When the lights go down and nighttime falls, where does the white cat go? Where does the monkey go? What about the camel, the stray dog, the seagull, and the brown bear? And what about the children?
This nighttime read-along picture book, perfect for a bedtime story, will delight young readers with it colored pencil-drawn illustrations and the repetitive, non-prose text that encourages them to read along as the story unfolds. It’s the perfect sleepy-time tale.
Text- To Text The book “Where Does the Brown Bear Go,” is a wonderful bedtime book of imaginary thoughts. It portrays some of the same entrancing ease as “Goodnight, Moon,” by Margaret Wise Brown. The subtleties of the characters in both books, are pleasing and comforting for children’s minds. As the children visualize the familiar surroundings in “Where Does the Brown Bear Go” and “Goodnight, Moon,” it shows similarity in the text and illustrations of both books. The peace and tranquility each book gives to children snuggling in their beds awaiting a dream filled night of happiness. Both books are on my favorites list for bedtime stories.

Where does the brown bear go?, is a relaxin bedtime story to read to a young child. The story first starts out with the question "where does the white cat go honey? Where does the white cat go?", As the story continues the same question is asked of where does the (animal) go?. Not until the middle of the book the reader is asked the question "Where does the brown bear go?". In the end of the story everyone makes it come to the little boys bed where you learn that there are his stuffed animals.
My commentary of this book is that it is a easy picture book to read to any young child for a bedtime story. The illustrations match the story and are bery entertaining to look at. The only thing i dont understand is the title of the book. This stories main focus isn't even about the bear but only a question asked like the other animals. Overall i would recommend this as an easy read bedtime story.
I'm not really sure if the author intended for the text to be a song, but I heard a song as I was reading the book, so I sang it. As a song, it works quite well. My six-year-old son was singing it long after I went downstairs.
The artwork is simple, but it works.
If I hadn't sung the book, I would have probably given it three stars, because the text is not especially exciting.
This sweet, easy read, is about a mother asking her son at bedtime where all the animals go at night. Every one of the animals ends up at home, which happens to be her sons bed and the animals she talks about are all his favorite stuffed animals.
