What a story! Donovan returns to her world of dragon shifters with a vengeance, taking readers on a hot and exciting ride with so many implications. I loved the cause and effect that you could see throughout along with the very fun story. I also enjoy how her entire dragon shifter world is starting to come together, creating a complex whole where we get to know the different clans and how they interact with one another. The entire dragon world is coming to life in a big way!

I love the indepth look at the medicalness of being a dragon shifter. The way that they look at the dual parts of the brain was fascinating and really opened up a lot of possibilities. It was so vivid and yet technical, but also easy to understand. The mix was fantastic.

On top of all of that, this novel is really set off by the fantastic characters that Donovan has created. Both Sid & Gregor's pasts are enough to break your heart, but their willingness to do anything and everything to be together was fantastic. And the chemistry between them? It definitely sizzles and is so easy to understand.

Donovan's books are ones that you simply can't put down. This was by far and wide my favorite yet.

If you don't know who Sid is, then you need to go to the first book in the series and start reading as she has been integral in each story so far and you are totally missing out on foundational backstory and TONS of entertainment! I was so excited that Sid was finally getting her story told so we could find out how she lost her dragon and I was absolutely not disappointed one bit!!! There is some spice as in all the books, but this book was very plot heavy and I am here to say it was absolutely fantastic! Such a fun and emotional read!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received the ebook from the author for an honest review

The cover is steamy quite literally, but really I think I love all Jessie’s covers!

This is the 8th Stonefire Dragon book. I highly recommend reading all 7 books in Stonefire’s series in order as well as the first 3 Lochguard books before reading this one. It is not that you won’t be able to understand, but you will be depriving yourself of a much richer story by doing so. This is of course for adults only due to the steamy content. Jessie Donovan is one of my favorite authors to read!

This is the long awaited story of Dr. Sid. It is awesome to finally have the whole story about her missing dragon. This story has plenty going on to keep you busy as well as many surprises that you won’t want to miss! I refuse to be the one who ruins the adventure for you though :)

I highly recommend this drag-nificent story to all dragon lovin’ shifter fans!

Loved this book! It may be my favourite so far! Dr Sid has helped so many of our favourite characters in the previous books, she deserved her own miracle and to find her mate!

I really enjoyed reading Sid & Gregor story. They both experienced such great losses in their life and the fact that Gregor got a second chance at love was really great. I especially like that we got to see how Sid lost and found her dragon and how to broken people finally let go of there fears and find comfort and love in each other. Overall a great read I can't wait to see what else is in store for this series. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a cute dragon shifter romance with engaging characters that I really was able to connect with. I can't imagine being a shifter and unable to connect with my shifter half. I loved that Sid was able to find that part of her again. This was the first by the author but I enjoyed it. While I read this one out of order I don't think that was a issue. I grabbed the first to go back and read them in order.

Gregor's dragon is not a fan of interruptions, "challenge the male and chase him away. Cassidy is ours. She wants us. We need to finish what we started." Sid sometimes has to tone her man down a peg or two, "she hit his chest. “No, we’re not having sex against a tree. There’s no time for that.” I loved this book.

WOW..... Jessie did it again. She wrote another fabulous story for us to get lost in. We finally see how Sid lost and found her dragon. We see how Dr. Innes helped her and they fell in love. Will things go smoothly? Will they find the cure for the recent attacks? What will happen next? Will Bram and Finn kill each other or get along? Will they succeed in there new goals?

I received this book as an ARC by the author for an honest review. Jessie Donovan has smashed another book out of the park. The story is great. It was well written and enthralling from start to finish. I could not put the book down once I started it. I love the dragons she writes about and cannot wait until the next book comes out.

