Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
There's been a few side stories so I'm glad we are finally interacting with the main human empire once more . Once again, it was an interesting perspective from an outsider looking in. We know the insides like, but this story is from the perspective of somebody who doesn't know. They're learning, and they're being brought into the fold, which made this a Good read as we start getting back to the main human empire. Looking forward to more Star Force action in the next book.
The first book kept me interested. This one bored me. There was no frame of reference, no way of understanding what is happening. The main character is little more than a passenger throughout. Even the danger isn't precisely targeted; there is no specific peril for the principle characters. Weapons are named and used without any real understanding for physics, or even defined 'new' physics in this universe. More science fantasy than science fiction.
So exciting. By the by, all these reviews about the story moving this way or that, not continuous and all that crap. They need to shut it, the guy is writing an epic story line that I truly appreciate. So what if the trailblazers remind me of 90's hipsters (Which they pretty much are) this has been an amazing ride so far, thank you Aer-ki Jyr, you keep writing them I will gladly keep buying then reading them.
We continue to explore the Star Force Vi'kit'no'sat galaxy through the eyes of a fugitive in the war zone some 800 years after the Vi'kit'no'sat discover the humans.
