Jacque’s mind wandered as she hovered somewhere between life and death. Her body longed to let go, to sink into the peaceful abyss, to the place where she didn’t have to worry about rabid, child-snatching vampires and the carnage they’d caused to so many innocent families. But something kept her here, tethered to this world, something she couldn’t quite remember hovered just on the edge of her consciousness, something vital. It wasn’t Fane, he would be with her on the other side, she knew that. If she died, he died too and he wouldn’t have it any other way. She could feel Peri’s presence in her body. The fae was fighting, expending every ounce of her energy to keep her and Fane alive and the strain was taking its toll on the fae. But why? Why was the fae fighting as if her own life depended upon Jacque’s survival? Jacque was starting to remember someone else—someone that depended on her. A brand new life, precious and perfect…her son. Costin’s best friend lay as if sleeping, clinging to life by a mere thread, held at the other end by the powerful fae. But the thread holding Costin to his own sanity was just as feeble. Sally, his world, his light, his brown-eyes, the only thing that keeps the darkness at bay, was gone. Simply vanished. Costin didn’t know how or where, and it was tearing him up inside. The young boy, Titus, his adopted son, was the only thing that kept his wolf from taking over completely. Costin would be strong for the boy for as long as he could, but he wasn’t sure how long he could keep the feral would at bay. Bethany, the brave young girl that had been rescued from the clutches of the vampire coven to which she’d served as food for the past seven years, was now sharing a room with her true mate, with absolutely no understanding of what that meant. Though the girl had proven to be resilient, she had no idea how to handle her the huge dominating werewolf that had staked his claim on her. Drake was past the point of feral when he’d found her, and that kind of darkness doesn’t let go without a fight. The strongest of alpha females, raised with a full understanding of pack law and the power of the mate bond, would have had a tough time dealing with the wolf. Bethany, a dormant, who had no idea who or what she was, didn’t stand a chance.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
Whoa! THAT.WAS.INTENSE (in a great way). The Burning Claw was amazing! It's one that's a little darker than some because of the drama unfolding and I cannot wait to see how Quinn starts to handle all the issues going on in this book. This book really laid out the whole problem and we (the reader) begin to see it all unfold. I love, love all the new characters and I'm such a sucker for those bossy male wolves that adding more of them and true mates is a huge WIN in my book! Quinn was able to be true to the characters we have loved from the beginning, and maintaining an exciting and dramatic story line, all while moving the book along at a good pace (I don't know how she does it). She is an amazing author and I can honestly say I am blessed to have found her!
This book is special to me because I am such a 'Sally' so I relate to her the most and this story really focuses on her and wow, what a road she has gone on and will still need to travel BUT don't count us Sally's of the World's out! We have an inner strength that Quinn is able to capture so well!
Let me just say that there are some new true mates and I found myself engrossed in their sections! I never tire of these couples rather I just feed off it with delight! Please Quinn don't ever stop giving us the same beloved couples and bringing us joy when new ones meet! The couples are what make the books in my opinion. It's about the relationships between mates, the pack, friends and that is what it's all about!
This was an awesome book. I have to say I have been a fan of Quinn's for a long time. I enjoyed this book as much as the first three, which are my favorites.
Sally is living in a different country, city, and state away from her pack mates with no knowledge of who she is, who they are, or what has happened to her since her memory has been altered. A lot of heart break happens in this book. You need lots of tissues. There were a lot of new characters to fall in love with. I love Titus, Zara, and Bethany. Quinn, it is about time poor old Wadim.... well I won't say anymore because that would be a spoiler and ruin the surprise. Let's just say I am happy about the history boy. Excuse me, for the ADD. It was like my mind just veered of track. When we left the last book Jacque and Fane were being kept alive with Peri's very life force. I can't say whether they made it or not, but they had a beautiful baby boy that is being cared for by his grandmothers in the first of this book. So like I said a lot of heart ache and pain. But this was an awesome book. I felt some of the emotions they felt. I laughed, cried, and was terrified of what would happen next. This book didn't feel rushed. It was well written, and I fell in love with the characters. Bethany is finally able to get some things settled with Drake.
