One hero, assumed dead. One woman who refuses to give up. One destiny. Anna Boone won’t give up the search for her cousin, Sarah, who everyone assumes dead. And she refuses to give up on the wounded bear found next to the ashes of her cousin’s house. There’s something deep in his eyes and in his soul she just can’t resist. Something special. Something…human, almost. When her search for the truth leads her to the Blue Moon Saloon, Anna finds more than she ever bargained for — and unwittingly leads a deadly foe to those she loves most.
Behind the doors of the Blue Moon Saloon, alpha shifters confront their darkest fears and their deepest desires. This book is a complete standalone story - no cliffhangers!
* A paranormal romance with adult content. The perfect read for fans of strong heroines, alpha heroes, werewolves, werebears, and shapeshifters, red-hot cowboys, romantic westerns, paranormal suspense, action-adventure romance, and fantasy romance! *
USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.
On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.
Salvation is book four in the Blue Moon Saloon series by Anna Lowe.
I have been enjoying this series and even though each book in the series can be read as a stand-a-lone. I recommend reading the series in order. I always feel that series books are best in order, giving you more understanding and perspective of the storyline, world, and characters.
I love shifters, especially bears. They are just so cuddly and adorable. This book focuses on Todd (bear shifter) and Anna (human), both are searching for something. Anna knows deep down her cousin Sarah is still alive and Todd well he’s not sure how or why he’s still breathing. This story ties into the previous book Redemption, so if you don’t read any of the others, you should pick up Redemption first.
Their relationship is not quite instant love since Todd and Anna have meet before, but they can’t place the moment yet. I didn’t fully feel their relationship as I have with the others. They spend a lot of time avoiding each other until Anna decides to let go and go for what she wants. I just felt like something was missing, really can’t put my finger on it, but I still very much enjoyed their romance and story.
Their was also so much going on behind the obvious and a few surprises along the way. It’s heartfelt, delightful, and touching. It's also loaded with action and adventure.
As always Ms. Lowe knows how to pull the reader in and take us on an emotional journey. The writing is well done and keeps me coming back for more. Salvation is a deep emotional journey. I highly recommend the Blue Moon Saloon and also The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series.

Love Anna Lowe's writing! I'm always excited when I read one of her books! Before reading this book, make sure to read the previous books! Mainly the book right before this one because it features a storyline that continues into this book, so definitely check that one out first! This book is Anna and Todd's story. Anna, who is the cousin of Sarah from the previous book, and has always felt like her cousin is alive despite what those around her think, so she sets out in search of her cousin, but she finds out a whole lot more than she ever expected. Todd, a bear shifter, who is the cousin of Soren from the previous book, hasn't been having a very easy life lately. He was severely injured during an attack, and when Destiny leads him to Soren and Sarah's doorstep, he finds out some surprising things that further complicate his life, but when he sees Anna, things start looking up for him, but he doesn't feel worthy of her, and there is a lot that Anna doesn't know. Todd and Anna are really sweet with each other, and I love how sure Anna is in how she feels about Todd. Some hot moments between the two! There's still the possible danger of the "Pure" group hunting down the shifters that mix with human and other types of shifters to add suspense and action to the story, which is always entertaining and fun to read. There's also some personal drama between Todd and Soren and Sarah, which isn't my favorite storyline, but is still an interesting one. I felt bad for Anna at times, and I was really hoping something would work out for her a little differently, and come to think of it, for Todd too, but in the end, I was okay with how it turned out. This is a heartfelt, hopeful story! Looking forward to the next book!
This was a really good read, I have read the series from the start and have to say I love these bear shifters.
This book features Todd, his been on the road for a while, following his instincts - he was badly injured and almost gave up on life but he made it through and is now a little lost, and as I said following his instincts.
Anna hasn't given up on finding her cousin, she just can't accept she is dead, so when a possible sighting is reported she jumps in her car to check it out, not knowing this trip is a life changer.
I loved their relationship, I would say it was instant love but that is not entirely true as they have met before even if they can place the moment.
Soren and Sarah feature in this story and damn I think I fell for Soren a little more in this book, a man and a baby <3.
