Montgomery Family #2

Changing Perspectives

Rate this book
Angelina Montgomery’s biggest worries were graduating her Master’s degree program and finding time for a social life. The voluptuous brunette crooned sweet love songs to the crowds of the Cowboy Saloon every weekend, but hadn’t been on a date in almost a year. When flowers and gifts started arriving at her door from a secret admirer she was initially flattered. But when her car was broken into that inclination changed to fear.
Retired Army Ranger Luiz Hernandez was one of Omega Team’s top agents. His Cuban heritage and scared visage made him the perfect man to infiltrate South American drug cartels. So why the hell were Grey and Athena sending him to babysit a co-ed with a stalker? He didn’t want the assignment, but he would do his duty.
That duty changed when he set eyes on Angelina, and he had a new mission…capture her heart.
Nothing would stand in the way of a Ranger and his goal. Not age, emotional baggage, and certainly not a mad man hiding in the shadows.

My best friend calls me “her Fairy Godmother,” but I feel more like Cinderella. After over twenty-five years of living a typical life, I now live my dreams and I create them too.

Nothing is better than creating a brand new world from a blank piece of paper. Breathing life into characters and watching their stories unfold—I am truly blessed.

I live in on eight acres in middle Tennessee with my husband, my son, two dogs and four cats. I am privileged to have two precious grandsons.

When I’m not on my computer or reading my kindle, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen. I love to cook! If I’m not there, I’m on the fields, watching my grandsons’ soccer or baseball games.

It’s never too late to chase your dreams. I’m proof you can catch them, even if arthritis slows you down. Who knows, your own Fairy Godmother may be just a dream away.

I've read a few of this authors books but this is definitely my favourite.

Angelina is working hard on her Masters degree. To get by she sings at Cowboy Saloon. She loves what she does. A secret admirer sending her flowers changes her flattery to fear when the stalker ups his game. Angelinas step-dad calls on the Omega team to protect her and find her stalker.

This was a really great read. Although a short read it was a complete read. Great storyline had me glued from start to finish. It had hot sexy scenes mixed with the mystery of who the stalker is. I absolutely loved this flawless read. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Changing Perspectives is the second book in the Montgomery Family series. Don’t worry, it can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest reading the first book if you loved this one. I won’t tell you what it is about because I love surprising people. This book tells the story of Angelina, the daughter of a woman that just got her second chance at love with a NAVY doctor. Her daughter is in a double Master program and while her scholarship covers most of her expenses, she still sings at two bars in town to pay for her living expenses. I am used to reading about wild girls getting into trouble or good girls at the wrong place and time. Nevertheless, I must confess this might be the first time I have read about a good girl being at the right time and place and still getting in trouble. Angelina is a sweet, mature, responsible, and intelligent young lady. Everyone on campus seems attracted to her either for her voice, looks, or personality. She has good grades, works hard at school, and makes a living for herself. Nevertheless, all those qualities added to the fact that she doesn’t waste her time with douchebags are what ignite the heart of a very creepy guy, who starts to believe Angelina is his alone. When flowers sent to her home turn into her usual drink at the bar and then into a rose inside her car, which was supposed to be locked, Angelina goes to the police and her parents for help. When the first doesn’t help, the latter will stop at nothing to have their girl safe and that includes hiring the OMEGA TEAM. The security service they provide goes from infiltration to bodyguard services and in no time Luiz and Duncan, two giant with very different personalities and stories appear at her doorstep. Nevertheless, protection might not be all she will be provided by one very hot ex-Ranger, Luiz Hernandez.
I must confess I loved Angelina’s personality. She is sweet, intelligent, mature, and kind. Nevertheless, she is also a little insecure about her looks, have a temper when it is called for, and shows a fragile side. I loved how everyone looked at her as if she was perfect, but the author presented how in her perfection also lied insecurities and even her fragile side hidden behind her bravery. She is a very strong girl for not running back to her family after her stalker seems to become more obsessed and dangerous than she first thought. I kind of admire her attitude. Luiz is quite something. After being a man used to watching desire and lust in the eyes of women, he can’t stand it when people look at his face with disgust or pity when they look at the scar on his face. He lost an eye during a mission with the Rangers and now it will mark him forever. At least in the eyes of the civilians, or so he thought. In Angelina he finds a soul that see past his scar and insecurities and sees the real thing. She sees the strong, loyal, and brave man he is, the one that got hurt in the line of duty and deserves to be thanked for his service to his country. I love it how this two characters don’t see in each other all their good points, but the other sees them so clearly and treasures them so much. It was truly touching. Also, it was fun to see them sneak past Duncan and Rico, Angelina’s security team from TEAM OMEGA, to have their sexy time together.
I wish that the stalker problem of our heroine had been explored a little more, maybe even in a different way. I felt that the story was more focused in the love development and the catching of the stalker was almost completely ignored. Another problem that I had was the grammar mistakes in some of the Spanish words and phrases said by Luiz. Someone who doesn’t know Spanish won’t be able to tell because they are minor, but otherwise they might be a little distracting. In my case, they made me lose my focus on the novel every time I came across one.
I highly recommend this book to those that enjoy a more less fast paced romance comedy with an adorable HEA.

