I am rating this book a 10! My, my, my church folks and their drama is off the chain. Love these characters. I know them from reading some of Lutishia Lovely's other books. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Her books are a must read. You'll laugh, get angry, be inspired and probably know people who remind you of these characters.

(ARC) The Hallelujah series just keeps getting better. Lutishia Lovely continues to "WOW" me with her stories.
In, A Date With Destiny, Nathaniel"Nate" and Destiny are celebrating their first year anniversary as pastor and First Lady of their new church, Divine Grace Community Center. They have been through the their fair share of drama and believe it's all behind them. But then old enemies resurface and a deacons flirtations goes to far.
I think this is one of my favorite books in the series but of course I really like Nate. So many different things happen in this book. Some you kind of predict and some that catches you off guard with the outcome. This book will have you shouting and praising God by the end.
I highly recommend the entire series. You will definitely not be disappointed.

This book was a joy to read. I've read the entire Hellelujah Series. I appreciate Destiny's & Nate's character growth and development in this book. My goodness, the maturity ... I must admit, that I was not a fan of Nate Thicke's character in Reverend Feelgood at all. But God sure did use him and Destiny. I, am however, a little confused, because at the end of Divine Intervention, Princess had an ultrasound that determined that she was pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl). In this book, hers and Kelvin's daughter Kiara is mentioned, but there is no mention of a twin son. Or did I miss something? And Lord have mercy on poor Janet and that Krazy (with K) azz husband of hers.

I really would love to see Tai's character in a loving relationship with a real KING in the next installment. Besides, it is way past time for that whorish ex-husband to get a good dose of his own medicine. I know, it's just a fictitious tale, but all of the characters seem so real to me. So yes, I truly want to see King Brook get his comeuppance.

Anyway, this was an enjoyable read ... there were some typos and I do believe a missing word here and there, but overall, a good book.

I said I am done with this series, not going to read anymore from this series but yeah, I lied. AND I am so glad I read this book. The Lovely one showed out with this one. For those that have not been following the Hallelujah Series "A Date With Destiny" was still easy to understand. For those following, this book is a treat. I really enjoy that the scandal (of course) was an intricate one. We got to catch up on what everyone else is doing. Good Job LL.

Book 9 of the Hallelujah series finds Pastor Nate and First Lady Destiny Thicke back in the United States after a five year hiatus in Turks and Caicos...as a result of a sex scandal. Their new church in Las Vegas, comes with its own drama, by the way of the Miller brothers.

24 year old Destiny is trying to find balance between motherhood, counseling women, preparing for a speaking engagement and being a wife to her 36 year old reformed womanizing husband. An old friend turned enemy, returns on the scene and intends to stir up the pot just a little bit.

Nate is busy building his new congregation, loving on his wife and seeking counsel from his elders. Unbeknownst to him, there is an enemy lurking in the shadows, ready to take everything away from him.

Destiny’s best friend Princess, is dealing with the divorce of her parents, her father’s remarriage to a woman her age, being a basketball wife, and helping her husband with the rearing of his son...by a woman she despises.

It was good to catch up with the characters in this series by @lutishia_lovely, but I found a few errors. I would have to give this one💎💎💎💎.

I really enjoyed this one and I guess I will talk about Destiny who was also married to Nate.
Destiny was abducted, assaulted and withstood an attempted rape. Her friend Melody at least she thought she was her friend, slept with her husband.
But this so called friend was the same one who knew her attacker and contacted the police. God used the very one who'd helped ruin her life to help save her life.
But from this coincidence she learned three important things:
1. Forgive everybody
2. Never try to figure out God because you can't.
3. No matter what it looks like God's plan is perfect. Always

I just reread the entire series back to back and this book is an absolute mess. Prior to this book Kelvin jr was not Kelvin's son and in this book Kelvin Jr is now Kelly and is Kelvin's son. More inconsistencies with King. It just shows that the writer either didn't do her research or did not think her readers were intelligent enough to pick up on it. When I first read it I gave it 5 stars but now I realized I wrong.

I give this book 3.5 Stars. It was good. It had several grammatical errors. This book dealt with stories of Destiny and Princess. Forgiveness and being a lady of God were the themes of this book. Good continuation of this series.

I think this may be the last book in the Hallelujah Series, but it was well worth the wait. Church anttics, crazy people, and drama all in 320 pages. My favorite book from the series is all of them. Lutishia gave us awesome stories from book 1 to 9. Wondering where the next series is going to take us.

Often in life we think that we have everything figured out, what we want to do in life, how it will be done and how long it will take us to accomplish those goals. But we have to remember that what we want for ourselves might not be in the divine plan for our lives. Sometimes you have to just let it play out to see where your successes will land and also sometimes your failures. These things are what makes us human and will get us on the right path in this thing we call life.

Pastor Nate Thicke and his beautiful wife Destiny Noble Thicke are loving their current life. They had to learn the hard way that life has a crazy way of making you do what you are supposed to do, even when you think that you are going about it the right way already. The age difference between Nate and Destiny was never in issue for them because love doesn't recognize age but when you have outside forces testing your faith from every direction you need all the wisdom that you can get.

Ron Miller and his wife Janet are faithful members of Divine Grace, the church that Pastor Thicke is presiding over. They have been with the church long before the Thicke family got there but as far as Deacon Miller is concerned, nothing is going to change just because a new leader of the flock has arrived.

