This was a perfectly nice romance, but not anything more than that. I like Bryant as an author very much, but this book is my least favorite of hers. There was just something there that stopped me from connecting to the characters, the setting and the story.

The story itself, is not anything new. A woman inherits property from a relative. She goes there to sell it, but finds herself in love with the place and the people. Unfortunately, I have read this story quite a few times, just different settings. I was able to guess every single thing that happened, so nothing was actually new to me.

I have always wanted to visit Ireland, so I was excited about the setting. I can not really tell where the disconnect was but I could not really picture some of the places the characters went. A castle that didn't really look like a castle because it was new. Okay so what did it look like than? Then they went to a real old castle, again what did it look like? I just had to pull up a random castle from my memories.

When it came to the romance, it was pretty well done like all of Bryant's books. You could tell there was chemistry and a connection between the characters. The sex scenes were steamy. But towards the end of the book, there was just too many of them. It was just sex scene after sex scene, and I had to stop myself from skimming over them. Bryant should have just kept it to a few really well done intimate scenes and stopped there.

Even though this book was just okay for me, I think people will enjoy it. It was just missing that spark that I am use to in other Bryant books.

An ARC was given to me by BSB, for a honest review.

Forget Me Not is so delicious that I immediately read it again as soon as I finished listening to it, which I’ve never done before. It’s just that good. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, I highly recommend you pick this one up, especially if you like your romances on the steamier side. I’m so glad I finally found it and I’ll definitely be reading it again in the future.

Grace Danner a marketing executive from Dallas heads to Ireland to complete the sale of her great-aunt’s flower shop. Only meeting the aunt a handful of times she was left everything in the will. Grace arrives in Ireland to find a thriving business, an adorable rooftop apartment and a whole lot of amazing acquaintances. Grace is all work so even taking a week off to head across the pond is a hardship.

Kerry Mulligan is Grace’s real estate agent. This fiery redhead will gladly take the commission from the sale of Aunt Nola’s shop, but in her heart or hearts, she doesn’t want it sold. She’s conflicted about the loss of the shop to this tight-knit community. Add to the misery, her friends and sister-in-law will be out of work as soon as the deal is signed.

I had a few issues with this one. I felt like I was reading the same chapter later in the book time and time again. What makes this especially frustrating is you had a great premise, beautiful setting and enough heat from the two mains getting off on the wrong foot to have a fantastic story. As the book progressed, that story actually regressed. Once Grace and Kerry see each other’s naughty bits that’s all you have. Sex scene after sex scene. They were hot scenes don’t get me wrong, but that was it. Then you have a lack of depth in the plot, the dialogue, and the angst. The angst should be there, it should be there in spades, but it wasn’t, it was just flat.

Another issue was Grace Danner being a Texan. I despise Texas stereotypes because you always get the cowgirl bs. A female marketing executive that lives in a high rise condo in downtown Dallas does not walk around in Ariat boots every day. That is not her footwear of choice. Sure maybe if she goes to a western theme gala, but in jeans, work wear and in daily life, this is a big no. This would not happen, it doesn’t fit the look of the area at all. Now if you went over to Fort Worth, you may see more boots, if you went out to West Texas, that would be the footwear of choice for many, as those folks are real-life ranchers and live a western influenced lifestyle. You might as well say Grace rides her horse to town. Okay, maybe Grace Danner is the one Dallasite that does wear boots every day, but 99% of the rest of us do not. I’m getting down on off my over-sized Texan soap-box now.

Overall, the book had a good start, hot sexy time but was lacking depth and dialogue to make it really amazing. 2.5 stars

Sweet romance based mainly in Ireland between Kerry, an Irish real estate agent, and Grace, an advertising firm executive who inherits a flower shop in Ireland. All the elements of a typical romance novel are present: tricky first encounter, breathtaking chemistry, hot steamy sex and beautiful romance. It is a bit predictable but it just hits the right note all the way. You get what it says on the tin.

However, as an Irish resident for almost a decade (and married to an Irish "lassie"), my only concern is the accuracy of some of the author's statements about Ireland. For example, Irish DO call soccer as Americans do, to distinguish it from Gaelic football which is called football for short. Also, her descriptions of Irish weather are very optimistic even for April standards. But this is me being a bit picky and for the non-Irish readers is going to be irrelevant. In fairness, her landscape descriptions are beautiful and picturesque.

Overall, a very good read if you are looking for a sweet romance. 4 stars

I do have a genuine difficulty with Kris Bryant's book when it comes to cost (a lot) and length (not a lot.) Now, I know every writer has to make a buck, and I hope she does, cause the book is excellent and if I take the equation of cost out of it - I have it now so stop moaning - it's close to a must read!

I gave this 3.5 stars mainly because it is a very sweet romance but the story has been done in some way before. The idea wasn't new. I will say that this my first book by Bryant, but it won't be my last. She has an interesting and fluid writing style and her story telling is excellent.

The book is basically about Grace who has inherited her aunts shop and flat. She travels from her home in Dallas Texas to Ireland to settle her aunts affairs and sell the business. Enter estate agent Kerry who nearly runs her down before their first meeting. They end up falling in love. But Grace also falls in love with Ireland and it's people. Now I get that Ireland is a beautiful country and is totally under described in the book. It is a truly magical place and I feel that was lost in Bryant's descriptions.

