Meredith definitely drank too much last night. Why on earth else would she have woken up without her purse, and the distinct memory of giving her number to a stripper? So gross.
The good news is, she never has to see him again. Except to get her purse. And to discover she did another terrible, horrible, very bad thing while drunk- she accidentally became a professional penis photographer.
Rob wishes more people would believe him when he says he truly is stripping his way through journalism school. It's the only way Millennials can afford school with no student loans. When Meredith quite literally stumbles across his path, he's super smitten. Sadly, she is less so once she sobers up.
Can he trick her into dating him?
Can she trick her mother into thinking she has a respectable job?
And can anyone recover once the internet picks up their story? It's a long shot for both of them.

Time to toss those dollar bills in the air and make it rain as Kayti McGee introduces readers to a book hero that has all the right moves to make you blush. That’s right ladies, let me introduce you to Rob, the stripper.

#LongShot

In this laugh out loud, romantic comedy, Katyi McGee will have you giggling and panting in heat as this stripper strips his way into your heart right off the opening pages. When Meredith wakes up from a massive hangover, she gets an unexpected call from who else Rob, the stripper. Did Meredith actually give her number to a stripper? Y-E-S. And then to top it off, she accidentally leaves her purse at the strip club. As Meredith does the humiliating walk of shame to the strip club to retrieve her purse, who else would greet her. Of course, Rob.

photo c57a302afa7599632922bdcfc131df_zpstuvdkka4.gif “Sure, penis photography is unconventional, but isn’t stripping? She’s making money doing what she loves, which is a hell of a lot further ahead of me than I’d care to admit. I’m still taking my clothes off for horny bachelorette parties while she’s actually using her camera.”

Right off the initial meeting, Rob wanted Meredith. Something about her feisty personality called to him on a deeper level and also his little friend wanted to get acquainted with Meredith’s kitty. *wink.* Rob made no qualms about it. He wanted her and will stop at nothing to making Meredith his girlfriend.

Meredith is broke and her career in photography has hit a major bump and so she agrees to do a penis photo session for Rob’s roommate who is also stripper. His roommate needed "penis shots" in order to help build his portfolio in order to break into the porn industry. Meredith never thought she would be known as the DICK PHOTOGRAPHER but she needed the money. Well long story short, Meredith soon find herself taking penis photography and also tangled in the sheets with Rob. So will Meredith find herself in love with a stripper?

photo c57a302afa7599632922bdcfc131df_zpstuvdkka4.gif “Maybe it’s not so bad that I’ll be forever known as the chick who takes professional dick pics… because the girl who takes professional dick pics found her soulmate on the stage of a shady strip club.”

Long Shot was a fun, highly entertaining read!!!! Kayti McGee did an amazing job with the POVs of Meredith and Rob. Right off the bat, I absolutely adore these two. This book was ridiculously sexy, steamy and balls to the wall chock full of fun, banter, and cocks!!! So if you are in the mood for a love story that was a perfect blend of sweet, sexy, and dirty then this book is definitely for you. All there is left to say, cue in the song, T-Pain’s “I’m in love with a stripper.”

This book is ridiculous. Like ridickulous.
It's out of control.
It's funny.
It's witty.
It's its own brand of special.
I LOVED IT. I loved it for so many reasons, starting with the karaoke scene.

Kayti McGee writes silly and smart with flawless ease. Long Shot is as ridiculous as it is brilliant.

If you want a quick, weird, over the top, and hilarious read: look no further.

Krakens. Croissants. Penis Sweaters.

They were all in this book. Yes really.

First, I have to say that Kayti McGee makes me laugh. A lot. Enough that at least once, there will be a snort laugh that someone else notices (no sneaking these at work for me). Her writing is well constructed, her characters are realistic, and their internal dialog is hilarious. This one starts out with a bang, well, yes and no. And it goes from there.

