An early short story by Andrews that is set in the Cold War era of mid-1980s. I like stories based on that time period and this one had the necessary elements one would expect including the infamous Aldrich Ames. Since it is a short story, I think too many words were used on naval terminology that didn't add to the story. However, there was a sense of suspense created about the fate of the defector so that is why I rounded up from 3.5 stars to 4.
