I was looking for a black-haired, tattooed bombshell—and, when I walked into Pinky’s Bar, I found one.
Hannah Hammond was right where I thought she’d be, right when I thought she’d be there, which was pretty convenient. But, hell, it didn’t make my “assignment” any easier. Someone had paid me to find Hannah and bring her back from L.A. to Nevada, and, given what I knew about her, I knew that getting her to come with me would be incredibly hard… But, I had no idea just how hard it would be, or just how deeply this assignment—and this woman—would affect me.
Hannah
Of all the bars in L.A., he had to walk into mine…
No joke. I stopped in for in a drink on my way home from an appointment, and, lo and behold, a tall, dark, handsome stranger walked in—looking for me. And, the reason he was looking for me was the shock of a lifetime—and, so was everything else that happened from the moment I met him.
Nico Simms might be a “professional,” and he might think he knows my story, but he’s got another thing coming to him if he thinks he’s gonna be the one behind the wheel on this ride.
There's a lot of going back and forth in time in this . Historic events have lead to this conclusion most of which happens before any of the pervious books, but saying that you still have to read them all in order to understand where this book is coming from and is going. I'm glad I read this series there were some difficult family situations covered in this and it was interesting to see how the author explored it.
Hannah’s life had finally settled. She had a son, a home, and her place with the Wolves. So, when a man walks into a bar looking for her she doesn’t immediately give herself up. When he turns up at her favourite restaurant she knows she’s either got a serious stalker or trouble had found her once again. This is another great story from the Riding with Wolves series. Hannah’s story is an interesting one as it lays out all of her vulnerabilities and her terrible history. It also steps closer to the ongoing mystery of where Katy has disappeared to.
This story was missing a lot if the elements that made the previous books in this serious better. This book was so drawn out and storyline was overly convoluted. The editing was very poorly done. It seems as if the author did one quick read through and called it good enough. I found all the mistakes to be distracting. The worst thing any author can do, it to try to self edit.
Fast paced knot of story threads, beginning's and endings. The speaking voices were clear and strong. This is a tale for when you need to be transported somewhere else.
It would have been better if it had been edited. The errors took away from the enjoyment of the book. The story itself had an okay plot but it could have been better.