DRAGOLICIOUSLY CUTE, SERIOUSLY SEXY AND DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING !!!
Title: Cured by the Dragon
Series: Stonefire Dragons
Author: Jessie Donovan
Designation: Book Eight of Series, Full-Length Standalone Novel(284 pages), NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: FIVE DRAGO-LICIOUS STARS*****
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I love it! Jessie Donovan has dazzled her fans yet again with Cured by the Dragon, a full-length standalone novel and eighth release in her bestselling Stonefire Dragons Series. I've been a diehard Jessie Donovan fan for several years and devour everything she writes. I adore fantasy, love paranormal romance, and totally enamored with dragon shifters, but put the three together and I'm in heaven! Jessie Donovan always gives me the perfect combination of all three and this book is no exception! Cured by the Dragon is an exciting, fast-paced, well-crafted, highly-imaginative paranormal tale filled to the brim with heart-pounding danger, heart-wrenching drama, heart-stopping action, spine-tingling suspense, steamy passion and heartwarming romance. Sigh.... So dreamy!

But I digress, let's talk about the elements of this story. The dialogue is smart, snappy, well executed, at times funny and flows effortlessly. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple points of view. The primary perspectives are from the two protagonists, beautiful, dedicated, strong-willed dragonwoman and senior Stonefire Clan doctor, Cassidy 'Sid' Jackson, and handsome, charismatic but stubborn dragonman and senior Lochguard Clan doctor, Gregor Innes. If those two names sound familiar, they should. Both of these characters have been popping up frequently in quite a few of Donovan's previous releases and most of Donovan's fans have been eagerly awaiting their story. I'd already fallen head over heels for these two stubborn, larger-than-life characters long before this book was released. I knew when Donovan finally told their story, it would be spectacular and indeed it was! Sid and Gregor were a perfect pairing and played off each other brilliantly. Their interaction was electric, their banter hilarious, their attraction undeniable, and their sexual chemistry was so hot it sizzled. The conversations these dragon shifters have in their heads with their dragons is outrageously funny and beyond entertaining. Interestingly, the dragon personas of Donovan's dragonshifters are not just a minor part of her stories but are separate entities with their own characteristics, voices, and opinions, and are just as important to the plot as their human counterparts. They take on a life of their own actually giving us two characters rather than one. I've never encountered another author who gives so much voice to the animal alter of each character. It's one of the things I love most about Donovan's stories. Which brings me to my favorite component of every Donovan story...the characters. They are unique, refreshing, engaging, endearing and at times, laugh-out-loud funny. Donovan is an exceptionally gifted storyteller who excels at creating unique, imaginative worlds and populating them with captivating characters who literally explode from the pages, grab your attention, engage your imagination and completely capture your heart. You can mention almost any character's name from any of Donovan's dragon series to a fellow fan and they will immediately be able to tell you who they are, to what clan they belong, whether they have a mate and if so, their name as well as their occupation and if they have any children. These characters have become family which is another thing I truly enjoy about Donovan's stories. The worlds of her series are interconnected and the characters regularly overlap so it's not unusual to see Lochguard characters making an appearance in a Stonefire story and Stonefire characters showing up in a Lochguard book. I loved seeing so many of our favorite characters in this story but Donovan also introduces several new characters. I can hardly wait to find out more about them. And we finally get to meet Dr Alice Darby, Evie's missing friend from Seducing the Dragon. It's just bloody brilliant which brings me to another point. Although this story is a full-length standalone novel with its own happy ending, there is a common underlying connected storyline running throughout Donovan's Stonefire and Lochguard series. Donovan always gives ample backstory in each book enabling a reader to easily follow along making it possible to enjoy each book as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading all the books of the series which will most definitely enrich your reading experience.

Dragonman Gregor Innes has been the senior doctor at Clan Lochguard for years and has no intention of making any changes. He's resigned himself to living out the rest of his life alone after losing his true mate and unborn child as a result of complications from pregnancy. Dragon pregnancies are always high risk for dragonwomen as well as human women. He refuses to be responsible for causing any more deaths by impregnating another female, and a mating frenzy between true mates always results in a pregnancy. So after arriving on Stonefire after their only doctor, Dr Cassidy Jackson, is attacked and injected with an unknown substance, no one is more surprised than Gregor upon realizing Sid is also his true mate. Oh dear! It's rare for a dragon to even find their true mate once in a lifetime but to find two is unheard of. Sid may be his true mate but he couldn't bear the heartache of losing someone else he loves. They can never be mated. Apparently, Gregor's randy dragon didn't get the memo and refuses to play by Gregor's rules. After all, some rules are meant to be broken, especially when dragons are involved. But will Gregor find a way to save Sid from the drug as well as from herself before he loses another opportunity to find happiness?

