I couldn't find a way to save her. She begged me to, every time those big, innocent blue eyes met mine, and yet, I let her fall.Darren ultimately finds solace at the last place he expected- church and with Paul Kendrick, priest turn friend
He has one of those penetrating gazes, the kind that make you feel totally, unnervingly seen, all the way down to your core.Paul has been in the priesthood and celibate for five years. In that time he has never been tempted with feeling of lust or sexual desire until Darren. He demands order and control in his life.
"I can't resist you anymore, Darren. I need to have you."I found the passages between these two dirty, filthy, and sinfully hot. The anticipation of what was to come drove me crazy.
He lets me unzip him, yank his pants to his knees and push his boxers past his twitching thighs. It's still dark, but my eyes have adjusted enough that when I catch an eyeful of his full, erect cock, I lick my lower lip, dying for a taste. God, he's fucking gorgeous. Thick, solid, curved upward at the tip just the slightest bit, and straining with lust. I flick my tongue over the tip, to catch the silvery bead of pre-cum forming, and he groans, his fist clenching my hair. What I liked most about this book was the familiarity with the cast. It was nice to see Lola Darling didn't stray too far from the original characters and storyline as it felt like reading a continuation of Submit with Darren the main focus instead of Monica. I also liked the taboo element which is the unorthodox relationship between Darren and Paul. Because the blurb gave no indication of this type of trope, for me it was a pleasant surprise but for other readers this might be a turn off. In addition, there's someone who threatens this new found relationship that gives this read a bit of an edge besides the forbidden aspect.