What I enjoy most about McGee’s writing is that while it is funny, she still manages to tell a story, and one that has depth. A lot of romantic comedy lacks this, and it feels like you are watching a sitcom, that the characters are one dimensional and only exist for the payoff laugh. But in this, Meredith and Rob both have depth, personalities, wants, disappointments, and dreams that you can relate to.

I definitely knew where Meredith was coming from that she didn’t want to date a stripper, and I think a lot of us would feel the same way. I love that a lot of it comes from not being comfortable in that world, from feeling out of her element. That gives a charm to her and also lets the reader forget that maybe a stripper isn’t husband material.

Rob is trying to get through school without student loans. No easy goal, and he is close to pulling it off, which definitely gives you a glimpse into his character, as work and school, both full time, puts a drain on anyone…that he is able to manage tells you he is the kind of guy you want to get to know. And, just from this, it lets the reader understand what Meredith sees in him, and lets us believe that, stripper or not, there is more to Rob than immediately meets the eye…although, that isn’t bad either.

I adore how she falls into (onto?) the penis photography…but then takes it seriously. This came across as authentic. She is a photographer, she would take it seriously and want to do a good job.
I loved the interactions with Meredith and her family, especially grandma who you only meet electronically. They were supportive of her, as I think most families would be, in her situation. There was a little drama with her family, as some are more supportive than others, but isn’t that how it always is with families?

I highly recommend this book (although, as I mentioned, I do not recommend sneaking it at work). Kayti McGee is definitely a one-click author for me…and after Long Shot, I think she will be for you as well.

Did I mention there is a Kraken reference?

I really liked Rob, he was a good guy, “no. I’m trying to woo you. Is it working?” Meredith needs to learn there is a time and place for your fittings, and it's not when Rob is revved up and roaring to go, "unable to resist, I sneak a peek. “What the eff?” She’s got a goddamn Build-A-Bear outfit on my ***k, safety pins in her mouth. “Seriously?” I loved this book, it was really funny, I don't know who I liked more Rob or Meredith.

Strippers are people too damn it! Yes I said it and yes I mean that. Both male and female strippers are still people who are smart, who have degrees or are working towards one, and deserve to not be treated as less because of their jobs. Okay I know y’all think I have probably lost my damn mind but I promise I haven’t, well I probably have lost it a little bit but just trust me, read Long Shot and you will understand why I am saying this.

Meredith meets Rob during a drunken night at the strip club, one she barely remembers after all the drinks she had and she is horrified that she *gasp* gave her number to a stripper. I know the horror right? (Are you feeling the sarcasm coming through right now?) Meredith is an out of work photographer who is living with her sister and her family. So she has every single right to be judgmental, well I mean at least she isn’t a stripper right?

Rob may be a stripper but he is also a journalism major working on finishing up his degree. He is stripping to pay his way through college so he doesn’t have any student loans when he graduates. He is instantly enamored with Meredith and made it his mission to get her to date him. Rob is sweet, funny, sexy and supportive of Meredith when she becomes a penis photographer (let that one sink in for a moment). He is proud of her and wants her to stop thinking he is just a stripper, but someone who is sweet, falling in love with her, and is worthy of her. Oh and his Kraken is pretty monsterous as well, you will understand the reference if you read the book.

So here is my dilemma, Long Shot is very funny, I would laugh so hard I would have tears in my eyes, but what took away from what I believe could be an amazing solid 5 star read, was Meredith. Her constant snide stripper comments just made her a very judgmental bitch. What made her job, a penis photographer mind you, better than Rob? Sit and think about that one for a moment. It wasn’t just Rob she was like that with, she was judgmental of an author and a teacher as well, so basically she is a prude who thinks she is better than anyone who likes to let go and have a little fun. Rob was the character that made this book, he went to such lengths to prove to Meredith he was so much more than a stripper, that he was a person who had dreams, made mistakes, and had feelings just like she did. Overall I did really like Long Shot, I just wish I would have been able to love it like I had wanted.