For years, the beautiful, dedicated and loyal Dr Cassidy 'Sid' Jackson has been not only the senior doctor but until recently, the only doctor for Clan Stonefire. She has dedicated her life to her clan, always putting the needs of others before her own, but time for Sid is quickly running out. Sid is a dragonwoman without a dragon. After a tragic accident at age fourteen in which Sid lost her only brother, she also lost her dragon as well...or so she thought. Now twenty-four years later, Sid has begun having crippling episodes accompanied by devastating headaches which will eventually result in her losing her mind. Sid had long ago resigned herself to a horrible fate... insane, tied to a bed, mateless, childless and dying very much alone. But Sid soon learns that a lot can change in only a few days. While out for a run on Stonefire, Sid is attacked by an unknown enemy and loses consciousness. A mysterious assailant has used a drone to fire some sort of wooden dart that injects the victim with some sort of drug that is harmful to dragonshifters. Stonefire Clan leader Bram Lewellyn-Moore has no choice but to reach out to Lochguard Clan leader Finn Stewart for assistance and that help arrives in the form of dragonman and Lochguard senior doctor, Gregor Innes. But once the charming but stubborn Lochguard doctor sets foot on Stonefire after the attack, it doesn't take long for fate to set the paths of Sid Jackson and Gregor Innes on a collision course that will drastically change two lives, turn two well-ordered worlds upside down, free an imprisoned dragon and once again unite two clans in the process. Can Sid find her dragon and save herself and her future by finding love with the charming but stubborn Dr Gregor Innes? We'll see!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! It gave me all the elements I enjoy most in a great book including danger, drama, action, adventure, suspense, romance and mind blowing sex. Would I recommend it? You bet and I am, but only for adult readers since it does contain some very cheeky dragonshifters, a little naughty language, and some steamy, dreamy love scenes. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Oh lawd yes! Completely entertained! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

A copy of this book was provided to me by the author with no expectations or requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

A dragon shifter without a dragon and a dragon mate afraid to love again, equals a heart felt story of pain, loss, passion, and above all love!

This is the 8th book in the Stonefire Dragon series and it features the courageous yet vulnerable Dr. Cassidy Jackson, better known as Sid, stonefires very own doctor who is very sassy and keeps her clan healthy and whole. And Dr. Gregor Innes, a Scottish doctor who is called upon when Dr Sid falls ill.

Sid lost her dragon when she was younger and suffers with that hollow, unfulfilled pain in silence until it can't be silenced any longer and a whole new pain and war develop within herself. Dr. Innes suffered his own loss when his mate and child died during childbirth for which he blames himself and therefore refuses to mate/love again.

I'm not really sure who needs who more, Sid or Gregory, but this was one emotionally packed book that was hard to put down. Jessie Donovan did an excellent job writing both these characters strong and weak traits.

Dr. Sid(Cassidy) lost her dragon at age 14. Now she has headaches caused by a loud banging sound in her head. She is afraid that she is going crazy. She is out for a run when she gets hit on the head and knocked unconscious. Dr Gregory Innes is called in to help out while Sid is ill.
Dr. Gregor has lost a mate and child before. So even though his dragon is telling him that Sid is also a true mate to them, he is leary. They both have reasons to fight a true mating between them. But when she was hit in the head, a sliver of wood with an unknown substance on it enters her system and makes her dragon come forward and the dragon is trying to take over for good.
There were three known cases of shifters having contact with the unknown substance. Sid and Gregor must work together with a few new characters while finding a cure for the aggressive dragons.
I enjoy the upbeat/funny attitude that Gregor has. He balances Sid's too serious side. I love the happy ever after ending with this couple. After everything that they have went through, it is deserved.

I have read ALL of Jessie Donovan's books that has to deal with dragons. This one did not disappoint at all. I loved Dr. Sid from the beginning I meet her. She is a strong independent woman that is more concerned about helping everyone and not herself. Dr. Innis was so concerned about everyone and not himself that it only made sense to have the two of them to be together. I loved them as a couple and I loved the fact that they learned about healing themselves from one another.

