A precious book of poetry about babies and toddlers, illustrated by Bessie Pease Gutman who used her own children as models for her artwork. The sweet and tender poems were created by Pamela Prince.
This poetry is perfect for reading to children and they will love the babies!

I usually don't spend much time reading poetry, but this compilation is an exception! I am thrilled with the way the author uses real-life situations to form the basis of her poems; for example, a toddler fumbling with her buttons, a boy building with blocks, a toddler in a time-out corner, a little girl feeding a dog her ice cream cone. They are rich and the illustrations are charming!

I have such fond childhood memories of this book. I used to love to look at the pictures. The illustrations are beautiful. Definitely a classic.