Todd is hot and very handy, he does amazing things with the Deck - talking about the deck I loved the warm and sexy scene set there.
The story does have danger and to be honest the fight scene felt very dangerous, and even though we know they will be okay I felt worried! The book then does a 360 on you as it goes from danger to mushy and the mushy bought a tear to my eyes.
This is a self-contained stories and yet part of a series. This is Todd and Anna's story. Todd a bear shifter and cousin to the Alpha shows up in town the same day as Anna. Anna is a human and is looking for her cousin Sarah and ends her in this small town. But so much is going on behind the obvious. Heartfelt and entertaining along with lots of action and adventure in this well written story.
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone Part of a Series?: Yes ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Anna - Sarah's cousin and destined mate to Todd Todd - Bear shifter cousin to Soren ---------------------------------- What happens? Anna believes her cousin died in the fire that took her whole family. She is at this point unaware about shifters but has encountered the blue bloods sniffing around trying to get her to lead them to their target which is Sarah and her baby Teddy. Todd is a bear shifter that was presumed dead by Sarah and Soren. He finds them on the same day he finds Anna and realises she is his destined mate and also realises he has a son he cannot claim. Final thoughts Liked their romance together. Sad he couldn't be a dad to Teddy but that sort of sorts itself out in the end. Would I read again?: Yes Would I read this author again?: Yes
**Disclaimer: I highly recommend reading this series in order to fully grasp the characters and storylines that have continued throughout each book since the prequel, Perfection.**
Todd knows it's a miracle that he survived the attack in his clan, and he's experiencing yet another miracle when his wandering leads him to his cousin, Soren. As happy as he is to find his family, he knows he has to admit his betrayal to Soren. He can't explain the crazy impulse that lead to his actions, but he knows he has to confess that he slept with Sarah, Soren's human mate a year ago. It seems Soren has something to share with Todd as well.
Anna is determined to find her cousin, Sarah. She just knows in her heart that she isn't dead. Everyone else is gone, but Sarah can't be too. She will find her...and she does. She also finds so much more than she could've ever imagined, including the bear she set free.
Todd can't believe that his one night, the night that felt like he wasn't himself, resulted in a son. He has a son with his cousin's mate. How can Soren not hate him? He can't even explain what happened. He had never thought of Sarah that way, yet it's like they couldn't stop themselves, they had to be together, but it felt like he wasn't truly there, like Sarah was with someone else. When Soren and Sarah explain what they believe happened, a little of his guilt leaves him, however it doesn't change the fact that it did happ. And now he has to explain to his new mate, Anna, Sarah's cousin, why he has a son with Sarah.
Will Anna be able to accept Todd's son with Sarah? Will Todd and Anna be able to move forward with their future or will it just be too much for her to take? How will Todd, Anna, Soren, and Sarah adjust to being in the same area? To Todd being in his son's life? Will Todd and Soren be able to resolve any hurt that may be between them? Will Anna and Sarah? Can Anna live HEA with her mate knowing he had a child with her cousin, even though it was before they met? Can they defeat the danger that seems to have followed Anna to her loved ones?
One-click now to find out what happens when two people find the love they've always searched for, even though the journey to get there won't be easy.
I have to honestly admit that, while I love this author, I really would've preferred that the hero, Todd, have not had a child with Sarah, Soren's mate. (The situation is explained in Soren and Sarah's book, Redemption.) In my reading I prefer the hero with the heroine and don't care for past lovers, etc. to be a part of the story. With that being said, I do feel that this author was able to make this situation work. While it's still not an ideal situation in a book for me, she was able to explain why and how it happened, as to almost absolve the participants for their part in it because their coming together was almost magical and Todd was more of a conduit for two mates to be with one another if even for that one night. You'll see what I mean upon reading the previous stories. This truly is a great series and I am anxiously awaiting the next release in it.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
I probably say this about every book in this series but I'm pretty sure this is my favorite. The author always finds a way to tug at the readers heart strings while also giving them plenty of action and adventure. Simon and Sorens cousin, Todd was presumed dead after a vicious attack. Sarah's cousin Anna decides to come for a visit and arrives at the same time as Todd. Anna and Todd are drawn together immediately. But a possibly familiar and dangerous person is lurking in the streets.