Oh, where to begin. I say this hesitantly, but it took a bit for me to like Rob. I must be extra judgemental today because he didn't come across as a potential journalist- stripper yes, journalist not so much. But then I thought about it and realized, I sound like an ass. The reason I'm sharing this is because I don't want you to be like me. Rob uses phrases that if it weren't for Urban Dictionary I never would have had a clue. He is definitely a naughty, filthy talking man. Of course he is, his job definitely has its benefits...

Meredith was definitely more judgemental than me. She was harder to turn to the dark side of the pole...(sorry really bad attempt at a Star Wars joke) As a new niche photographer, Meredith will have to trade her pride for money and her judgemental attitude for work.

It's fun, ridiculous and everything you expect from a Kayti McGee book. (BTW, Kayti if you see this- I'd love to know how Grandma feels about your awesome books.) Filthy fun, bad decisions, and alcohol...my kind of story or just another night for Meredith.

See if you can catch the shameless Laurelin McGee plug...Logan O'Toole and some other awesome surprise visitors. The crossovers made my freaking face hurt from smiling.

Love the Long Shot...maybe a little more oil for reflection...Yeah ,I won't quit my day job. Leave the pics to Meredith, the books to Kayti, and I'll just tell you my thoughts.

Read it!

Insanely ridiculous in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY! Kayti McGee had me in stitches the whole way through! Seriously...every single page had me laughing so hard! There were tears people...TEARS from laughing SO DAMN HARD! I have no idea how she does it, but Ms. McGee takes romantic comedy to the next level!

Let's start with Meredith...

"Goddammit." ... "I can't believe I offered to take professional dick pics. What is my life?"

This woman cannot catch a break! It's like her life is a constant hangover. It's so freaking hilarious! She is sarcastic and has this dry humor that is so amusing. She hates everyone and everything. She wants her old life back, with her own apartment and an actual career...not to be bunking up in her sister's spare room and taking professional peen pics for strippers...meanwhile, trying to stay clear of the stripper that wants her in his bed ASAP! It's the definition of a clusterfuck!

Next up is Rob the stripper...

"I'm sorry if I was kind of bitchy."

"Kind of?" She kicks me under the table. "I'm kidding! I'm kidding! You were, of course, a raging bitch. But you're cute, and I'll allow it."

OMG! This dude! I loved him to death! He wants Meredith and he does not hesitate to tell anyone who will listen. He is just a normal dude, stripping to be debt free when he finishes school. He tries every trick in the book to get to every base with Meredith, even though she is completely hung up about his current profession. He plans on winning her over with his charm and with his professional outlook. In the meantime, he becomes Meredith's cheerleader when it comes to making bank from her booming freelance dick pic business. Can you see the ridiculousness of it all yet? Ha! I thought so!

Together, these two will have you busting a gut and singing their praises from the very beginning. The laughter...the sex...the extremely hilarious and ridiculous banter...it DOES NOT STOP! You are always guaranteed a good time when Kayti McGee's name is on the book cover!

"Hey Rob?" ... "Wanna do it?"

"I thought you'd never ask."

THIS! So much of this! Fighting...fucking...teasing! The fun NEVER ends!

Imagine you are out having the time of your life at a strip club and drinking away , then you wake up the next morning with no recollection of what happened the night before and a massive hangover. That's what has happened to Meredith who is currently living with her sister after a failed relationship and a career choice that hasn't exactly been taking off for her as a photographer. From the first page, Kayti McGee will have readers chuckling in the same sense that Meghan Quinn does her readers, as I find the two authors similar and are my top two favourites at Romantic Comedy. We discover Meredith as left her purse at the strip club and heads to meet Rob who is a part-time stripper while putting himself through college. During the night before Meredith had promised to take photos of his roommate for his portfolio - seems innocent at first until she discovers he is a porn model and wants quality penis pics. What starts off as a one-off will soon have her taking plenty of photos in this field and even to the point of using her knitting and sewing skills and making cute penis outfits and snap snap snapping. It's making good money for Meredith but she wants to be taken more seriously as a photographer and definitely didn't see dating a stripper and being a penis photographer in her future plan. What happens though when she starts to fall for Rob and he goes behind her back to showcase her work to the world and it turns up going viral ? Can she forgive Rob seeing as now the whole world sees her as Meredith - Penis Photographer and quite possibly the laughing stock of the photography world. The other thing I loved is that characters from the previous books including Topped all show up in Long Shot as friends . If you are looking for a book to make you laugh, then check out Kayti McGee's new read "Long Shot".

