The Black Room: Door Two continues The Black Room Serials.
I have to say it again, I love serials. I like them because I can pick up a book whenever I want when I’m in that mood. I was in that smut mood and this series hit that mark.
If you enjoyed the first book, then you will continue to enjoy the second book. The second book mirrors a lot of the first book, but with a little extra kink.
Please note the genre of this book is erotica, so don’t be surprised if the entire book is steam.
The thing that I liked about this one is that the mysterious theme is carried on. What are the rooms? Who is HE? Who is everyone? I have so many theories going on in my head. I wouldn’t be surprised by the eighth book I’m told it was all a dream!
This one will push the boundaries a bit more and don’t blush too much, I have a feeling this is just the glimpse of much more to come.
I'm not entirely sure where to start with this book, but just to dig right in there and say that Door #2 is a porn film book form. It was that erotic, and I found it very dirty so much that it turned me on when I read the book, and it got me thinking about what it possibly would be like to partake in a threesome with two guys. This is a book that as readers read, their minds and bodies will be opened up sexually. I am still not 100% sure what the book is about as it was like the main female woke up naked with no recollection of the previous night to three stunning people in a room. One leaves to go to work, and the female is left with the two guys, and they watch a porno on TV and eventually end up having a full-blown threesome scene and then later the other female returns and another threesome strikes. Then near the final chapter, it seems like the females are part of a sex auction and then she wakes up in the room once again, and of course, the book ends, and we know that with the next book she will enter Door #3. This is not a book for the prudish, and if you don't want a sex-fueled frenzy of a book, then this is definitely not the read for you.
The Black Room: Door Two by Jasinda Wilder is part of a serial and definitely should be read in order. In comparison to Door One, Door Two goes much further, in an explicit sense, than the first installment. This part of the story explores menage--specifically, MFM and later MFF. The end of this installment turns dark rather abruptly.
As with Door One, it's difficult for the reader to parse what's going on. Door Two picks right up where Door One left off, but the woman (we still don't know her name or who she is) goes through the second door in The Black Room, which leads to a very different type of sexual encounter.
Whereas the first door led to one man, door number two leads to two men and a woman, which leads to a menage (MFM) and later a separate menage (MFF). The second menage scene didn't strike me as quite as meaningful for the woman as the first. It just seemed like something she goes along with, rather than chooses for herself. That's not to say that she doesn't enjoy the experience, but it felt a little unconvincing to me.
As I mentioned, the ending of this installment is quite dark, which I wasn't expecting and which makes me a bit leery going into reading Door Three. However, it's a cliffhanger and now I'm kind of committed to the story at this point, so I'm wondering where it will go from here.
I thought I was going to feel that things got a little clearer after book two but no....... Is it a dream? Is she reliving her past life's? Is it a TV show? I don't know but I trust this author will lead us right, maybe the answer comes in the last book or maybe she just wants us to live in the moment with the characters. One thing I know is that she has a way of writing the love scenes that makes your heart twist and have your thighs clench. I keep reading...........
So much detail....!!! This may or may not have happened to someone I know...I may have been reading while at work on my lunch....and had a coworker ask me if I was okay... apparently I was a bit flushed! OMG how can door two be even better than door one?!?! I can't get enough! Jasinda Wilder you are one hell of a writer!
Somewhere unbelievable! I am excited about the underlying plot here. At first I was thinking these stories were like plain ole erotica. (And wow does this book provide A LOT of that) however, I am now seeing something of a twisted storyline. I am definitely on board with door 3!
I received an ARC for an honest review of this work. Just wow, I have to say alluringly descriptive. They definitely did justice to contemporary erotic romance. Door 2 takes you on a roller coaster ride of hot fantasies. You'll enjoy the trip.
OhMaGawd! I am hooked!! Can't stop with just the first book. I need to know what is happening. Luckily Jasinda released all the books at the same time!
I don't know what is happening but the book is highly captivating.
This one was a little much, but I loved the ending which was the beginning to door three. While reading Door Two, I wasn't sure if I would continue this series.
“Once you enter, anything goes. No fantasy--however dark and dirty and depraved it may be--is forbidden. You have no past, no inhibitions, no morals...and no memory. All you have to cling to is the memory of a scorching touch, a searing kiss, the wet slide of skin on skin, and the heat of breath across your flesh. Step forward... Turn the knob... Step through into THE BLACK ROOM.” (Book #1)
“Silence. Perfect, utter silence. A drowning quiet. A longing, deep and unfulfilled, soul-deep, a bone-deep need for something I cannot have; the first sensation. Pang of loss, gnaw of guilt, acid bite of shame, burning heat of lust, a deep delicious soreness in all the right places—all of these sensations roil and coil and mingle together, wedded; the second sensation. I open my eyes; the third sensation. I’m in the room of black doors.” (Book #2)
The Black Room Series By Jasinda Wilder and Jade London kept me enthralled from beginning to end. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this series, but the synopsis intrigued me so much that I went on a one-clicking frenzy and snapped up the entire series to devour- and devour them I did. The books are all quite short, quick and easy reads. But each one packs a punch, keeping you guessing, and completely engrossed by the story. I had so many questions right from the outset. There is a real mysteriousness to the whole story that had me trying to guess where the it was leading, and entirely unsure of the outcome. Each book adds another layer to this complex and intriguing story- there are so many facets, which when layered on top of one another begin to build a truly fascinating story. From book one where we are really not sure where we are, how we got there, or what the heck is happening, the black room, all the doors, all the discoveries, and encounters, book after book, door after door, layer upon layer- things are never quite as they appear- and they way this series/story is pieced together, and the ‘revelation’ at the end was really clever! This book/series is HOT, erotic, dark, delicious, and unputdownable. I read the entire series back to back- and enjoyed every second. This is definitely a story/series I won’t soon forget. It’s one I can see myself revisiting again in the future. Brilliant!
With this “storyline”, I am enjoying that the books were released as serials. An amazing thing the author was able to convey in DOOR TWO was intimacy. There’s one scene in particular that I shed a few tears. Even though we still know next to nothing about who our heroine is or WTF is going on, the reader can feel the connection between her and her man. I did like that this one was a bit longer and you get more than a glimpse of what’s up next in DOOR THREE.
So much happens behind this door. I can't stop thinking about the man behind door number 1 but I really liked man 2. I love this mystery and familiar sense she has to these men. I am ready for ride home with door number 3. Take me to the mountains. Take me home good sir. Lets find out what you are working with.
I am definitely glad I kept reading past door one! I liked this one much better! This one was hot and had much more verbal interaction between the main characters. I could definitely see more of a connection between them. This one was definitely HOT and had MF, MMF, and MFF scenes! Will definitely be continuing on to door 3.
The Black Room: Door Two was another great book by Jasinda Wilder and Jade London. The Black Room is about people's deepest fantasies being behind eight doors and this book didn't disappoint. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
As with most of Jasinda's Wilder's books there is a heavy amount of detailed sexual acts. Door 2, delves in to double partners. Two men one woman, Two women one man. It has a curious end that gave a twist I wasn't expecting. I can't say to much more without spoiling it.
Than Door One. Jasinda is writing a series of highly erotic episodes. Each one more salacious than the last. Her writing isn't a cheap thrill. It's a literary A+ grade of character, location and plot description. It is a "you are there" reading moment.
