Robbed
Annabel’s father dies when she was about six. Annabel and mother are just the same in temperament. She grew up to do everything her way she wasn’t afraid of anything. She decided that she didn’t need any man, she could take care of her self.
She loved stories where women did daring things. Anne Oakley for her shooting skills and another woman named Pearl who robs people. She gets it in her crazy brain that she to will rob a stage coach.
Wade lives with his father. His dad is very sick and doesn’t have long. He tells wade he wants him to get married. Wade is on his way to pick up his mail order bride when he is set upon by a robber.

A Tale of How a Young Woman Met Her Match in a Young Man
Annabelle did not want to act prissy like a girl. She wanted to be rough and tough like a man. She became bored and decided to rob someone. After a failed attempt to rob a stage coach, she went home and Hid out. Wade, a young man who had been on the coach started helping with her father and with the ranch work. Annabelle's father died and the young man decided they should be married so they could both take care of his father. After a time his father died also.

Annabel is free-spirited, spontaneous, and a little crazy... but I LOVED her for it. While her behavior (and the resulting narrative) is half-ridiculous, I enjoyed the break from realistic Christian fiction, exclaiming "oh my!" at her actions and their consequences, and the resulting laughter (and stifled guffaws).
Recommend to anyone who enjoys historical Christian romance and is looking for a good laugh.