I have mixed feelings on this book. There are parts that I really enjoyed and there are parts that I could have done without.

Kayti McGee does write some interesting characters. However, I had a really hard time connecting to Meredith and Rob. Honestly, I truly didn’t care for Meredith and til about the 60% mark, Rob came across as a total tool to me. After that, Rob did redeem himself and actually that’s where the book got it’s higher ranking of a 3 from me.

The beginning was just too cheesy for me. While I did enjoy Meredith’s inner dialogue, she came across as too much of a snob and bitchy. Now Meredith’s sister, Jane, I loved her. She made me laugh – a lot!

The interactions between the characters kept the antics going (sometimes a little over the top). The banter between Meredith and Rob, while at times made me roll my eyes, definitely helped keep the heat between them.

Did I love this book, not so much. Will I read another of Kayti’s books, absolutely. While this one may not have blown my socks off, it wasn’t enough to deter me away from others.

Read it for yourself and see what you think.

Definitely better than the other books by this author, it is very funny. Yes, there's some general silliness, but because it is expected this time, it didn't seem so ridiculous.

In fact, it's really sweet.

However, (eye roll) it's yet another in-love-with-a-male-stripper story, but the angle is refreshing. I love Rob the stripper, clueless male that he is. He is absolutely, endearingly cute.

Meredith is a relatable chick who is a tad bit uptight, but the author wrote her so that the reader could empathize with her. In fact, I can't help but understand both character's plights.

It was a fast an enjoyable read.

Review: Jesus! What a crazy,laugh-out-loud-funny book! This is the third book of Kayti McGee's that I've read, and its the best!Meredith is a struggling photographer, without a job and a place to stay. She is currently staying with her sister, Jane(whom we've met in UnderCovers and Topped). She meets Rob, the stripper at the Meow Club, when she and her sister go out there for a night of fun.She ends up receiving a lap dance from him and gives him her number.

Rob is a journalism student who is trying his best to graduate without student loans and stripping helps do that.He knows that he wants Meredith from the moment he lays eyes on her. They have fun at the Meow Club and she even agrees to photograph his friend(and roommate)-Peter's dick as he is trying to enter the porn industry.Too bad, Meredith wants nothing do with him the next morning when she is sober.

But Rob is not one to give up.He relentlessly pursues Merie and charms his way into her life.Meredith also needs money and though she is hesistant to photograph dicks in the beginning, she manages to agree to it.She does it well and turns it into an artform(literally!)She is also attracted to Rob and as they start spending more and more time together their relationship takes off.Meredith also starts getting a lot of recognition for her talent(of taking dick pics :P).Though she is mortified by this, she still enjoys doing it and she even starts knitting different costumes for dicks! LOL!

But, what will happen if her family found out about her current job?And is she really comfortable dating a stripper? Will Rob be able to convince her to take a chance on him or will he end up with a broken heart?

I loved the characters in this book. Both Meredith and Rob had their own sets of flaws.Merie was judgmental and a little rude in the beginning.Though, Rob was sweet, he didn't fully think about the consequences of his actions.I loved how he tricked Meredith into going on dates with him and eventually got her to be his girlfriend. The supporting cast-Jane, her husband and the Meow Club friends also added to the hilarity. It was great seeing Miranda,Joe,Melissa and Spence again.

So guys, if you're looking for a romantic comedy with perfect amounts of steam and humor that will leave you simultaneously gasping with laughter and fanning yourself, go for this one!Trust me you'll love it!! :D
P.S.Also, in real life there is a woman called Soraya Doolbaz who actually takes professional dick pics and creates different costumes for them. You can find out more about her and her photography here.