I want to know more about the new characters that we were introduced to in this book. Every time I think that there is nothing knew to learn something happens and I just get soooo excited. I cannot wait for this series and Lochguard to continue. Jessie is also going to be doing a spin-off series of a sorts about other dragons that we have not met yet. I really would like to meet American dragons. I think that would be an interesting thing.

Intriguing, exciting, and emotional!

Jessie Donovan knows how to develop her books to keep your interest so you keep saying one more chapter until you finish the book. I love this series of dragon-shifters. They are always so exciting, intriguing and have a sense of humor. The characters are amazing and unique. The Dragon-shifters are under attack by drones which are using chemicals to incite the dragon. Dr. Sid is one of the victims, and Dr. Innes from Scotland comes to help. There are other victims, and the battle is on to find the cure. I loved this book, and I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I did. Happy reading!

This book won me over in the end, there were times during the story that I was like dang this is dragging on. This book is something I would consider slow paced. Besides that I am very glad I finished this book.

Gregor? Bae. Absolutely. I love him. I have a soft spot for a charming Scottish man. He was just perfect all over. He protected her and then also understood when to not stand in her way? Excellent!

Sid? Beautifully written, the fights she had to go through with her dragon? I loved it all.

The story overall was very good, I enjoyed it. Very good read.

When we first met Sid all i wanted is to learn her story and through out the books this curiosity just got more and more and i knew i would absolutely love her book and her story and her..though i already loved Sid

Dr. Cassidy “Sid” Jackson’s inner dragon went silent over twenty years ago. Ever since, she’s battled episodes that have tested her sanity. Aware she doesn’t have much time left, she prepares for a new doctor to come to Stonefire and take her place. However, before the new doctor arrives, Sid is attacked.

These two are awesome together.Funny,witty,complete.
Reading this book felt like visiting with old friends....those two you had a long time to see but now that you are back its like not one day passed.
I love reading Jessie Donovan's books .Her world building is amazing and she never fails to intrig me with her plots and the twists and turns in every story.
You never know when the emotional rollercoaster will hit or the adrenaline rush will come or when you'll just snuggle the book and laugh with what is happening in its pages.
Once again a great addition to her series and a must must must must read book.

Sid’s Success

I’d been waiting for this one in the series for a while, as Sid, the dragon doctor who’d lost her ability to shift, was a character I’d grown to love. We’d also seen hints that Greg liked her in previous books.
As well as dealing with recovering her inner dragon, she has to deal with other dragons who have been poisoned, stealing their ability to shift.
This one is another fun read, with the right amount of romance, humour and dragon mischief. Good fun.

Brilliant Series

Cured by the Dragon (Stonefire British Dragons Book 8) by Jessie Donovan. Dragonwoman Dr Sid had looked after the Stonefire dragons for a long time. An accident when she was a child had buried her dragon and if she didn’t find it she would go mad. Dragonman Dr Gregor from Lochguard arrived at Stonefire to help with some ill dragons including Sid and the two knew they were fated mates but can it help Sid with her dragon.

Really good book!

This well written story is another great addition to this series. This storyline was filled with more emotional journeys than past stories. We experience this couple's coming together while dealing with some very hard issues. To me this story brought a deeper level of depth and dimension to this series. The characters are complex and interesting.

Sid and Gregor

I loved that both Sid and Gregor got their happily ever after. It was also nice to learn more about how Sid lost her Dragon only to be reunited with her. I was also happy to hear stone fire dragons were finally finding a cure for the drugs the Dragon hunters were using to hurt the dragons.

Each book in the dragon shifter series is so different. I'd have thought if you read one book in this series you'd have read them all. I have been delighted to discover that is not the case. Each book has a unique, intriguing plot and smart, feisty heroines and hot dragon shifters, be they male or female.

Cured by the Dragon is book eight in the series Stonefire British Dragons by author Jessie Donovan. This is a great read about courage, strength and faith. And of course the bad guys out there are still trying their evil shenanigans. If the clans can come together they just might be able to put a stop to it.
Enjoy!!
