Two steamy quickies to get your blood pumping in all the right areas. It left me wanting to read more about the two couples & their desires....... What would come next...... What happen before to bring them to this place...... When will it happen again........ More please!
I received a FREE copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just a sampling of a new author’s writing. And you know what? It was pretty darn tasty.
DISCLAIMER: This book consists of only two erotic scenes, so I’m gonna keep my review short(ish) and not consider plot or storyline.
What I loved:
The first scene.
It was hot. The steamy, sizzling, careful-you-don’t-burn-yourself type of hot. Not to mention, Stone made a serious impact in just a few pages. The atmosphere. The jealousy. The tension. The desire. The dynamic between husband and wife. I felt and believed it all.
My favorite thing about Stone is that she never tried too hard. Nothing was over-the-top. The dialogue was simple. The narrative was succinct. And I thought both were very effective. Here’s a prime example:
Yeah, it totally worked for me.
What left me wanting:
The second scene.
I had trouble connecting with Scott and Rachel. Their chemistry felt a bit wooden and forced to me. Even though it was double the length (pun kinda intended haha!), I won’t say too much since it was a bonus story anyway.
As a whole, there were quite a few issues with punctuation, as well as tense. We switch from to in the next sentence. Then to “she approves” and “Scott wobbles”. Then back to “she undressed” and “Rachel gasped” again. That being said, a quick edit would fix all these errors.
Overall, I think Stone definitely has some potential. I look forward to reading her future releases.
Final thoughts:
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a couple quickies full of hot sex. Personally, I’ll be keeping my eye on this new author.
Rachel and Scott are a Married couple that enjoy themselves. Stranger is and extension form Crossing the line where the two expand on their boundaries and add a third in to the mix.
To be honest:
The book was a quick and dirty read. Stranger is and add-on to Crossing the line is the second short story in a sears of shorts for this married couple. I wouldn’t consider this a book again because it’s the length. Is is only one chapter and is very quick. I would say that is a short story in series. The story was hot and the characters seem to developed more as we find out more about them. I am looking to see where Liberty Stone takes these characters in the future.
Overall rating: 4 Story quality: 3.5 Steam under the collar: 3.5 Character development: 3
The story gets and Over all 4 because it was well written; however, I just wish there was more to it. Because the story was so short I didn’t relay get a chance to connect with the characters and it left me wanting to know more. Over all I think that we can expect more form Liberty and these two characters.
I always give honest review and I want to thank you Liberty Stone for the free copy of your books for my honest review! Please go check out her other books!
