It opened well and initially I found it quite enthralling. Then as it became "Bond Like" with increasingly unbelievable twists in the plot, and some glaring inconsistencies. (For example how did Luke reveal his phone pass code as a result of torture when his screams as he was tortured where sent using his phone to his girlfriend? ) the plot began to fall apart.

Is this perhaps a book of two sections? The first carefully and descriptively written with a rich use of language a credit to the author and his precise journalistic skills. The second hurried to meet a deadline, rather rushed, erratic and unsatisfactory.

All in all not good

Good suspenseful beach read, can imagine this being made into a film, with a British Tom Cruise in lead role, but that's just me!

This book grew on me. Concerned it may be too gruesome but coped with it. Good story that maintained suspense.

This fast paced action book was quite enjoyable, and while the story line was a bit on the unbelievable and somewhat predictable side, it does make for a great holiday book, as you can read through it quite quickly and it’s quite easy to keep up.

I would say that the author needs to work on how to put acronyms into the story a bit better, as the acronyms were introduced as just that, before one of the characters inevitably asked “remind me what that is”, or words to that effect, and it quickly became tiresome.

I enjoyed the beginning of book but for me was far fetched, the characters bland & I couldn't identify with them at all & in fact found the 2 main characters (Luke & Elise v. annoying). You knew well in advance Luke would save the day, the country & the world .......

Really loved this book great fast paced thriller that I happily picked up at any moment I could to finish it. Really liked the Luke character looking forward you reading the next book that follows on from this story. Think it would make a great film.
