This was cute, fun and sweet but I only bought it because the blurb for the second one had me one clicking that and I had to read it in order. I did enjoy this one and for a novella there was a fair bit of story and the price was perfect for a few hours escapism, it just felt a little young but then they are college age so it's not like they aren't young.

I love this author's work! As soon as this was released I dropped everything and started to read. I wasn't disappointed. Amalie is a real live princess who defied her parents and came to America to study art. She balked at the idea of an arranged marriage but loved the idea of being independent in a place where nobody knew her true identity. Not even her sexy neighbor next door.
Jack had taken over the family business when his dad died. He owned a group of sporting goods stores that were proving to be quite successful. He did a lot of work from home, hating to put on a suit. He's just not that type of guy, although he'll do it if protocol demands so. Jack has been trying to get Amalie to go out with him but she keeps saying no. Truthfully, she doesn't see the point in getting involved. She's going to graduate in a month then she's due home to fulfill her duties as princess. The thing is, she keeps finding it more and more difficult to turn Jack down. He's hot, he has a good sense of humor, and he has no idea who she is, all points in his favor. When she starts spending time with him she also discovers he's a really good guy, someone she could easily fall for.
While this was a quick read, it was still everything I've come to look for in one of the author's books. Characters you can genuinely like and relate to, a simple plot that is always entertaining, and meaningful dialogue between the main characters. This one I recommend.

This was a cute, easy read. Amalie is a princess of a small country who came to America for college. She meets her hot neighbor Jack and starts to form a relationship with him, but is afraid that if she tells him she's a princess, he'll run away. They were good together and I like how he treated her well. There was some drama about her duties to her family and country and trying to make both worlds mesh. The narrator had a chipper voice that matched Amalie pretty well.

This is the first of a series featuring the Rothman royal family, rulers of a small Alpine country bordering Switzerland and France. Amalie is studying art in Minneapolis to the chagrin of her mother who wanted her daughter to follow the royal tradition of arranged marriages and had picked out a suitable partner. Still, Amelie feels the weight of her royal duties and isn’t sure for how long she can put her mother off. It doesn’t help that her sexy and kind and handsome (and did I mention sexy?) neighbour ,Jack keeps showing his interest. Even knowing she’ll be leaving in a few short weeks, Amalie finally accedes to his friendly request for a pizza dinner at his apartment and for a little while is able to let go of the pressure of being a princess in hiding. When their friendship moves forward, they agree it’ll just be a casual arrangement without strings. Sex with Jack is fun and exciting and Amalie knows she’s going to miss him terribly when she moves back home. She’s been keeping the secret of her true identity from him but it’s getting more and more difficult, especially with the paparazzi having finally noticed her. When Jack finds out the truth of her heritage, will he still be interested in a relationship? And will Amalie get to choose her own future?
What a fun story! While the main focus is on Amalie and her struggles to do what is right for her versus what is right for her family and kingdom, we also get an introduction to her siblings and parents who each have an important part to play in Amalie’s life. Jack runs a successful sporting goods company and is a hard working professional who generally leaves the office at work and takes things casually at home. Public situations aren’t his favorite but they are part of his job. Amalie believes that once he finds out who she is, the public expectations of her position will put him off entirely and she’ll lose his friendship and any chance at a more serious relationship. Their easy camaraderie is bound to change but in the end, the decisions that are made give proof to the fantasy that a royal and a commoner can have a happy ending. It’s a lighthearted read with some sexy scenes and I look forward to reading more in the series.

It was an ok story,
Jack is cute and I loved that he was older than Amalie. They start out as friends first but you can tell there is chemistry.
I didn’t like that she kept so much from him when he was always so open with her.
I like Amalie I think she is too scared to stand up for herself until Jack pointed out that she can’t live her life for someone else.
Not a big fan of her sister but her dad cracked me up.
I loved the narration.
I would continue with the series but I can’t see spending 3 credits on less than 4 hours each for the next 3 books.

This was about a "poor little rich princess" who wanted to lead a normal life. Cliched. Unfortunately, I didn't like the two main characters. I couldn't sympathize with Amalie. Jack, her love interest was alright but I didn't understand how / when did he fall in love with Amalie since they had known each other for not more than a month.
I do love reading books by Noelle Admas. They are always short but quite enjoyable. This just didn't work for me. I am more interested in Amalie's sister, Victoria's story. I am certainly intrigued by Edward Farmingham Channing IV and looking forward to reading about him and Victoria in the next book in the series.

This was ok. Didn't really do it for me. I preferred Jessica Hart's The Secret Princess with the same premise.
*Edit: Just realized Jack Watson cameo'd in Married By Contract first. He even mentions his neighbor whom he likes, but who isn't interested in him. Hah.

Really good book-highly recommended. It's a short story only 100 pages but Noelle makes reading it worth your while.
It's filled with different situations. You laugh, cry, get happy then sad. She keeps you engaged throughout the whole book. I read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. My only complaint which is why I gave it a 4 is because I wish it had more of an epilogue.
Congrats are still in order. Can't wait for your next book. Gina

This was a cute, quick read. Very easy to get through, but I wasn’t super hooked in by the characters; the conflict, while real, didn’t seem to have any real urgency. It was pretty apparent what was going to happen, and we arrived at the conclusion in a fairly unsurprising way. Still, a pleasant story.

This was a cute read. I enjoyed it. Be warned, this is a fluff book. There is no depth and the plot was glossed over. It really could have used a lot more development and description. However, the book was a great HEA short reads. Five stars for a light romantic read.

It's my understanding that he's a no pressure kind of guy yet he's pressuring her all the time:

“I know you won’t. It’s not the same thing.”, now, doesn't that stink of pressure?
He is literally telling her to choose but one could argue that it's not an ultimatum but a much needed push.
Had it's highs and lows (mostly lows). I'll give it another shot with Viktoria's book, though. I liked the last sentence the best.

Two people from two very different worlds fall in love and navigate through the ups and downs of learning their new roles. The plots isn't deep and the characters are fairly basic. There are a few scenes that are touching when the characters find their selves but otherwise, I find this book mediocre. A good quick read without a deep plot.

This is part of audible's audible escape, and I'm glad I didn't spend any additional money on it.
Bland characters, not much of a story, but a graphic sex scene to make up for the lack of content.
It wasn't even funny, so all in all, it is a good thing it's a short book.

Magical
A truly wonderful romance about a princess and the commoner she falls in love with. The author details the intricate complexities of such a relationship and you can feel your heart break and reknit as decisions are made and reformed. Truly magical, and almost as good as Cinderella.

This one was quite entertaining but also very sweet, even if at times the male character was being obnoxious. But the King (aka daddy dearest) was hilarious, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

This book was painfully boring - which is a first for me with Noelle Adams. She always writes great chemistry but this time the characters were very two dimensional. I didn't feel very invested in their journey.

A nicely written, feel good romance novella written in the 1st person. Perfect to read as a breather between those long and complicated books.