I highly recommend this book. It was amazing!!!!!! I would give it ten stars if I could.
Thank you Quinn for your awesome books. It feels like you share a piece of your heart with me every single time I read something you write.

5 years and 10 books later, I have decided to call it quits with this series. Recently, Quinn took to her Facebook to ask readers on whether or not she should continue writing for TGWS. My first thought was absolutely not, TGWS has been one of my favorite paranormal series to date. Why would she ever want to stop? Unfortunately, I hadn't finished this book yet, and now that I have, I do believe it's time for an end. It has been a pleasure to watch Quinn grow not only as a writer but as a person. Her rewrites show her constant need to do better and it's truly inspiring to see such dedication. I do believe there are not many people that can develop a group of characters quite like Quinn can, I just wish the characters tugged more at my heart strings this time around. There are so many ways to be captured, saved and re captured. So many times a person can lose their memory, and so many jokes Jacque and Jen can make before it gets old. At this point, we are just beating a dead horse. Maybe it's time for a new series? I'd be all for a new one.
This book was a slap in the face to the years I have spent reading her books. Every one else may be complementing the book like it was genius but all I saw was some one trying to be clever. It didn't work. This disrespect to me and other readers has now made it tthat I will no longer support this author. By making sally sleep with some one else Quinn has lost a reader. she couldn't let the story end no she had to become greedy and milk the story line for all it's worth. Reading her books is like kicking a dead horse you get sick of it at some point Quinn has just speed up the process by betraying me. Many are saying how good this book was and I honestly have no idea where they got that notion. Sally sleeped with some one else and I don't really care that is was this weird brackets fault it still happened and I don't want to read about how they will heal. Costin may be able to get over it but I sure as hell won't! Good bye Quinn hope trying to be clever was worth losing a reader.
UGH! Okay so there were so many problems with this book. One, the narrator. Two, what the hell kind of ending was that horse shit? This was written in 2016.. so why does it feel like I'm supposed to have another book after this one? I've yet to find it.
The Burning Claw was interesting, if you can get past the whole hating the narrator thing. Then there's the whole Sally and Costin issue. I was so freaking upset with what happened. I don't understand what people have against this group of shifters.. but damn, they need a break! I really need them to get their shit together but that didn't happen in this book either.
Between people going feral, losing their memory, and sort of falling in love.. I was a hot mess. This book was a hot mess. Heck! Sally and Costin deserved so much better. Everyone did really but damn, I was freaking out over what was happening to their story line. Just ask my buddy who read this series with me!!
Overall, I'm wondering when there will be another book because this series could not end on the burning claw club note.
OMG that cliff-hanger I'm so can't wait to read the next book when it comes out I rated it a 6.5/5 stars like I do with all of Quinn Loftis amazing books I love how much character development has happened in this book can't wait to review this on my blog.
I don't even know where to start. This was amazing and I can't wait for the next one. I appreciated that it picked up right where Den of Sorrows left off because we had some serious issues that needed to be resolved. First off, I'm glad Jaque and Fane aren't dead, though I didn't really have any doubt that they wouldn't make it. I totally ship Bethany and Drake. The only thing I could think about Sally is that she a ho and that Costin was going to have to die until he just kept gaining control and fighting that dearness. Kudos to you. And that reunion at the end there was so intense and devastating and made me so dang emotional but reminded me of everything I loved about them from the beginning. And Titus, my man, is just the epitome of adorableness. I thought it was leaning towards Skender ending up as Zara's mate but I like her and Wadim sooooo much better. That whole thing brought forth the biggest reaction at the point in the book. They are just yummy. But what the freak you think you're doing Skender? If any of my children get hurt I'm gonna explode and probably die in a hole.

1,000,000/5 stars. Back to back Grey Wolves books just give me so much happiness. Okay back to reality, Quinn has done it again. The end of den of sorrows was so devastating, but I was happy, that as usual Quinn didn't leave us in the dark about what was going on with any of the characters. I love the fact that once a girl comes into the book, you have to know she's gonna get paired up with someone, it makes it fun to guess. Drake and Bethany? Yes please. But even more so. Freaking Zara and Wadim. "Wadim the hottie with the swimmers body," they never really described exactly what he looked like and I'm glad that Zara did. These books seriously make me laugh at every witty line and bickering session that everyone seems to love partaking in. Also, Titus sweet baby Titus, is my love. I could honestly probably go on forever about these. And I hope that the characters let Quinn write these books forever.

