The minute handsome college student Wyatt Connelly laid eyes on Avery Reed at a Blake family gathering, it was love at first sight. She's smart, gorgeous, driven, and they're attending the same college in Texas. But the path to romance gets off to a rocky start when the Blake men warn him to stay away from their sweet and inexperienced niece. And to make matters worse, Tomcats quarterback Riley Sloane has been flirting shamelessly with her. Wyatt's trying his best to look out for her without crossing the line as he struggles with finding his own future career path. But watching Riley make a play for her is killing him. If Wyatt isn't careful, he might just lose the thing he wants most—the very person he's been waiting for...
Avery Reed can't figure out Wyatt Connelly. They'd grown close since attending school together, but Wyatt's sudden cold shoulder has her rethinking their relationship. The change leaves her confused and disappointed, so when quarterback Riley Sloane shows interest in her, she quickly develops a friendship with him. The sports star is fun, handsome, and successful, but she can't get her mind off a certain gorgeous, brooding college student who loves to tease her. As Avery gets ready to graduate college, she has to navigate passionate feelings and a complicated friendship headed into uncharted territory. Wyatt's certainly taking his time, but will she believe their love is worth the wait?
This was a sweet easy read story about coming of age. Avery Reed and Wyatt Connerly are at that point in their lives where they must decide what is the next step they will be taking in their lives after graduation, including their relationship. They've finally gotten the courage to admit their feelings for each other after their three year friendship. They are ready to take it to the next level and decided to date. Even with Wyatt's dormmate mate Kelly making the moves on him and raising Avery's hackles, and Riley making moves on Avery and raising Wyatt's hackles, they realize that they love each other.
The Blake family and friends are growing and changing. Bo and Summer finally get their wedding, Corbett has a new interest and so does Parker, Sam's sister and Riley Sloane. Their is even another wedding in the winds along with a mysterious positive pregnancy test stick that no one is claiming. I can't wait to find out how the family changes will happen in the next book.
It was always n the works for these two. Their story was not completely smooth sailing given the outrageous protective instinct Of The males of the family. Would have loved to see Kate get a rollicking from her father after he conttoned on to the fact that Avery was not your average black girl but one with the backing of the powerful Blame family.
As always I really enjoyed this book, I wish they were longer but I am not disappointed. Avery and Wyatt such a sweet romance...I just love reading about this family. I wonder who is pregnant? Miss Laurel thank you and looking forward to the next book. I recommend this book.
Worth the Wait (The Blame Boys Book 16) is a very good and sweet interracial romance that earned a rating of four stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romantic novels.
Wyatt and Avery are such a match...if only all love stories could start like this in real life. A cliff hanger of cliff hangers at the end of this one! Teri-Lyn will get to the bottom of this one and oh the laughs and tears on the horizon.
I enjoyed Wyatt and Avery's . Some of the time jumps were a bit jarring for me but overall I feel their story came together well. I would definitely recommend it.