(I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book)
The devastation brought about by the crazed, radical purist group continues to change the lives of those couples that they target. Obsessed with keeping the shifter species pure and not crossed through the love of people who happen to shift into different species, they have killed many, burned down homes and destroyed lives. Anna has no idea of why her cousin’s home was burned down, why her cousin is claimed to be dead – because she’s not. The body found in the burned out building is not Sarah but someone else. Yet no one will believe her. During her conversations with officials she learns of an injured bear that was found near the burned ruins. She’s drawn to check out the bear, as it’s a connection with Sarah as they each held a deep love for all creatures. For some odd reason she stays near the obviously dying bear, talking to it, soothing his pain and holding out hope that it will survive. The odd thing is that the bear almost seems to look at her with human eyes, the brightest blue she’s ever seen… but that’s a figment of her imagination.
Anna has been told of a possible sighting of one of Sarah’s friends in Arizona – it’s a long shot, but again fate is pushing her to go check it out. Going on instinct alone, Anna will head out to find her cousin – not realizing that there is someone watching her very closely.
Todd doesn’t remember much right now, pain is all he’s experiencing. His bear is badly hurt and close to death. The sweet voice in his head keeps telling him to live, to fight, to be there for her. When the human comes in and sits near his cage he is filled with a sense of hope and strength. And with her help he can escape in order to find… something. He’s being pulled in a direction, he doesn’t really know why but now he’s going on his bear’s instincts now, and hopefully that will lead them home.
Salvation is an intense story that continues the tensions of this series. Todd and Anna are a good match, I liked them almost from the first words about them. Todd is so wounded by so many things. He’s broken, but around his mate he’s come alive again – in spite of deep heartache. While it’s been said that you could read this story as a stand alone – I believe that if you haven’t followed the series you at least need to have read Redemption. These two stories tie in so tightly that you will miss nuances if Salvation is your first introduction to these couples. As always, in my opinion.
The action scenes are intense, and while the threat may have been lessened it is far from over for our couples. It’s funny how fate can step in and change everything on the turn of a dime. Look for a few surprises in this one. Now I’m off to pick up the next story in the series. If you love Shifter Romance then this story and this series should be on your reading list. Likable couples, intense action, sexy times and interesting secondary characters that eventually get their own stories told. A winning combination.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I have read all of the books before this one in this fantastic series and every time I start a new book by this talented author I worry a little that it won't be as good as the last one. Well Anna Lowe did not disappoint with this one! The stories in the Reckless Desires series just keep on getting better, this book has everything, love, excitement, drama, danger, sadness and some very hot sex!
There were places in the story when I cried and had to take a break from reading, Anna's writing is just so good the emotions she can get across in a few words - well I won't belabour the point. she is a fantastic writer in my opinion. The drama and danger caused by the Blue Bloods strikes a cord with me when I watch the news. I know shifters aren't real don't worry, no what I mean is hatred and bigotry towards people/things which are different.
I loved the characters their depth and the way they all interact with each other, Anna and Todd's story had some twists due to misunderstandings but the love and the chemistry between them was lovely and the path to their HEA was really good. I for one wonder what Ms Lowe will come up with next.
I read an ARC of this book and after reading it I voluntarily decided to write a review. All opinions stated are my own and I was not recompensed in any way.
A heartbreaking story that tugs at your heartstrings and leaves a lump in your throat. Ms Lowe definitely knows how to write outstanding books that keep you intruiged until the very last page. These characters had their HEA, even though Ms Lowe's inspiration behind this book was of a tragic nature.
Todd was believed to be killed by the Blue Bloods who crave purity within all shifters. He is near deaths door when he hears an angel's voice urging him not to give up. He survives and fate pulls him to Arizona where a shocking revelation awaits him.
Anna believes her cousin is still alive even though all the evidence points toward Sarah being dead. Anna gets a lead that takes her to Arizona where she finds her cousin (alive), as well as a little more than what she bargained for.
Amidst heart-wrenching circumstances, they will have to battle the hateful and malicious pack of wolves that want to eradicate the so-called "impure" shifters.
This was a heartfelt story with a surprising answer to all their heartache. Loved the book despite all the tears it brought!