Wooooow. I can't believe it's over. I know I should have favored it but I just couldn't. Too many things were happening that I just couldn't put the book down. I mean cmon with jacqu and fame waking up and their new son Slate. It's just wow. Plus with sally gone and costin dealing with it all on his own while looking after little Titus. There is just too much. Plus with Alstons betrayal to the fae. I hope he dies. Thank you Quinn Loftis for this incredible series. And please tell me there is another one.
Reread 2021: 4.5/5 Stars
I really enjoyed this reread, but because it took me like two weeks to read, my rating went down. I did still teared up at some points, and laughed at some points. This book is a favorite of mine in the series. The new characters are great, and the plot is a little better than the other books. So all in all, it was an enjoyable reread.

Starting this series, I thought that the three friends were somme of equal characters, but unfortunately not (and that's not why i stoped to like this serie). First poor Sally - it seams to me that the author either does not like her or did not have idea for her. The book is full of contradictions and double standards. Sally is lost but none of her pack was looking for her, her precious healer. Then the bond which by all others was strong (by Jen and Dec survived it's brecking and memory loss), but not by Sally and Costin. Since the fourth part of this serie I have the feeling that the author favor character of Jen, her role sometimes is so exaggerated that the whole world Loftis created fell in ruins of abstraction, became unbelievable and shallow.
Oh my Lord! What a freakin' book!! As always, this was unputdownable! The girls are snarky and loyal to the core. The wolves are HOTHOTHOT and obsessively possessive. And Peri Faerie is trying to keep the whole dang world from falling apart. Again. But don't get me wrong, this is a totally new and shocking story! Just when you think they've been through everything.... BAM!! A new evil erupts! All I can say is.... you need to read this NOW!!
This book was INTENSE!!!!!! Definitely pulled at my heart strings and I couldn't put it down. Quinn please don't ever stop lol, I don't know what I will do without the pack
He grinned at her and patted her cheek. “You came back for me and Daddy. Because we need you. Daddy is great, but you make us shine. Without you, it gets kind of dark.”
I had to read this within 2 days because I felt such turmoil for the characters. It really felt like I was a part of their friendship group and I was so on edge just waiting to see if Fane and Jacque survive their trials, for Sally to be found, have her memories restored, and her kidnappers to get their asses kicked. I feel so connected to these girls; I laughed hard at Jen and her typical crazy antics, and I cried so much just thinking about how our precious Sally will feel when she “wakes up” and realises what has happened to her (I won’t spoil it, but it was BAD). I was almost shouting at the book!
Loved it and definitely worth the read.
Here are some of my fav lines:
“Jen you have better be joking or I swear I’ll dye your skin blue,” Jacque turned to Bethany. “She has an irrational fear of Smurfs all of a sudden.” “Well, if you had some weird sexual dream about your mate and that female hussie Smurf, then you’d have a hang-up too,” Jen snapped.
“Don’t you have a baby that needs a boob?” Jen threw her head back and cackled—literally cackled. “I’m sorry, Red, but that was awesome.” Jacque turned her scowl on her best friend. “Don’t you have a mate who needs a boob?” Jen snickered. “No, he prefers two.”
I love this GWS but at times such as this book it's gets deep and heavy. I will take a break to try to readjust to what is going on with our pack. I know it's just a story but I feel a strong connection to our pack. Will be back to review the next book I. This series.
I swear I was squealing at all the right places. The end was bittersweet, the characters all amazing as hell .
First off... The major emotional plot was Sally and costin. Their separation, their individual lives, and how Titus fits in with those innocent wise words if a child... Damn... Keep a box of tissues close gurl. Their reunion was just... Devastatingly emotional.. And gah... I can't give away more without giving major spoilers. We see Sally in her new tampered life and how she is cheated and tampered with in the worst way ever... And costin... Trying to fight the darkness... My god
Jacque and fane... wonderful. We get introduced to their new son and even in the midst of all this craziness we never forger why fane was the hero of the series to begin with. They had some seriously.. Droolworthy scenes. Possessive and protective werewolf Comin through! Another part.. Though unexpected.. Was to see some really cute scenes between fane and alina. I mean.. To see how fane is a father now and a husband and alina has realised that her baby boy is all grown up now... Damn.
