Once upon a time, a man named Jackson took his faithful dog for a walk in the deep, dark woods. Under the light of the moon, he encounters a wolf with piercing green eyes. The wolf shows up again and again, drawing nearer and nearer to Jackson and his home. Something in Jackson doesn’t mind, however. Then, one night, a strange, handsome man strolls out of the woods and into Jackson’s life. What is the connection between the wolf and the man? Find out in EMERALD ENCOUNTER, a lyrical, spellbinding fairytale from the creative minds of Chance Christopher and Bella Liddell.
This could have easily have been a four-star story but for it's length. It's just getting good when it's inexplicably over. Where does it go from the abrupt ending? There was no indication that it was a serial or multi-part story. However, what is here is very, very hot. There is one main scene with a bit of build up and a tiny aftermath. That one scene though.... The opening language was a little fairytale-like but that fades away and things are contemporary. This short piece has definitely got me interested in this pair's other work. Authors, please, please rewrite this as a longer piece or at the least a serial!
