Hands On #2

Body Contact

Rate this book
Body Contact is the second of a three-part erotic series from New York Times and USA best-selling author Cathryn Fox.

Asking pro football player Jack Rider to teach me everything he knows about sex might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I'm not so sure I can handle a guy like him. I thought he'd just straight up do me, ridding me of my pesky virginity sooner rather than later. But no, he had his own ideas about bringing me up to speed on sex. His two weeks of slow seduction might just be the death of me, but since he's the one in charge, I have to play the game his way. Not that I'm not enjoying it. I am. Who wouldn't, right? I guess I just can't help but wonder how I'll ever let another man touch me after him.

This is the second of a three-part series full of mind-blowing sex, featuring a dirty-mouthed football player who knows the score and an inexperienced therapist who needs to learn it. BODY CONTACT is sure to leave readers begging for more. The next installment comes September 2016.

"I want you so hot and needy that by the time I take you, you'll do anything for it... I want you to be fully aware that it's me who's taking you."

➦This is a second part of the fun and sexy Hands On serial. It's a very short and steamy read in which Danielle, the heroine, has only two weeks to get some hands on experience from Jack so she can confidently teach a sex therapy course.

❤In this part Danielle and Jack make further explorations of their bodies without ever doing the deed. Their relationship also develops on a deeper level and they actually are on the path to becoming friends. We all know where this is heading, they will have to let go at the end of two weeks, will they be able to?

➦One thing that, in my opinion, should NOT have been in the book is a trip to the BDSM club. You have a virgin on your hands, so what do you do? Well take her to a BDSM club, of course! *Eye roll* Granted they only went there to look and see if Danielle would be into any of the kinks. Personally, I think she should first at least have sex and then worry about the kinks, but what do I know. lol

➦Overall, I have found this to be a very enjoyable read and I am looking forward to finding out how it all ends. :)

Body Contact is book two in the Hands On series by Cathryn Fox. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, and by Cathryn Fox.

Hands On Cathryn Fox:

Danielle can’t believe Jack Rider agreed to teach her about sex so she could teach the summer class on sex therapy. She needs the money and it would put her one step closer to her dream of opening a family therapy clinic. She and Jack are getting more and more comfortable with each other but Danielle has to keep reminding herself that this is just for two weeks. She can’t let herself fall for Jack and end up with a broken heart when it’s time to say good-bye.

Jack loves the time he is spending with Danielle and finds himself looking forward to their time together more and more. He is definitely benefiting from their lessons as well, especially the one where he teaches Danielle to give him pleasure! He has to stay focused on healing from his injury, though. He needs to stay focused on returning to the field to play football. That’s more important than anything else, isn’t it?

.:

“Everything about her seduced his senses and made him forget he wanted to take things slow.”

Danielle senses that Jack needs help dealing with the possibility that his future might not include professional football and tries to help him deal with that fact without him realizing that she was actually helping him. And she does something very special for Jack to help him make the adjustment.

These two together are just so sweet. The bonds are obviously strengthening as they begin to fall for each other. But more than that, the lessons that Jack is giving Danielle are hot, hot, hot! Danielle is most definitely a quick study and completely enjoys her lessons. I have said this many times but it is worth repeating that I love these student, teacher scenarios.

hotness:

Jack is teaching Danielle at his own pace, making sure she is comfortable with everything before the biggest lesson of all. I can’t wait for the final book in this trilogy, Full Exposure, when these two will move on to the main lesson. But what will happen when their two weeks are up? Will they say good-bye? Will Jack go back to his football team? There is so much to come and I can’t wait to tell you about it!

3.5 stars!

In the second book, we're going more into the Education of Danielle Lang. This book is just as steamy as the first one, and wow. Jack has such a dirty mouth!

As the title suggests, there is more body contact between Danielle and Jack. When Jack promised Danielle he’ll teach her everything there was to know about sex, he wasn’t kidding. What a generous man. Seriously. Danielle is a lucky woman to have Jack.

In this book, we meet Jack’s family––his parents, and two equally handsome older brothers, Sam and Luke. I don’t know about you, but I want a book about Jack’s brothers! I love the dynamic between Jack and his family; especially with his brothers. It’s so genuine and warm and ahhhh! Adorable!

As Jack and Danielle’s physical connection strengthens, so does their emotional attachment. Jack knows this is just a two-week fling, and he knows he’ll eventually leave to go back to Seattle, but he can’t help but feel so much for the kind, considerate, and wonderful woman.