It's hard not to keep a smirk off my face when I think of Long Shot, Kayti McGee makes it really hard not to picture peens all dressed up in crochet costumes. OMG!!! This will hopefully be the only time I write the words peen, dicks, penis, and wieners in a review, it is so worth letting my guard down when it comes to McGee's hilarious story of a respectable woman becoming a penis photographer.

Meredith Watson is a aspiring photographer who is not on the path that she expected, she lives in her sister's spare bedroom and has not been able to find a job. A night out at a strip club will sure add some excitement to her life. Meredith wakes up the next day not remembering to much of last night, all she wants to do is find her purse. The hot bartender at the club where she left her purse at is all to happy to remind her of her night and the job she accepted, to photograph his co-worker and best friend Peter's penis for his portfolio. This soon leads Meredith into her new profession as a penis photographer. Meredith is a little uptight and dating a stripper or taking pictures of peens was something she could never have imagined for herself. Will Meredith be able to handle the way others look at her if her new profession and boyfriend's occupation are ever revealed?

Rob Callas is a stripper who is dancing his way to becoming a journalist, wanting to graduate debt-free. It is so easy to fall in love with Rob not only does his smile blind you, he is not willing to give up on what he wants. He is so funny, charming, smart and puts forth the best effort in trying to be a great boyfriend. The moment Rob danced his way onto Meredith's lap he knew she was the one for him. Rob helps Meredith with taking on photo sessions with other strippers from the club. He is so proud of how dedicated she is to her profession, Rob would love for everyone to know that the women he is in love with is a great photographer. Will Rob work his way into Meredith's heart or will his occupation be what destroys their chance as a couple?

Long Shot is such a great fun read that will keep a smile on your face. I maybe a Meredith and have a serious side to me, but reading McGee's story had me imagining dressed up d*cks everywhere. In all seriousness, this is a story of a penis photographer but it's also a story of letting go of what everyone thinks about you. Working towards what you love even if you have to strip or take pics of peens to get there. This is a hilarious romantic comedy that will keep you blushing. 5 Stars

3.5 CROWNS

Long shot is my first solo novel by Kayti McGee, and if I had to sum it up in a couple words it would be cute, funny, and heartwarming.

This story follows the crazy antics of Meredith and Rob as the navigate their relationship with jobs that others may frown upon. Both of these characters are a little crazy, in the good kind way, and they made me laugh so much during the book. I like Meredith’s development as a character. Seeing her move from being so focused on everyone else’s concerns to letting go a little bit was fun to watch. But Rob really stole the show for me with his unending dedication to woo Meredith. Getting her to date him, watching him support her, and making his apology are some of my favorite scenes from the whole book. I loved that he was sweet and so proud of her.

Although I liked them as characters, there were times that I became bothered by some of their behavior. Several times I face-palmed and muttered why would you do that? Why would you say that? This often pulled me out of the story. I did enjoy watching their courtship. It is sweet and cute, but again, the antics of Meredith and her embarrassment got to be a little too much for me. I think mainly because I really liked Rob, and I didn’t like her inner-dialogue about him.

Now the ending of this story bumped up the rating for me a little bit. This ending is exactly what I was looking for and what I love about romance. It is sweet and wonderful and romantic, and I even went back to re-read it again because it left me with that happy glow after reading a good book. I just wish it would have been that way for the whole story for me.