The Omega Team: Changing Perspectives Kindle Worlds Novella
A Montgomery Family Novel Book 2
by Tamara Hoffa
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tamara Hoffa continues to surprised me with her books. I've read almost all of her series, so I expected to feel the same way with this one greatly entertained, but no she had to blown me away. I am so thrilled with this story, I found that I was unable to put this book down until I finished it. In her A Montgomery Family series she has raised the bar even higher, she has hit a stride that I know she will keeps up in her future books. I love the chemistry and the pull between Angelina and Luiz its so well done and it leaves you craving more. Tamara keeps you right on the edge of your seat without boring you, she really builds her characters so they have wonderful depth. Their attraction and relationship isn't forced for the sake of the story. The Omega Team: Changing Perspectives is another fantastically written novel. Luiz Hernandez is a gorgeous Retired Army Ranger, he is one of Omega Team’s top agents. His Cuban heritage and scared visage made him the perfect man to infiltrate South American drug cartels.. He constantly keeps you guessing his intentions and keeps his air of untouchable-ness while remaining likable at the same time. Tamara gives him some redeeming qualities, but she keeps him true to the initial character in that, at his core, he's quite the ruthless and cunning man. I was so glad that when we learned more about him she didn't completely transform him. I'm a sucker for a well done hero. Angelina Montgomery wanted to graduate with a Master degree and find sometime for a social life. Angelina is a voluptuous brunette who crooned sweet love songs to the crowds of the Cowboy Saloon every weekend, but hadn’t been on a date in almost a year. WOW and this is just the beginning! Even the supporting characters add a lot to the story as well and it was understandable and helped drive her characters development. I'd recommend this series to anyone who likes a strong and likable heroine, an irresistible alpha male and a plot full of twists and adventure. Can't wait to find out what happens next!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm a hopeless romantic and this book gave me romance and so much more. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book from Tamara Hoffa. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list

If you believe in the world of romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

OMG!!! I loved this book! I read it all in one sitting, I just could not put it down.

Tamara has a way with words that makes you sit up and take notice. I could not help but fall in love with both Luiz and Angelina. Both are such strong characters, beautifully written, and easy to become emotionally attached to.

This book had a little bit of almost everything. We had a wee bit of suspense, military appeal, romance, and of course some fun lovin' sexy bits. The story line was well written, the characters were so easy to fall in love with, the dialogue between the characters was engaging and easy to follow and the descriptions to details were done well and easy to visualize without being overly done.

All in all, I loved this read and can not wait for more!

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!

Would I read more from this author? Yes!!

Angelina is a college student, who has a stalker. Her step father is the Navy as a Dr, he calls in the Omega Group for protection for his daughter..... As a wife of a U.S. Marine Veteran I highly recommend this book....

Luiz is a Army Ranger veteran, who is scared from war, he is just one of the bodyguards for Angelina, he doesn't think any women would want him after his injury but Sparks fly between them they pages almost catches on fire with these two.

Angelina is a special women, she sees Luiz for who he is. I love her attitude with him she knows he is a Hero and shows him..... Angelina, shows Luiz the love and respect he wants, yes he is injured but that doesn't mean anything, the only thing it shows is what a Hero he truly is. I am so glad the way Angelina, was with him.

There is hot and steamy romance, action and suspense.... This was a great read get it today.....