Since it’s just the second book, you’re all correct to assume that the deed has not yet been done. No cherries have been popped in the making of this installment. Not yet, at least.

Danielle is definitely more forward than in the first book. She’s not as innocent and virginal, and she’s down to anything Jack introduces to her.

I look forward to reading the finale and to see a happy ending hopefully. And give me more of Sam and Luke!

Body Contact is the second chapter of the HANDS ON series (third and final part is out in September.)

description

In this installment Danielle delves deeper into her sexual education with the help of the sexy-as-f@ck bad boy football player Jack Rider. The agreement is for only 2 weeks, but with feelings starting to grow, will either be able to walk away...

description
"Don’t worry, Danielle.” He dipped his head, his thumb brushing over her lower lip. “I’m going to take really good care of you."
description

After being less than impressed with the heroines over the top naivety in book one. I am happy to report that she is MUCH less annoying in this second part of the story. So much so that I absolutely loved her in this installment. She went from not being able to say "vagina" and "sex" to checking out a BDSM club and trying her hand at a "little" exhibition action.

The sexual tension between Jack and Danielle is OFF THE CHARTS. The sex scenes are SMOKIN hot. Jack and his dirty mouth make me in need of a cold shower. Both these characters are really enjoyable and it's really sweet to see the way they both care for each other. Up until this point there hasn't been an ounce of angst between this couple. Of course neither are aware of the others growing feelings and i'm sure this is going to be an issue come part three of the series. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Two thumbs up from yours truly...

3.5 ForePlay, FunPlay...It Continues Stars
* * * 1/2 It's Live!!
Oh, the fun these two are experiencing in spite of the limited time and knowing this relationship is nothing. Jack is in charge and Daniele is learning to accept his ways....

Yes, accepting gifted hands, a very gifted mouth and even accepting an educational field trip no other teacher would take...

Yet as open and willing all of their "classes and counseling sessions are,"both are hiding the feelings and closeness which is growing day by day. Jack wonders what his life will be if he doesn't heal his injury the way he should. Daniele sees and understands his unspoken concerns and works to help him see his possible future.

The time is ticking; two weeks are going to be up and both are primed and ready for the final exam...the only thing left to wonder is whether they both will "Graduate with a Love Degree."

The final installment is coming September 2016.

Body Contact is the second installment to Hands On Series by Cathryn Fox. This book can’t be read as a standalone since the story picks off right where it last left off in the previous book.

photo 3032ddba1b76d32d79a24f84022d53_zpsdum4a0e5.gif Who would have thought that sweet, virginal Danielle Lang— a recent graduate who wanted to open a family counseling practice someday, but had taken a sex therapist position in the meantime to help pay down bills— would come to him and ask for sex lessons to get her up to speed before summer classes started up? He probably shouldn’t be looking forward to it as much as he was.”

#BodyContact1

Danielle Lang is still a virgin but don’t worry this time Jack Rider has lots of teaching to do and Danielle is his willing student for the next two weeks. Jack never expected that he would feel something for Danielle especially they both made it very clear, two weeks of sexual education that’s it. But once he got a taste of Danielle, teaching her oral sex and pleasure, it seems that Jack Rider might be falling for his student and friend. So what happens when feelings, friendship and sex begins to get blurred? Will Jack be able to walk away knowing that there is a looming expiration date? Is two weeks enough or will Jack realize that he wants and needs more time?

photo 3032ddba1b76d32d79a24f84022d53_zpsdum4a0e5.gif When I finally take you, when I drive my cock into that sweet pussy of yours, I’m going to own you . You’re going to be so hot and wet for me, I’m going to possess every fucking inch of you. And you won’t be nervous or afraid. No, you’re going to be begging me for it. And when you do, I’m going to ram my cock into you so hard, you’re going to forget your own name. But believe me, you’ll never forget mine.”

Body Contact was deliciously sexy and steamy. Since Cathryn Fox already set up the friendship that Danielle and Jack agreed upon, now it’s time to get to the good stuff. Yeah, that’s right. I’m talking about the stuff that will make you blush. And so Cathryn Fox sinfully entices readers to see a more bold and brazen Danielle Lang, who is discovering her own sexuality and learning the fundamentals of sex. With his own sexual playbook, this NFL quarterback doesn’t immediately pop Danielle’s cherry but slowly teaches her the act of foreplay and oral sex. He wants Danielle to be comfortable with her body and experience pleasure before moving onto sex. And so in this installment, we get to see a whole new side to Danielle and Jack. I seriously can’t wait for the final installment of this light, fun, and sexy erotic serial.