Jennifer and decibel... My, my, my . Where to start? The sexually innuendos were never-ending, the humour there in the wildest situations and the sarcasm always making us howl with laughter. Decibel makes some majorly cool decisions in this book and his way of dealing with his mate... Hot hot hot! Another new side of jen is that of a mom.. And a damn good one.. She is. She's that badass female alpha mom with a lot of sexy!
The one thing that I'm still debating is whether drake and bethany were really a necessity to the story. I mean, they were so new and refreshing but honestly, the story would be just as amazing without the girl without any sex knowledge and the dominant male wolf who's been pining for his mate for centuries. But there is one scene involving jen, Jacque and this girl.. In for a sexual education... Sex Ed with Jennifer? Sign me up!!!!
Wadim... He deserved his happy story, though I'd like to hear more of him and his mate(nope, no spoilers!)
Cyn and thalion.. OK this was a refreshing, healthy couple and I'm glad to see they have a novella which I'm dying to get my hands on.
Peri the fae.. Was awesome. Her snarky remarks and her way of dealing with the flea balls was entertainment 101. However, I feel that Lucian should have had a bigger role in the story.. I mean he's lived centuries.. He's vasiles bro(they have no scenes together dammit)!
The story was just the right length, vasile was the perfect alpha, alina the perfect luna. Lilly and cypher were just a distraction to me honestly I am craving more!!!!!!!!!! When's the next book!!!!!!! You can't leave us hanging like this!!!!!
Reason why is that all the snarky comments took up so much room that is didn’t allow the storyline to develop properly which in itself caused the series storyline to not move fast enough. I know this extends the length of the series, but if there isn’t enough real stuff happening them it just becomes relationship filler and the series starts to wander.
Still don’t like Jen, but some of the new couples coming in are cute. And the ending reminds me of the closing credits of ‘The Walden’s’ TV show. “Nite, Jacque. Nite, Jen. Nite, Sally. Nite, Jen, Nite, Sally. Nite, Jacque. Nite, Peri, Nite, Jen. Etc. Gotta be a better way of wrapping it up.
Fave scenes: doghouse count, Bethany’s bathroom surprise, the lateness argument and Zara meeting Wadim.
So...Jen is saving your ass Quinn. Seriously, these series would be nothing without Jen. There's a lot of Sally drama, which is pretty entertaining and more mate bonds stablished with also helps, tho I'd have liked to read more about...wait...Uhm...The Burning Claw? Helloooooo, they're our bad guys! I enjoyed it? Yes. It's extraordinary? No. So...keep working on the story please, so much point of views are a pain in the ass sometimes. It's your book girl, but this is my review. PS: Jericho died too quickly for my taste...I don't like suffering nor torture but maybe he could've escaped...? Or something? I mean seriously? He's ANCIENT still he got killed in no time.

This book was absolutely amazing. I'm just kinda getting annoyed with Jen, I know everyone is going to probably bash me, but I think she needs to take a sec and not have all the attention always on her. Jaque and Fane have been tossed aside and only inserted in the book when absolutely necessary otherwise it's always Jen and Deceble this, Jen and Deceble that. I just think that Jaque and fans should have more of a part in the books because no matter what they will always be my favorite characters. Sally and Costin are amazing too, and yeah Jen and Deceble are cool. But after awhile with all the attention only on these two it's starting to annoy me and it's getting old. thanks sorry....
I am so sad that it's over... I absolutely loved this series and don't want it to end. There's still so much left to find out about this group of Wolf Shifters, Fairies, Warlocks and Fay Folk. I am not through with these fascinating characters. I hope this Author checks on her reviews and listens to her adoring readers. I am so glad that I stumbled onto this series and I know that, you will love it as much as I do. I am moving onto the next series of this Author and it is called The Gypsy Healers Series. It's a continuation of the Grey Wolves Series and looks to be as good as it's predecessor... Happy Reading everyone.
