After the Gathosians invade Earth and enslave its surviving population, Winter is forced to work in an alien-run refinery. Instalove at it's best, or worst, take your pick. It's still not a bad read.

Ulrick is the protectorate of the civilians, and under unsavory circumstance he met Cub. Cub disguises herself as a man and work on the refinery. After being rescued, brought in Autumn's embassy, debriefed, and change her name as Winter; she was sent to spy to Ulrick. It is really disconcerting that an hour after their meeting she is discovered.
Anyway, we are given glimpse of what Ulrick is like aside from the laid-back leader that he was described in the first book. Only with Winter can he show what he is and what he is capable of. The actions that Winter made in order to gain Ulrick's trust to join the spy is commendable. We were also given the side story of Evard, the chemist of the addicting drug the Ganosians use to control everyone. Overall, I enjoyed this read.

More development into the story. The resistance gains new members and they find out the location of the scientist that they are looking for. Rescue missions and plots abound. Still interesting and getting more so, only two books left in the series but things are a bit slow moving so I'm hoping that there is a conclusion and not a second series ahead.

What a Winter
The more I venture down the rabbit hole the more the series sucks me in. We get closer to destroying the beings that are holding the people of earth. With more people helping out the resistance, they are that closer to getting the upper hand. I cannot wait to read more of this story.

Es un relato realmente interesante. Lo que Winter y Ulrick van descubriendo poco a poco de sí mismos y del mundo en que viven. Me ha gustado ese mundo que ha creado la autora y cómo va evolucionando de una novela a otra, pese a lo cortas que son. Buen trabajo, sin duda. Una novelita muy sensual.