3 Tie Me Up Stars

“You know what happens to naughty girls who overstep boundaries?”
She gasped, but then noticed the mischievous grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “No, what? Tell me.”
“Tell you.” He shook his head. “I don’t think so. But I will show you.” He paused for effect. “And it’ll be a night you’ll never, ever forget…”

Installments for serials are always difficult for me to review, but especially these middle installments. I’m never quite sure how much to give away without spoiling, and the task’s not made any easier given I’m not sure what’s to come still.

Body Contact is the typical middle story in a trilogy. Danielle and her “helper” Jake grow closer, both physically and emotionally, but the big crescendo has yet to come. I guess that gives us something to look forward to?

In the previous installment, Jake agreed to introduce Danielle to all things sexytimes in order for her to gain the knowledge necessary to teach her adult sex ed. class. Our man Jake’s a generous dude. He also has a proclivity for bondage and rope play with his sexy and so far that seems to suit innocent and virginal Danielle just fine.

Basically, Jake and Danielle continue to play and explore her boundaries and the story rolls on.

There are some stories that lend themselves perfectly to the serial format but unfortunately I don’t think the Hands On series is one of them. At the end of the first installment, I felt a connection to both Danielle and Jake that didn’t carry through to the second part of the story. Some of the flow and general mojo was lost. The entire length of the trilogy is shorter than most novellas so for the life of me, I can’t figure out why a serial was the route the author or publisher chose to go.

Overall, I’m still enjoying Jake and Danielle. I’m a little less enthused to find out what the future holds for them, but I’m still looking forward to the conclusion of their story.

Installment 2/3 in the serial. Short and sexy. Jack and Danielle explore a little more as they spend time together. I like it but I feel like we're over the halfway point and the surface is barely scratched. All three parts combined probably make one short novella. I honestly think this should not have been split. There're development opportunities here for sure. I guess I'll have to see what happens in the final installment. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing, though potential future sharing reluctantly comes up in the H's head. h is STILL a V. lol No rape/abuse.

'Body Contact' by Cathryn Fox is book two in the "Hands On" series. This also part two, is the continuing story of Jack Rider and Danielle. It is also about 75 or so pages..so a quick easy read. We learned in the last book that Danielle had taken on a Sexual Therapy position but as a Virgin knows nothing about it. So she has asked Jack to teach her but he is taking it very slow. What she thought would be a one night stand has turned into her being the student and its taking a long time to get to the physical contact.

Part 2 of the 3 book series is another very short and steamy read. Jack is introducing Danielle to all the little pleasures of foreplay before he takes her vCard. Meanwhile, falling a little bit more for her and her for him. Jack is used to woman using him for his fame so the fact that Danielle seems to genuinely care for him as a person is starting to rattle him. I can't wait for book 3 for these two to finally get together!

As I mentioned in my review of Hands On, it is really difficult to review a story that is published as installment/serials. Because they are just moments in time. These three installments, if read back to back (as I did lol) would constitute the beginning, middle and end of a journey for Jack and Danielle.

Jack is truly one of the best heroes I have read in a while. He's taking his time with Danielle. He's patient. And even though the book itself is short in pages, it is not short in story. You can fell the growth of the relationship thru the pages. And don't get me started on the sexy !!! God Almighty, Cathryn Fox can really write Scorch! lol

I want to make a note here for people that stay away from stories written with cliffhangers. These installments are not, what I would call, cliffhangerish. They end at a juncture in the journey of two people where the path would take a turn ... if that makes any sense. So there is no ...wait, what?!?! moments, just aaarrrgggg I want more moments LOL

Body Contact is the second part in this three-part serial. We get more of Danielle and Jack’s two-week relationship in this part, and things are really heating up. This installment had me flipping the pages quickly to see where their relationship was going. Danielle and Jack get even closer and I’m hoping that will continue into the final part of this series.

The ending of this book had me wanting more, and I am anxiously waiting for Full Exposure to land on my Kindle. I am interested to see what will happen with Jack and Danielle in the conclusion. This second part was a very likable continuation, and an enjoyable read. ~ Leah, 4 stars

Entertaining experience!