After the Luna Of Mine, it is the second most interesting book in the series. I enjoyed the book so very much. There was sooo much. Sally's story was a great twist, Drake's and Bethany's events brought spice to the story. The great thing about the series is the Happy Ending. Ready to read the next book.❤
I’ve read this book, and the rest of the Grey Wolves/Gypsy Healers Series a few times since I was first recommended Prince of Wolves on Amazon back in 2013, but I’ve never gotten around to posting a review so here goes. I enjoyed this book, and it was definitely an emotional roller coaster. This book packs so much emotion throughout the pages. I laughed and cried with the characters, especially Sally and Costin. This book starts from where Den of Sorrows finished. Jacque and Fane are trapped somewhere between life and death, after Jacque lost so much blood giving birth to their son Slate in the vampire coven due to a placental abruption.
Peri is nearly tapping herself out by using her power to keep them alive but nothing seems to be helping. Luckily her mate Lucian fires Peri up so she unleashes her full power that brings them both back into the land of the living. In the aftermath of Jacque’s traumatic birth Sally gets left behind, as Costin stayed home in order to protect their new son Titus who’d been held and used as a blood bag for the Vamps so since he had no family to go back to, he’s now their son. Sally was taken, and her and Costin’s bond is just gone. Costin is holding on by a thread and the only think that’s keeping his wolf from completely taking over is Titus. Man, Titus is such a wee warrior.
I loved how he kept on talking out the Angel visiting him, which was actually the Great Luna. I really enjoyed getting to know Bethany a bit and found it hilarious how much enjoyment Jen got explaining all things s*xual to her. She even had a book ready with pictures lol. Bethany and Drake are true mates but they’ve got a lot of teething issues to work through where their mating is concerned. I also really liked meeting Zara aka Z and found her commentary for one Jen and Decebel’s arguments was pure gold. It was completely heartbreaking hearing Z tell her mate Wadim aka History Boy what was done to her at the hands of the vamps, when she found out that they’re true mates. She thought that he couldn’t want her after all the t*rture she suffered through.
Z and Bethany are going to fit right in with Jen, Jacque and Sally. Man, it was completely heartbreaking everything Sally and Costin went through in order to make it back to each other. Luckily they’re surrounded by those that love and care for them greatly, as they’ll be able to pick them up when everything gets to be too much. On a happier note Cyn and Thalion finally had their bonding ceremony, it’s only taken like two Centuries to get there. It was beautiful that the Great Luna joined their souls together which I’m guessing is like she does with the wolves and their true mates, as they have matching golden markings on their hands.
After all working together to take out the Vampires, it’s discovered that the Order of the Burning Claw is still active. Alston the ex-leader of the High Fae Council is part of the Order, and he’s responsible for taking Sally, wiping her memory and providing a bracelet laced in his magic that forced Sally to do something she’d never do. He’s not going to live long when Peri, the Wolves, the Fae, the Elves and the Warlocks are g*nning for his a*se. I’m looking forward to reading Wolves of Wrath (Gypsy Healers Series) book 4 and seeing how Peri, Lucian, the wolves and the new Gypsy Healers mission to stop Volcan from creating more witches. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I’ve been reading this series for the damn longest and have spent my quarantine getting caught up. I would think that after so long, the genius Quinn Loftis wouldn’t be able to pull a fast one on me anymore, right? Wrong. That being said, this one had me curled up in the corner crying like a hound dog that got kicked to the curb. Titus and Vasile alone pulled tears pretty much every time they had dialogue. These characters quickly become your friends, they knit themselves into your soul because they are that well written, that lovable, that level of fantastic. This series draws you in and makes you one of its own before the first book is over and you know, always, that you’ll always reach out for more. It’s hard to give fantasy readers anything new, Tolkien and Martin made sure of that, but this is for the lovers, the laughers and the perpetually lighthearted and that makes it new. The love that I as a reader have for these characters only grows, that makes it new. I can’t say that I loved any of the Harry Potter characters as much as I love these fur balls. Hell, even if they weren’t saving the world and the series just devolved into stories about Jen stripping or ordering more doghouses, I’d be tucked in with my hot chocolate savoring every single word. This is the bomb dot com. If you have the chance to read this series, do not, and I repeat DO NOT, miss it. I got lucky many years ago and caught the Prince of Wolves for free and read it on a whim. This is now my comfort series for when the dark becomes a stupid, dark, unbearable place and I think that’s what we all need right now is a touch of comfort. This series isn’t easy. It’s almost like Loftis enjoys torturing your new friends. But keep calm, get yourself some faith, trust and Peri dust, and ride the rollercoaster.