So, would I recommend this book to others? Absolutely! It is hilarious and sweetly romantic, and it has a good plot-line and likable characters, but ultimately, for me, I just didn’t connect with them, which has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the story. So if you want a light, fun quick, romantic comedy, definitely check out this newest book from Kayti McGee!

description

A stripper and a penis photographer walk into a bar...no, that's not a joke, it's actually a scene from this book!! Seriously though, I had no idea what this book was about when I started reading and it definitely took me by surprise. The premise is so ridiculous that it makes it absolutely hilarious.
Rob Callas is a stripping his way through college so he can graduate debt free with a journalism degree. Meredith Watson is a photographer. She also happens to be out of work and living in her sister's spare bedroom while searching for a job. Meredith can't believe that she consumed enough alcohol to not only give a stripper her phone number, but to also become a penis photographer! Rob is smitten and he's willing to do whatever it takes to keep Meredith. Meredith, on the other hand, just can't believe she's dating a stripper and will do anything to make sure no one finds out about her new job.
I found Rob to be endearing. He was charming, funny, driven, and super sweet. It was beyond obvious how much he cared for Meredith. He was a bit blind to reality at times but he was a good man who wanted to make something of himself. Meredith was a little harder for me to connect with. She had many wonderful characteristics such as her creativity, wit, and sincerity. The problem I had with her was her hang up with Rob's profession. She was constantly bringing up the fact that he was a stripper and not because she was jealous of other women seeing him but because she was embarrassed. That made me so sad for Rob. It was clear that she could see that he was so much more than "just a stripper", but it seemed to be a huge focus for her anyway.
As a couple, it was hard to deny that Rob and Meredith had explosive chemistry. Rob totally worked for his chance to be with her. It was really cute. He didn't let her deter him from winning her over. Their courtship with filled with a lot of laughs, quite a bit of alcohol, and a ton of steam.
I really enjoyed Kayti McGee's writing style. It was fast paced, engaging, laugh-out-loud funny, and had the perfect amount drama thrown in. I am a huge fan of romantic comedies and will definitely be going back to read more from her.

Oh man! What can I say about Long Shot? First, I love Kayti McGee and her hilarious and hot books! I always get a thrill whenever I crack one of these babies open. I know that there will be laughs, and ridiculousness, and crazy scenarios that only Kayti can come up with! I know her characters, in this case Meredith and Rob, will charm me and make me squirm during the hot scenes. And let me tell you, Long Shot did not disappoint! It hit that high bar that Kayti has set with UnderCovers and Topped.

One of the things I love most about Long Shot is that Rob is completely infatuated with Meredith from the get go and he was sweet and adorable while still being sexy AF. Plus, it’s so refreshing to watch him doing the chasing, while she’s fighting her feelings. I like that Kayti flips the usual rom-com trope, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Meredith grow into her relationship with Rob.

Our little Fireball shooter has a bit of a chip on her shoulder due to her current unemployed status, and she can’t believe she’s even considering dating Rob, The Stripper. Luckily, Meredith sucks it up (haha! does she ever) and is willing to give in to Rob’s many many charms. So not only does Rob give her multiple orgasms, but he also helps set her up on this new career path … once she starts thinking outside the box. And so what if thinking outside the box involves dick pics and cute outfits!? No judgies! I loved watching Meredith become the Queen of what I can’t help but think of as the dick koozie!

Like any good romance, there will be some struggles and misunderstandings along the way for these two. I loved being inside their heads when they were dealing with the outcome of these events. I was reading so fast because I had to see if things would get resolved as I wanted them to! Did they? You need to 1-click this bad boy to find out! Long Shot has it all and then some!

P.S. One of my favorite things about reading a McGee novel is coming across the pop cultural references because Kayti is so on point, you guys. The line about the Lannisters filled me with glee.

If there was ever an author that I would want to go out with and have a crazy night on the town, it would be Kayti McGee. There would definitely be plenty of drinking games and strippers on the menu.

Long Shot is a story about what not to agree to while drunk at a strip club.

“Waking up to discover that you lost your shit and gave your number to a stripper and agreed to be a penis photographer is not exactly the definition of a good morning.”

Yes, you read that correctly. Meredith Watson, one drunken night at the Meow Club, offered her photography services to take pics of peens, wieners, dicks…. She also left behind a twenty dollar bill with her phone number and her purse.

