhile... Also reading this made me want to check out the rest of the books in the Special Forces collection. I liked that the author wasn't afraid to tackle sensitive topics with this book and to open eyes to what is happening in the world.

Oh my goodness! Another great read from Anne Conley. I like how the story is its own with history from previous tidbits from the previous books tossed in. It helps the book to flow without thinking you are missing something. It is a standalone, so you do not have to read the other books to understand this one. However, reading the first books are highly encouraged as they are good books as well.
This book shows how Misty, having gone through a terrible time that could have made her like a meek little mouse afraid of her own shadows, can overcome her circumstances and become a stronger person because of it. I really thought that the way she stood up for herself was a good twist to the story. It really shows that you don’t have to let things control you, you can determine your ultimate path.
I thought Chris’ character was done really well. He was real and connectable. I liked how the history was thrown in to show how he had cared for Misty for a long time. This helped add to the battle he faced within to not get involved especially since it is his best friend’s sister. The way that he fights his inner battles and finally gives in really added to the story.
I thought the way Ghost popping in and out in various places throughout added to the story and makes you want to know his story.
A really good story, well worth the money to read. If you like romance with as little military and some suspense thrown in, then this book is for you!
