Yep, this is definitely a series not to take seriously. If you can suspend reality for 130 pages, you'll probably have a lot of fun.
This was just as hot as the first, probably more so because Chiaki finally gives in and willingly submits to Roduka. Of course, he goes from trying to escape being a sex slave, to falling in love with his buyer within 24 hours, but hey, suspending reality.
This book was lighter than the first, mainly because the dub-con is behind us and it's just Roduka and Chiaki falling in love, oh and OTT bad guys, but hey, suspending reality.
So much fun and will definitely read more by this author.

Sweeter than the first book, no non-con anymore, but hot and sexy nonetheless. Again, it's better not to take this too seriously but I enjoyed it very much. I will look for more of this author.

This was book two in the Innocent Pet Series Eros Island is a place where nothing is off limits, no kink is too taboo and anything you want, can be had for a price even a young man’s innocence. Rokuda is the head of one of Tokyo's most dangerous mobs he paid a lot to be the first to take Chiaki. Chiaki has been through a lot his mother left him and he lived on the street until he was kidnapped and taken to the island. This book started off where the last one left off Rokuda didn't take Chiaki the first night he did prepare him with a plug. When they went first a swim in the ocean he took him than and it was hot. I really liked this book and both of these character's Rokuda was unsure as to what to do with Chiaki and Chiaki was unsure that Rokuda wanted him. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I don't read a lot of Yaoi Romance but this series was pretty good.

I have read this a few times, one of them recently, and thought I had rated and reviewed. Amelita Rae books are like the perfect blend of contemporary MM and boys love manga.
This novella is the well written conclusion to ‘Innocent Pet.’ I enjoyed part two more because the relationship between pet and master has become something deeper for both. Billionaire Rokuda finds himself cherishing his time with Chiaki, who is working his way into Rokuda’s heart. I love their scenes together.

Very exquisitely written about the beauty of BDSM. If you are new to being submissive and dominant, I'd fully recommend you to read this novella for you to realize the beauty of completely trusting someone enough to let him or her to dominate you. I have read a lot of Miss Rae's work and each and every time, she left me surprised and wanting more for her works.

Four stars only because I skimmed through a bunch in the middle. Turns out I really can't handle non-con. Who knew? Other than that this was really lovely. Definetly welled up at the end. My favorite description of dom/sub dynamic is buried in here. Glorious!

I just read an almost identical book The Contract by Claire Thompson. Better written, better edited and without all that overdrawn sentimental mush. I am very surprised to see “Cherished” having higher ratings.

Book 1 introduced characters and their situations from the past to present. Chiaki and Rokuda start their relationship with their first night on Eros together and now book 2 continues from where book 1 stopped.
After falling asleep, having a restful night for once, Rokuda wakes to a soft body beside him. This has never happened before and it confuses him.
They have most of the day to play together, starting with the beach, another first for Rokuda.
Their day progresses and soon it is evening. Fujiwa has invited Rokuda to the club. Chiaki's eyes nearly bug out of his head as he takes in the scenes.
They have dinner together, but soon Chiaki needs the toilet. Unfortunately for him, Sonoda is there and sets Chiaki up into a bad situation.
Rokuda is annoyed thinking Chiaki has left him but he soon finds out the reason for his pet's absence. Rokuda gets beyond angry and takes his revenge.
The story ends telling you the outcome and future of those events. The characters are fantastic but some of the BSDM bits are not for the faint hearted. They were for me, the least enjoyable bits in the book. However, they lend themselves perfectly to the story hence the five not four star.
You go back to Eros years later with Rokuda and Chiaki, and find out what has happened in their lives and the other characters too.
One thing I hope the author does, is to write Fujiwa's complete story. That would be a great read.

After a lifetime of struggle and abuse, Chiaki is in disbelief at how well Rokuda treats him. Chiaki begins to realize he may have a really good thing with Rokuda.
The guys share a delicious, charming breakfast. Everyone is jealous of them. Chiaki’s never seen the ocean, so Rokuda takes him down to the beach. And it’s hot af.
After the beach, Rokuda arrives at some profound realizations.
More and more romantic, intimate times. Despite the evil antics of Sonoda and Shinzeki, the couple perseveres. Shockingly, Fujiwa does the right thing. And we learn why he’s been in debt to Rokuda. Sharp twist.
Some of the BDSM stuff is not my scene, but overall the love story is so sweet and so beautiful. Excellent epilogue.

I read the first book so long ago and always remembered it, so it was obviously a great memorable read. But then I didn't buy the 2nd book, forgot who the author was and it wasn't until recently that I stumbled across that book again and realized that the 2nd book was available on Kindle Unlimited. Yay!
This was quite unexpected. I remember how hot the first one was and this book was equally as hot. But it had a more emotional touch that was missing from the first book. I was so happy to see Chiaki and Rokuda get their HEA and to see how they supported and encouraged one another to be their best self.
If you're looking for a quick read with BDSM, some darkness and a HEA, definitely pick up this series.

I love the sequel. The ending was great, I love the conflict between the two main characters, especially that part where both were conflicted internally, and rightfully so. This was more memorable than the first book. The sex scenes are hot and commendable.
Overall, I would read again, and I would tell you to give this a go, too. Perfect for those who want a quick hot read. Something to get your undergarments a little drenched lol

Much better than Book 1, where there was too much non-con and the BDSM wasn't anything like what should happen in a BDSM relationship.
Here, Chiaki and Roduka got to shine. Their chemistry was real. Everything they did together was consensual and Chiaki got to learn about his true submissive nature. A great story, if you can push through the bad beginning of book 1.

I think this was one of my favorites from this author. My only complaint was

This was much better then the first one because there was no more dub-con or any mention of human trafficing which I really appreciate.
It was sweet and hot at the same time, I love the way Rokunda treat Chaiki.
It's kind of insta love but it's yaoi so that was expected.
Epilog was lovely.

Told in dual POV, 3rd person, it’s the second installment in the Innocent Pet series and should be read in order. It’s low on angst, insta-love, and a bit sweet with a BDSM theme. Overall, it was an ok read, and hope you enjoy it more than me!