This is a review for the three-part serial Hands On.

I didn’t want to wait between each novella, so I read it all at once, and I suggest you do it too. I really enjoyed all parts, and you shouldn’t read them out of order.

Hands On is a great start. We get to know the characters, their motivations, and there’s no hurry about that. Body Contact is where things start to really heat up! We meet Jack’s family, where we begin to hope his brothers might have their own book. Full Exposure continues the sexy encounters and, of course, has a happy ending.

I was very satisfied with how this serial was plotted. Though I’m very tired of reading about BDSM, this story didn’t show as much as I first expected. The ending felt misplaced, I felt it did’t match with the pacing of the story. I will read more books by Cathryn Fox, her words flow in a very natural way and hooks the reader right from the first page.

I received an eARC of Hands On #1 in exchange for an honest review.

Body Contact picks up where Hands On leaves us off at. The lessons between Jack and Danielle are continuing and getting hotter and hotter with each one. I still love Jack, I love how he is with Danielle, he’s patient, he wants to do this for her, and well for him too, come on he’s a guy would you think he would say no? The thing is I am not really sure about if I like Danielle or not. In my review for Hands On I mentioned that I was starting to like Danielle that she was growing on me well for some reason in Body Contact I just didn’t like her. There is something about her character that is making me stand offish with her, maybe it’s the way she seems to be immature one moment and the next uptight. Then again it could be me not connecting or feeling the love for her. I am looking forward to see how their relationship will play out in Full Exposure.

This is just weird. I'm not sure an education in sex should begin in a sex club with a virgin. It's a bit awkward.

What is saving it is the building of a sweet relationship. Is it wrong that the cute way they are obviously falling for each other is hotter than the sort of sex they are exploring?

Hopefully the third book will finally get to the goods.

Please bear in mind this is the second part of a three-part serial and may, therefore, contain spoilers to part one - Hands On.

Embarking on an education of intimacy to help Danielle understand the real life aspects of sexuality before she has to teach a course at the college. I fell in love with Danielle and Jack in Hands On, and only grew to love them more in Body Contact.

Body Contact finds Jack and Danielle growing closer and not just in the physical sense. They seem to understand each other on an intrinsic level. with all of Danielle's issues stemming from her foster care and abandonment

Danielle's issues stemming from her abandonment by her mother and subsequent time in foster care , my heart quite literally hurt for her emotional barriers and the way in which she feels almost unworthy of someone wanting to be part of her life. As if she can easily be discarded, it is due to her emotional damage Danielle is unable to see when someone is reaching out to her.

Jack has to be the sweetest alpha on the planet, the way in which he takes care of Danielle, emotionally as well as physically, only served to make me love him more. While Jack is a big shot sportsman, he truly loves his chosen sport but not the trappings that go alongside it. He has a few issues himself stemming from people either trying to latch onto his fame or undermine him because of his success. He has never come across anyone as selfless as Danielle before; she takes him completely by surprise, and he doesn't know how to deal with his growing feelings because of his career situation.

I was a little concerned with the inclusion of a 'special' club within the plot but should have known Jack's alpha tendencies would ensure it was perfectly safe for Danielle. The insight the club provided via the voyeuristic look at sexuality and fetishes was very interesting, a completely unique perspective giving a new level of understanding to the psychology behind certain kinks.

As their time together gets closer to ending Jack and Danielle have to deal with the knowledge that the connection between them isn't purely physical.

What will happen with Jack's sports career?

Will Jack be able to break through Danielle's emotional barriers?

I cannot wait to read Full Exposure to find out.

Body Contact follows straight on from the first book in this three part series, Danielle is still shocked that Jack Ryder, the guy who she could never imagine would help her out, is helping her with her sexual education. The fact that he is enjoying his time with Danielle is an added bonus.
This part of the series you get to meet Jack's family, who are brilliantly funny. You can see where he gets his dedication and charming nature. Helping Danielle is giving him something to focus on instead of wallowing in the fact his injury is still healing.
There is a lot more sexual education in this book than the first book, you also get to know the characters more and figure out their deep dark secrets. With their agreement being only two weeks, Danielle is eager to learn as much as she can but Jack is making sure to take his time in teaching her. Although the more time they both spend together, the more they both realise they are starting to feel more then just friendship towards each other.
I was rooting for both Jack and Danielle to get together properly as they seemed to care about each other's lives outside of the deal they had made. I was eager to read the third and final part of the series to find out how their relationship progresses as they are one of those couples who compliment each other so well.
I loved this book so much, it is a true Cathryn Fox story, in the sense that you get the romance side, the sexual side and the humorous side. Making this book the best it can be all the while making me want to read the third and final part straight away to see what happens with Danielle and Jack.
Body Contact will have you laughing with the antics that Danielle and Jack get up too. I would recommend everyone who loves a different type of romance, to read this book as it will definitely surprise you and want to read more books by Cathryn Fox.