Ughhhh this book made me sad, because of what poor Sally went through.
But I am glad we are meeting new characters, because even though I love the trio of girls it reallllllly is the same thing over and over again and I am getting tired of the girls. I KNOW. I just feel it is time for their stories to come to an end. I don't want to have 60+ books in this series about the same story really and to hear WHAT MATES ARE for the 1000000 time. its repeative. but she does tell a good story and is a great writer, but i just dont want her to milk this series and characters. I loved Elfin mostly because it was 3 books- if it went on forever i dont think i would enjoy it.
Also, I feel because of what happens to Sally and what happened to Zara 10 books in this is the darkest. I mean i feel the author needed to do something big and what happened to Sally changes things.
Somethings push a line and this one did it for me. A big line. I have to think about what will come next because, I know this is a story and all that but Jesus, it’s like torture is the new Prada or something. Along with 58997754 things happening at the same dang time. It was a good story, yes but to say it didn’t make me want to turn it off and never pick it up again.... would be a freaking lie.
Sally, our sweet little Gypsy healer has been beyond tortured though she doesn’t see it at first. She doesn’t see it until it’s too late. Her memories have been taken, she’s been dropped into a new place and has no idea who and what she really is.
It was hard to watch, seriously. But I get why it happened, or I think I do.
Costing on the other hand... my God to see him so broken was hard. I just wanted to pick him up and give him a huge hug. In the end he got his revenge and his girl back so I’m thankful for that.
Now we have to wait and see what happens with the pie-holes known as the Order of the Burning Claw are up to. (Mutters)
Wow. This book has a lot of emotional angst and turmoil the characters have to overcome forcing them to become stronger and more connected as a whole. There is Vampires who are horrendous making the gravest of crimes, ultimate and unseeing betrayals. Fae's and Elves uniting to overrule a ludicrous leader, a secret organization bent on destroying humanity with Wolves and their fearless counterparts attempting to battle the evil that continues to destroy. I enjoy the character interactions and all the different points of views getting a more in depth understanding to their personality and personal trials. Though some of the many personalities seemed to mesh making their supposed individuality seem indistinguishable. Some subjects discussed are sensitive and could be triggers. The love and adoration the characters share are always awe inspiring with great sarcastic humor to curve such dire situations in the book.
I honestly wanted to give this one only 3 stars through most of the book. I was so bored with the Bethany/Drake storyline. In the end of it, there didn’t appear to be a reason for the Jacque/Fane storyline, they woke up and all was good, and the Sally storyline just felt like a stretch in the story. It could have gotten to the same result much quicker and with less junk in between.
However, around 65% into the book I found myself actually invested in the book. I finally found myself WANTING to read on and had a hard time putting the book down. I didn’t love the ending but just as the majority of this book, it just all felt like a stretch in the story. Events that are happening to set up more, but lasted longer than they needed. I’m not sure how long I can stand Sally acting as she is, so I’m hoping that the novella leading into the next book is enough to get her whining out before I move into the very next book.
I do not understand the negative reviews for this book. The audio book was free with my audible membership and I agree the narrator was not the best but the author's story line is the best as usual. The last book left all the characters in a lot of troubles, most were taken care of in this book. I agree that Sally and Costin's story was regrettable, they deserve so much more happiness. But her captures will get what they deserve and the next book should take care of the character that actually took her, what a surprise to find out who he was. The biggest villains, the Order of the Burning Claw, is quite a surprise. I am sure the author will take care of them also, hopefully without killing any of the main characters. Can't wait to continue this series and the Gypsy Healer series also.
