This is a different story line I didn't expect! I don't know if I like being told what to do ! I will have to read the other books to see how I feel about this type of relationship!
Unfortunately "Deep" was a miss in my book. Yes, it's a novella, but there is no real storyline happening. The characters were interesting enough ... not enough to keep reading the novella series.
Surprised I Ndebele up liking this one. First bit of the book I started to put it down but I like Jordan so I hung in. Ended up pretty good by end of book one!
I am giving this installment a 2.5 star rating. This is the story of Quinn. She was in a relationship with her ex for 13 years. During those years she lost herself in the relationship while trying to maintain it. She changed her thinking, her image, and attitude so he can stay but he left anyway.
Quinn was quick to recover and regain herself. She decided to go on a singles adventure for a week. She wanted to try something new and not just jump into another relationship. There she met Ethan. Ethan made her feel good. He noticed "her" and he wanted "her", not an image of what he wanted.
They were attracted to each other and decided to sleep together that first night. During that encounter Ethan tied Quinn up and had her experience something out of her comfort zone. Just from that Ethan has proposed that Quinn let him take control of her for the rest of the trip. He wants to push her knowing that she will like it.
This story did not pull me in. I don't see a plot and believe this week go nowhere. I like for women characters to do something new but not against their better judgement. There were times in the story where red flags were raised but since she was horny she went along with what Ethan was doing. That makes her somewhat stupid in my book. My interest declined.
I didn't like Ethan's character either. I didn't like when he assumed that Quinn had thought about being tied up and would like it. Ethan is also pushy. I didn't like how after she wanted to stop he was still trying to get her to continue without exclamation, except trust him and that she wants to continue. I didn't truly see Ethan as a dominant. Him liking to be in control could mean anything. He could abuse her. The author tried to make Ethan's proposal sound like he was experienced, but my first impression was that he was trying things out.
I don't see this story progressing to anything that I would be interested in. I can't honestly say that I would recommend this
How can she put up with all the controlling borderline abusive relationship crap from a guy she knows nothing about? And knowing he's done it every time he's been on these trips and still going along with it? She's obviously not the brightest. It was an ok read but not something I'm compelled to finish the series of.
What I liked most about the story is that she gets to the point. It is a sexy thrilling book that draws me in and left me wanting more. And Quinn, I just kept thinking the whole time please let him be the one for her.
Since her marriage was a very huge error, waisting about 10 years of her life, Quinn is looking for something different and new, but is she preared to what Ethan has to offer to her?
Lucia hasn't let me down yet. She's an amazing storyteller and she always busy the H in HOT! If your looking for sizzling romance with amazing characters her books are for you. Can't wait to see what happens next between Ethan and Quinn.