A Date With Destiny is part of the Hallelujah Series. It has the same characters as the Hallelujah Love Series but this seems to be starting a new chapter and that means the direction is shifting. I enjoyed reading this book because it is an easy read. Once you sit down and start reading it is hard to stop. The characters are so well put together that reading it is almost like listening to an audio because you can hear everything that is spoken and their situations are so real you can feel it. Once again, kudos to Lutishia Lovely for bringing us yet another #1 novel!

A Date With Destiny is due to release on December 10, 2015 so make sure that you pre-order and if you haven't read the Hallelujah Love series, you might want to get a move on it! You can pre-order from Amazon.com (Kindle edition only).

A Date with Destiny – Lutishia Lovely

I really enjoyed this book. I give it 5 stars. I have enjoyed all of this authors' other books and this one did not disappoint.

Nate, the pastor, and Destiny, his loving wife are trying to live the Christian life the right way but trouble always come knocking at your door. Their pastoral clan is standing behind them but there's always someone in sheep's clothing near by.

This story is about dysfunctional families, repentance, forgiveness, sexual abuse, bullying, spousal abuse, alcoholism, and dishonesty.

The characters were realistic and I could relate to some of them. I loved most of the characters but I felt sorrow and hurt for Janice. The story line was good and went smoothly.

There were a lot of twist and turns in the story. It was a real page turner for me. The author had me on an emotional roller coaster- one minute anxious and the next minute ready to fight. I really enjoyed the ride though. I loved how all the couples in the story were Christian friends who helped and loved each other.

I love how the author incorporated the title “ A Date with Destiny' into the story line and I was inspired by the lyrics to the song. Destiny's testimony was right on point and I loved it, sister to sister. I could only read on my PC so I would rush home evry night so I could read. I read past my bedtime to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Great read.
This book was provided by the author for an honest review.

Oh how I missed the Hallelujah series! Way to come back, Lovely! My only complaint is that it was so long since Reverend Feel Good, that I didn't remember a lot of what happened. Once my memory was jogged, I was back into the swing of things. Just as Pastor Nate Thicke and his wife, Destiny are thrust back into the limelight, the drama piles on. With new and old enemies surfacing to tear apart what they are building, Destiny ends up having to literally fight for her life. The story is full of suspense and drama. It sparks good debate about what a First Lady has to endure, as well as the power of forgiveness. Of course the other characters in the series make an appearance, and readers get to catch up with Princess and her family as well. Lovely brought the series back with style. I am anxious for the next one.

I can say I was upset that this book was about Destiny and not King and so I was like let me just read this lol. I was truly changed after the first page even without me going back and reading the other books memories of the what the characters had been through flooded my mind. This book was so good. You could predict some of what was going to happen but most of it was a surprise. This book showed how to love, forgive and keep an open line of communication in your relationship and how important that is. This book was a page turner and now I am mad that I am done with it and have to wait until the next one comes out :(

This book was an enjoyable read. I bought the electronic version. I really appreciate how both Nate's & Destiny's characters grew and matured over the few years that they've been married and how their love for each other and family just seems to have grown that much more.

Lawd, Janet and that 'krazy azz' husband of hers ... SMH. He put the K in krazy, for real. What a mess. I have truly enjoyed the entire Hallelujah Series, however, there needs to be one more book written because I would love to see Tai in a loving, and committed relationship with a REAL King who adores her. And I'd also love to see that whorish ex-husband of hers get his just desserts as well.

Nathaniel (Nate) and Destiny Thicke left town disgraced by scandal in the church, but they're back and while God have forgiven them there are some others that have it out for this man and woman of God. Nate has been given a new job as a pastor that brings them back from the island they've fled to, but what lies ahead of them as they try to do God's work will leave you speechless. I have read all of the books in the series and this one is just as good as all the others. There's suspense, laughter and most of all love. You will not be disappointed with this read.

The anticipated arrival of a Date With Destiny arrived and I read it on my kindle.. I could not wait for the book..
I read it in 8 hours and would not put it down. It was so captivating.. That Zuri - I mean Lutishia has done it again.
She could write a whole book on the Deacon alone. I didn't know that Pastor and First Ladies could get it in so scandalous. I'm happy for the church but there will be many changes. I loved the conference. The book was a smashing hit. Riveting, exciting and sexy.

Luthisia Lovely has done it again with more church drama. She has brought back the Thicke's from a previous novel, Reverend Feelgood. Nate and Destiny have returned to the states and are the first family of a church in Las Vegas. However there are some members and leaders who do not like the "new"leadership. They want to continue their shenanigans, but Pastor Nate is not having it. This was another great read from Lutishia Lovely.

I've read all of Lutishia Lovely's books. I am a huge fan. I enjoyed this book. There was a lot of suspense that I couldn't wait to get to the end, but also had that feeling of not wanting it to end. The only reason why I gave this book four stars was because of the typos. I was very surprised at home many it was, but aside from that, great book!

Destiny !!!!!!

Lutishia Lovely has done it again,A date with Destiny is a five star read. I lived the fact that she bought in some of the other characters from the Hallelujah Series. This installment of the series bought drama, drama, and more drama, it also bought laughs and cries. I cannot wait for the next one.

Great Job

I'm not surprised that this was such a great story. I'm also not surprised at a major theme in the story. When you get that still, small voice of the Holy Spirit warning you, you might want to listen. I'm sure a lot of us would not be in some of the situations we find ourselves in

I liked the book. I wish it ended differently. I got so used to the exploding ending of the book, I was expecting something else. It ended too calmly.

Keep up the good work. Please make more audio books. I enjoy listening after work to relieve the stress of the day.