I know that if you are like me and you read a lot of Tamara's books, then you are probably used to seeing her shifter stories. This book is definitely a change from that type of story, but a great change!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters were remarkably developed and I loved how they interacted with each other throughout the story!! I look forward to more stories like this one because Tamara has proven that she can write it all and I am one of her fans that will read anything she writes!!!

The Omega Team meets the Montgomery family, in the person of Angelina, grad student with a stalker. Luiz Hernandez of Omega is sent to act as bodyguard for Angelina - with a lot of grumbling. That is, until he sees her. They seem to fall for each other immediately, even with Duncan Flynn around as the other half of the guard team.

Not hard to figure out the bad guy here, but an OK story for the Omega Team.

Without a doubt, this is Ms. Hoffa's best book. For a novella, she's covered all the bases with tight writing, characters with distinct traits, and suspense. This being the second book in this series, it's worth a readers time to back up and snag the first novel. A great addition to Desiree's collection of Omega Team books. Really well done.

I received this book for free in exchange of a honest review as part of the Read It and Reap program ongoin in the Shut up & Read Group

I have you mention first of all that it turned out to be basically the opposite of my favourite kind of novels, starting with the genre. That's why on my own scale rate it gets 1 star.

PROs: It's fast paced, a stand alone story and a fast reading. Maybe if you're into the genre or into the series it looks better. The writing is good.

CONs (to me): I really really don't like love at first sight, especially if it starts based on physical attraction. I don't get the romantic feelings. The storyline and the antagonist are predictable. Really, I was hoping so much for a plot twist that I even started to ask for Angelina's brother or coworker or security details to be her stalker.

Luiz Hernandez mostly does undercover operations as a part of The Omega Team. He's back in Tampa after a long stint undercover. Luiz believes that his scars make him unattractive and draw unwanted attention to his pain. Luiz's next assignment is body guard duty which he wants nothing to do with period. Angelina Montgomerty is a hard working college student that doesn't have time for partying and boyfriends. Angelina full expects to graduate this semester. There's just one problem Angelina is being stalked by someone. Angelina doesn't have a clue who it could be that's stalking her. Angelina's stepfather calls The Omega Team for their help much to Angelina's dismay. Angelina's dismay turns into lust upon looking at Luis for the first time. Can Angelina keep her feelings under wraps? Will Luiz accept his scars? Who's Angelina's stalker? Your answers await you in Changing Perspectives.

I'm really liking The Omega Team World. I like that each story is selfcontained and complete. The characters and story are raw, gritty, real, honest, heartfelt, and complex. I look forward to my next adventure in this world.

Changing Perspectives is the second book in the Montgomery Family novels series of books. This book is about Angela, also known as Angie, and Luiz Hernandez. This book starts out with Angie getting some flowers from a secret admirer, but she doesn’t think too much about it until at the club where she sings, her secret admirer sends over her favorite drink without having to ask the bartender what it is. Then Angie comes out to her car and finds it broken into a note and a rose left in there. This causes Angie to call the police, but there is not much they can do with no real evidence to go on. This upsets Angie’s stepfather and he decides to get her private protection from the Omega Team. The Omega Team is a company that does undercover work, as well as private body guard protection services, and all of the employees are ex-military so they are very good at their work. This is what sends Luiz into Angie’s life. Luiz is scarred from an explosion that took his eye and left him feeling very ugly and scary to everyone. Angie does not feel that way and quickly makes Luiz want to stop bring protective because it’s his job and instead because he is starting to care for her.

This book is really good. WARNING: The book has some very explicit sex scenes so I would recommend this book for mature readers. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romances with some suspense mixed in. The characters were well developed and draw the reader into the story very quickly. This book is short but packs a punch. The main reason I am giving this book 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was over too fast. I would give it 4.5 if that was possible.

I’m giving this book 4 hearts

Omega Team: Changing Perspectives by Tamara Hoffa is a fairly quick read, a great choice for those with limited reading time. Ms Hoffa has once again delivered a well-written book. I adore the characters in this story. Luiz and Angelina's tale is full of suspense, humor, a bit of action and and of course, smokin' hot sexy bits. I enjoyed reading Changing Perspectives and look forward to my next Tamara Hoffa book. Changing Perspectives is part of the Omega Team Kindle World but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