Rob Callas, stripper, college student and future reporter, has the lucky twenty dollar bill Meredith shoved in his little pink hearts. He holds the ammunition (her purse) to bring Meredith back to the club and work his way into her life. First he has to convince her to up hold her pinky swear oath and take some peen pics of his stripper co-worker.

Meredith finds herself in a bind. She’s currently seeking a job and the money for the peen pics is just what she needs to get back on her feet. Well at least get her some nachos. She’s torn but sucks up her pride and takes the job.

Rob slowly sneaks into Meredith’s life, one date at a time. She’s embarrassed by his profession but they share a connection that she’s not ready to let go.

Meredith soon becomes the office Meow Club Peen Queen, she begins to like the job as long as she keeps her anonymity. Too bad Rob has a typical man, crazy idea to win her over. Men, they really are clueless.

Get ready to laugh out loud! Your imagination is in for a real treat. It's even inspired me to try my hand at crocheting. One last thought, Kayti how about a Long Shot picture book. 5 Stars!

“A penis photographer? Filth be damned, I lie back on the floor and put my hands over my eyes. What has my life become? ”

I mean, with a quote like this, aren't you hooked? This book is...something else. It certainly wasn't what I was expected. I went in blind and I was pleasantly surprised, in such a good way. Time to give my heart to the bartending stripper, Rob. Take all my dolla bills!

So Meredith wakes up from a night of partying too hard with her sister to discover that she has lost her purse. Not only has she lost her purse, but she has missed calls from an unknown number. That unknown number is from a STRIPPER. What has she done with her life?!? What she has done is given her number to a stripper, who has her purse, and promised to take beauty shots of his friends penis for an ungodly sum of money. Yes, you read that correctly. Penis. Beauty. Pictures. She's broke and beggars can't be choosers, can they?

The hilarity really takes off from there. There aren't too many books that have me literally laughing out loud, but this one did. The absurdity of the premise was amazing. I LOVED the banter and the characters. I mean, right off the bat they were amazing. And Meredith wasn't a a push-over, which is my favorite type of girl. One that doesn't take any gruff. And really, who doesn't love a good stripper to love story? I know I do.

I give this a solid 4.5 stars. It is worth the read. Stop by the ATM for some dollar bills for Rob and give it a try.

4 Stars

Kayti McGee went beyond her usual comedy/romance in Long Shot. The description alone grabbed me but it's just a taste of what the story is about. It's fun, flirty, and absolutely hilarious.

We've all been that girl who drinks a little too much on a night out with friends and maybe forgot your purse somewhere. Well, Meredith is that girl and can't remember much of her night of fun. She's an aspiring photographer and will do anything for her big break. Wait. Anything? What if during that drunken night she might have agreed to set up a photo shoot for a stripper who needs a portfolio for porn auditions. What if that stripper has a roommate who is also a stripper that can't get Meredith off of his mind. Rob will make sure that Meredith fulfills her commitment and in the meantime, will do whatever it takes to win her over.

If only Meredith can get over the fact that Rob is a stripper. Can she look past his current profession and see what the future could hold? What will her mom say if she ever finds out.

The outrageous and ridiculousness of this story had me laughing out loud for most of the book. The supporting characters just brought the story full circle.

Grab a glass of wine or better yet a bottle and maybe a shot or two of Jameson and enjoy the insanely craziness of Long Shot.

Oh my goodness this book was so funny!!!! Right from the start the author has us laughing our butts off because if the predicament that Meredith has gotten herself into. It keeps going from there never lets up.

OMG Rob was the best hero I have read in a long time. Maybe because he was so dang funny! Like...... Magic Mike meets Seth Rogan lol he didn't stop! From his first POV I had tears running down my face I was laughing at his thoughts! The best thing was the getting her on dates!!!

Meredith got in my nerves a little because she couldn't get over the fact that he was a stripper. It was a little annoying that that's mainly what went through her head when she was with them no matter how different he was acting and he was such a sweetheart! Finally towards the second half she grew on me but in my eyes rob stole the show!

