This is a difficult review to write. Mainly because I'm still an emotional wreck from reading the book.
I followed Sebastian and Belle's journey in the last book and fell so hard for these people that waiting for this second book was uncomfortable and agonizing.
There is so much realistic soul in these characters it's insane. Like before, EVEN secondary characters are brimming with spirit! They all have faces, purpose and life!
This book is so extraordinarily written there's not a single page worth the risk of skimming. It is pure, 100% entertainment!
Sebastian Kane stole my heart on the first line of the first book, but he carried it in his back pocket to the last page of the second. This is a REAL man, with real issues, real flaws and real plights. He is so perfectly imperfect and demands love even in his rages of difficulty! He is a strong and sexy Alpha with a bed skill that will ruin you for living men and just might rival any book boyfriends in your past or future. Under the exterior of gruff control, Sebastian is a lion when it comes to protecting his mate and a true knight of valor! I love a complicated man, and Sebastian's complications are what keep those pages turning.
As for Belle. It's hard for me to explain how much I admired Belle. Her impeccable balance of submission and sass make her my role model for life. So strong, so independent, so beautiful. She struggles with ALL the insecurities of women which made me adore her! Yes we all desire to be confident but the honest truth is confidence is a struggle. Her demonstration of self acceptance even in the face of ridicule won her a cheerleaders dance from me. Her ability to also balance being what Sebastian needs vs. what he wants.... ANOTHER MAJOR APPLAUSE. Because she never ONCE loses herself or her integrity throughout the books. She is FANTASTIC.
I read this book in a day. I literally was unable to function without knowing the end and now that it's over I feel so hollow. I love this author she is a talented woman of amazing skill that wrote a book worthy of the big screen!
Prepare yourself for all the things a book should do, which is steal your heart, and never return it whole.

Unexpected Submissive (book 2) by G.J. Cox is a deliciously hot read. But that's not all. There's danger, suspense, and intrigue brilliantly wrapped into this exciting tale. Readers will once again be swept off their feet into the romance of two amazing characters. Their love just began to express itself when trouble heads their way...threats from an insane stalker. Fear, worry, and stress soon head to the couple's way. No way of tracking the evil man down. Then, the worst happens. Belle is taking from her Dom. That's when the danger hits off the charts. The suspense fo what happens next will keep readers turning the pages in a rush. I loved this writer's talent. Her words held me hostage in her world of fiction. The emotional journey is one that felt so real. I thought I was Belle. The thoughts, feelings, and actions of the characters felt like they were my own. My heart raced...the intrigue killed me. Readers will not be able to get enough of G.J. Cox's characters. Their story is well-told. Masterfully woven elements that bait, hook, and capture readers into the book. Unexpected Submissive is sexy, addictive, and a definite must read for all. I wanted to cry, to scream, and to relive the story all over again once I finished it. Wow! Absolutely, perfect in every way. Carried enough of everything to keep me lured. Overall, I highly recommend this romance to readers everywhere.
