The problem with falling in love with a member of an insanely private species is that it just might take you the best part of a five year mission to work out that the feelings are requited. And then you might discover that he’s already decided that the two of you can never be together.
And what are you supposed to do if he won’t tell you why?
A very slow romance but definitely worth the time! A lovely fan fiction that perfectly captures the essence of the original series and fills the gaps of the canon TV series and movies.
Quite criminal this isn’t published. It deserves an ISBN.
This fan fiction should really be a published Star Trek book except the Star Trek franchise is too cowardly to support even non canonical Spirk.
This book really read like the published FF we see from Star Trek books. And to be fair, the only difference from unpublished ff and the Star Trek books is that the Star Trek books are published. At the end of the day it’s all fan fiction.
Somehow Spice managed to keep all our beloved characters in character while telling a romantic story about two star crossed lovers. It also did not shy away from the science fiction side of Star Trek, too.
Overall it was quite a good read, something worthy of publication. Maybe one day.
listen,,, this was a monster ™ to read and bear until the last minute all of the suffering it brought me..... @Spock just,, whyy. Eimeo is a great writer and her writing is what mostly kept me going. I did think of giving it up halfway through because....... if you want a very very very slow build romance?? lots of denial and Spock being (surprise, surprise) irrational? you got it all here. still worth it tbh