Stripper meets photographer and that's what you get when you read this book. It was hilarious heartwarming low on the angst and full of great weird humor.

Overall I would recommend this book to anybody that's looking for a more lighthearted read with tons of laughs. Being my first book by this author, I thought she did an amazing job the writing flow was great the timeline worked great for the characters and the ending was just amazing! 5 Stars! #2OCCJD

Soooooo now that I have that song I am in love with a Stripper playing on repeat in my head thanks to this book. I FLOVED it....FLOVED it so hard. Kayti always writes the best funny, sexy books. Meredith and Rob were quite the couple. Neither of them was very happy with the state of there current life, but somehow manage to come together and make it work. Meredith really thought she had her life figured out and knew what she wanted and did not want out of life. Insert one stripper, one drunken night, and one promise, and you will get Rob and Meredith's story. Rob is that annoying guy, the one who is HOT, Smart, and goal oriented. He knew what he wanted and went for it!!!
I mean the funny in this book is off the charts. How can you NOT want to read about a girl who accidentally starts taking Dick pics for a living. I read this book in one sitting because I just had to finish it. I will say I am disappointed there was no epilogue....I am a sucker for an epilogue!!!!!
Anyway this is a fantastic book that has both the funny and the sexy and all the in between.

Delirious with laughter!

OMG, did I just read that... Strippers & dick pics? Get ready to laugh your a$$ off! I was in hysterics laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Kayti outdid herself in this romantic comedy, full of outstanding humor, racy hot sex, lots of cocktails, & did I mention sinful strippers needing raunchy professional "dick pics"! Oh yes she went there, truly a laugh out loud story, that makes you want to remember all the funny as hell lines you can't believe she would write.
There is a fantastic story amongst all this humor, life altering changes, in growth, perspective, & humbling times for Meredith as she becomes tangled in a intoxicated moment with a stripper. Rob has the heart of a saint, and falls fast & hard for the monotonous girl who made a drunk promise but is desperate to regain her individual strength, find her career path & get her independence back. This will be fabulous re-read over & over for a great laugh along with a few mimosas. Cheers Kayti for this fantastic rom-com! -read by French Sparkle with Pop Fizz Clink Read

This book was entertaining! I enjoyed this quick & humorous read that had me turning the pages to see what shenanigans Meredith & Rob would be up to next. When I read a Kayti McGee story, I know it’s going to be fun, the characters will be likable, and I will thoroughly enjoy it from beginning to end. That was exactly the case with this one. Not only are the main characters witty & clever, the secondary characters are enjoyable as well.

This quirky story has plenty of humor and a good amount of steam that kept me interested and wanting more. I am a fan of this author’s writing style and look forward to reading more from her.

I recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a quick & fun read that doesn’t require a lot of deep thinking and will definitely bring out the laughs.

I must say I love that I try and know nothing about a book before I read it. I love that I knew nothing walking into this book. This book was truly hilarious. It had me laughing and connecting with the realism of the characters. Meredith was so real and hilarious. And I love Rob, he's the alpha who knows how to laugh and enjoy life. If your looking for a funny light read that throws in romance and real life, this book is for you. I recommend this book because it was truly an all around wonderful book. The author knows how to transition from humorous to seriousness. I love how the book flowed and really kept you happy and wanting to know what happens next. *Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood*

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

OMG! I haven't laughed like this in a while. It was just the perfect thing I needed to get me out of the darkness that I had been reading.
Penis sweaters! HAHAHAHA! I can't stop giggling over that even now and it's been almost week since I read this.
I was hooked right from the start. I just had to see if Meredith ended up with the stripper. The storyline took a turn from where I thought it was heading but hey, I enjoyed even more because of that.
I didn't read the previous two books and didn't at all feel like I was missing anything so this is a true standalone in that sense. I did, however, one-click them and plan on delving into those soon. I'm a book whore after all.

I'm the only one who thinks some details are missing? I'm not quit sure if I will finish this book. It really sounds good but there are plot holes I can't ignore.