I was gifted a free copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave an honest review.
Salvation: Reckless Desires Blue Moon Saloon Book 4
Bear shifter Todd Voss and human Anna Boone have unknowingly crossed paths in the past. Fate has a way of making sure it happens again on purpose this time around. Can they find love and Salvation in each other’s arms?
I really looked forward to Anna Boone and Todd Voss' story and wasn't disappointed. Their poignant journey gave way to second chances and life coming full circle. This truly was an emotional journey, filled with spice too! Anna’s inner strength and past fears are tested.
Todd is Simon and Soren’s cousin and has returned from the dead and finally made himself back to his family but when he gets there he finds out Soren’s mate is alive and there back together but also she had his baby. But through all the craziness he meets his guiding angel Anna who happens to be Sarah’s cousin. It gets all crazy complicated with who’s who’s but OMG it such a great story. You can not beat the amazing writing like Anna Lowe but also we have choice of narrator like Kelsey Osborne. With other shifter writers at this point might not be fresh and exciting but Anna Lowe does not disappoint
Salvation: The Alpha Bears Forbidden Love (Blue Moon Saloon Book 4) by Anna Lowe. Anna won't believe her cousin Sarah is dead. She heard that a bear, found outside her cousins house was in the Wildlife Rescue Centre. Todd, Sorens cousin is the bear, badly injured, he's just about given up when a beautiful women talks to him and brings him back from the bear death and helps him escape. When Todd and Anna arrive at the Blue Moon Saloon sparks start to fly. But something evil has followed Anna.
Now we get More characters popping out of nowhere. A cousin we knew nothing about in the previous book appears, and she's supposed to be super close (twin-like close) to the protagonist of that book. Yet there's no mention of her then. And Todd is alive now, without any explanation of how he survived. He's just in the Shelter, dying. Why didn't the fanatic Blue Bloods make sure he was dead? Toss him into the fire. And the bad guy, how did he know anyone had survived? He wasn't there. No explanation for that either.
Salvation was almost like serendipity for Anna and Troy. Troy had already given so much of himself and then found more heartache when he reached Blue Moon. I felt for Troy and the misery he kept inside so that everyone else could be happy. Anna is drawn to the clan/pack without knowing anything. It was lighthearted how she kept being drawn to Troy and yet faced having to go back home. I was happy in the end that together, they were able to create a new home.
This story is totally engrossing! Todd is such a sympathetic character: scarred, noble, and completely unaware of what a worthwhile alpha he is. Anna is a perfect portrait of what the author excels at: kick@$$ heroines whose greatest strengths are their hearts. The storyline is beautifully evocative and, although more detail is given to Todd's trials, Anna's journey is enough to inspire tears for her HEA. I absolutely LOVED this one!!!
Anna and Todd are two lost souls both with tragic pasts and the secrets that go with those pasts. How will they come ❤together ❤. Anna Lowe captures her readers from the beginning. I love the way her characters come to life. I never start one of her books that I'm not caught up in the page turning from the start.
THE WOUNDED BEAR IN THE RESCUE CENTER Lovely sweet tale of love, fate and kinship. But not without it's share of angst and self discovery. Todd's pride and body has taken a battering, will he survive the night. Anna is fighting to believe her kin haven't all died and then there's that creepy man she keeps running into. Recommended read.🤓
It's good to know there are good people who do good not for the rewards of their deeds, not just out of duty, but simply because they know it is the right thing to do. Even if they get the short end of the stick and struggle in life. Fate tested him and deemed him worthy.
Anna and Todd had gone through so much.Every time they thought things were getting back to normal the Blue Bloods came back.Anna and Todd had to fight f or their lives.Grab the book and find out what happened.
The long awaited continuation of the series has finally arrived and I couldn’t be happier. Love, love, love this series of wonderful shifters. So beautifully written and narration is the perfect match. Now I must wait for more!
Love these books. There is a lot of adventure and plenty of excitement, along with some love and joy. Things don't always go right, but hopefully the end will.
This was a sweet story finding true love in whatever form it comes in. I loved Todd for his strength of character and depth of feeling. The author wrote this alpha bear with feeling.