Jack Rider is in way over his head. Being propositioned for sex by the hottie of his dreams since high school was something he could never turn down. Nor would he want to. Knowing she is an innocent in every aspect of the word sealed the deal. Now, after just a few nights in each other’s arms he wants more.

Number two in the Hands On series by Cathryn Fox and it is just as awesome as the first one! Jack and Danielle are combustible that has left me panting for more! Danielle is coming into her sensuality that has Jack wondering if he has enough to teach her. They both believe that this is just a two-week experiment where feelings should not equal into the equation. But they have so much potential for more.

I loved getting to know more of Jack’s family and hopefully there will be another series for Sam, Luke, and Jamie (*hint hint!). Miss Fox has a seamless way of writing where everyone fits in or can be easily connected to that pulls you into the book. As I approached the ending of this book I slowed down because I knew I did not want it to end. Body Contact gives you just enough to get your blood pumping in anticipation for Full Exposure! Now, to wait a few weeks until I can get my hands on it!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the second novella in the series - and you definitely want to read Hands On first. My review will assume that you have read it.

Time is passing all too quickly for both Jack and Danielle, although neither of them will admit to the other that they actually would like this not just be a two week assignment! Jack is still holding out, and teaching Danielle everything before he will 'do the deed'. She is proving to be an able student, and developing a definite taste for all things sexual. Jack's experience ensures that he knows how special things are between them, and Danielle's innocence means that she believes the same ... roll on book 3 and the culmination of all this unresolved passion! ... oh and an appointment for Sunday dinner with Jack's family!

Scorching-hot and sweet!

This second part of the series of novellas is engrossing because it takes the characters seriously while the intimate lessons take place with highly detailed care.

Both Jack and Danielle are charming and nice. I loved his chapters because it shows how deeply he's falling for her despite the temporary state of their relationship. After all, it's only two weeks of lessons in bed before they go their separate ways. However, his inner musings show a troubled man who is worried about his knee injury, how women see him as a means to his wealth and fame, and his future. He is also extremely patient and caring towards Danielle's first experiences at his skilled hands. Not to mention how hot the lessons are!

They proceed with new, deeper steps in the lessons and believe me, the level of detail and satisfaction is up in the heavens ;o) I also liked Danielle's independence and her sweet nature, how she cares for him. I'm very fond of this story so I look forward to reading the final part.

Cathryn Fox has been one of my favorite authors for some time now and she never fails to entertain with her erotic stories. Body Contact is the second installment of her three-part serial, and it is sexy, hot and seductive.

The story continues with rehabbing pro football player Jack Rider teaching psychologist Danielle Lang all about sex. In this installment they visit a BDSM club, as they begin to realize that they mean more to each other than just teacher and student.

Although I really enjoyed the first book, this one fell slightly short for me. So much sex left little time for the storyline, and I prefer more of an equal balance of plot and sexy times. Both main characters are likable and I love how their relationship continues to evolve. I typically do not like serials, but this one may just change that. I am truly looking forward to reading the last and final installment in September.

Much like the previous book, this was a hot and fun story.

We continue with Jack and Danielle’s journey of discovery. In this one, Jack goes even deeper into Danielle’s education, trying to learn what she really likes in bed. It’s crazy hot between these two, and it wasn’t just about the physical part of things. The more time they spend together, the more they go deeper into each other’s lives, which scares the crap out of Jack and Danielle.

So far, it has been a great series and I can’t wait to read the last book, and see how they resolve their fears.

Again I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jack and Danielle and their growing releationship. I also like them as individual characters.
It is very refreshing that Danielle isn't the typical shy virgin which blushes about everything sexual. I like that she is interested in things and it open for trying. I am not sure if Bdsm is something to think about before even having actual sex. I found this a bit irritating.

Being a short story everything feels a bit rushed and I think it would work better as a whole story and not being split up in short parts.