It all ends on a good note. Grace takes heed of her aunts words and wisdom and moves to Ireland and everyone is really happy. I do love a happy ending but I'd guessed the ending before the ending happened.

Yes I would recommend this book. It is a nice light read and you can feel the happiness and welcome of the community.

Makes Me Swoon!!
Ad executive and workaholic Grace inherits a flower shop from her great aunt. The only problem is it’s in Ireland and she lives in Dallas. Thinking she can make a quick trip out of it and be back in a few days she leaves. Life however has other plans, mainly the gorgeous red headed real estate agent Kerry. The first meeting does NOT go well but before long they become unable to fight the attraction to each other. What happens when Grace can’t put off her return to Dallas and has to leave the woman of her dreams behind? Well if you are anything like me, massive crying will happen!!!

I ADORED this book!! It has SO MANY FEELS!!! I was laughing, and crying and totally in love with both women and SO wanted to BE Kerry!!!! Their chemistry is intense and the sex, WOW and OH SO YUMMY!!!! I may have actually moaned at some point… So, yeah… The story is wonderful, the settings are so real and amazing, the people are divine and even the descriptions of the food had my stomach growling. The relationship was so beautiful and loving and precious… This is one of the best Kris Bryant books I have had the pleasure to read! Thank you so much Ms Bryant!

I enjoyed the trip to Ireland, the familiar but fun cast of loveable small-town characters. There are, of course, no surprises in this. You know exactly what you are going to get when a 'working-too-much-and-unlucky-in-love-not-quite-at-home-at home' woman inherits property in a different part of world, and meets a really hot woman who is firmly rooted in that part of the world.
I picked it to read precisely because I wanted something soothing, gentle, not too exciting, but something to warm the heart and make me feel a fuzzy inside. But where I was hoping for a meeting of hearts and mind, the relationship is incredibly physical. There is a lot of sex. I love sex. I like reading about it. But somehow I found it boring here, and I was hoping for more of a story. They spend so much of their brief time together without any briefs (sorry...) that it is hard to see what else might keep them together.
It's well-written. It has some nice moments. It is not my favourite of this familiar trope. What was missing for me was the romance.

This book is so aptly named because i won’t be forgetting this novel anytime soon.

Grace has inherited her aunts flower shop in Ireland. The only problem with that is that Grace lives in the US. Grace arrives in Ireland to sort out her aunt’s affairs, sell the shop and flaunts with the idea that she can have a holiday romance with a local. Grace just doesn’t expect to fall in love with Ireland and one of its Irish lasses…

The main protagonists Grace and Kerry are meant to be together from the moment they meet and their relationship with one another is kismet from that moment on. Both characters felt very authentic and I could imagine these people in the real world – the problems they faced were real life issues that happen to people every day and that made this a more genuine experience. My favorite character would probably be Grace but I feel like that was probably because I knew her better by the end of the novel due to the writing style of first person point of view.

Kris Bryant writes in the first person point of view and has done in all the books I have read by her so far. I want to mention that I don’t tend to enjoy this writing style because it can leave many questions unanswered about the other character and their feelings, which for me leave the book not feeling finished, however I have never felt this way reading any of Kris Bryant’s books. She has a way of giving insight into the other main protagonist by using a few clever techniques and involving the secondary characters to add back-stories and extra pieces of important information. The pace of the book was excellent, it was never rushed but I was never bored or waiting for a chapter to finish. I also want to mention that Kris Bryant included an epilogue and you have no idea how much I crave epilogues. They round off stories well but they also give you a sneak peak into the happily ever after and if written extremely well I usually give an extra star. That’s how important I feel it is. This epilogue made my heart swell to the point I almost lunged of the sofa to do a happy dance.

I love Ireland so anytime I read a book that’s based there I get excited but Kris Bryant really made me feel I was there in person from the descriptions of the village and the scenery.

Now before I continue I need to mention the chemistry between the characters because it was almost tangible. The first kiss outside the club floored me… that was a first kiss to end all first kisses. I was stunned at the metaphorical fireworks that where going off during that kiss. It actually became the moment that I began really enjoying Kerry’s personality. The fact that Kerry rides a motorbike also had me super excited because its just plain desirable and hot but then after I had come down from my first-kiss-high, next was the rollercoaster ride of the sex scenes. Now I have five words for you and they are important: KRIS BRYANT KNOWS GOOD SEX! That first love scene knocked me off game a bit… the way Bryant describes Kerry and Grace’s intimacy left me flabbergasted and a little excited. But then just when you think it’s not possible, Bryant takes it to another level and writes a sex scene in Grace’s office and the intimacy she portrays when they make love is heart wrenching but so very passionate.

Oh I’ve just had an idea for Kris Bryant’s next book. Are you ready? The title is: “How to have amazing Lesbian sex”. I tell you it would be a best seller.

Now for the other side of the emotional highway I was riding. I am not going to lie, I cried during this book twice. But the most intense moment was when Kerry sends Grace flowers along with an emotional letter. It was such a moving scene in the novel that I felt my heart ache for this couple. The other moment was when they meet up at the secret spot and it was so intense it was almost uncomfortable but so engaging that my heart was beating out of my chest.

In conclusion this was probably one of the most moving and exciting books I have read recently. It moved me in so many ways but the biggest was because of the relatable context I felt when reading it.

5 stars.

Very beautiful love story very romantic, pretty sex scenes attractive and kind characters' short everything to make a nice romance. One regret, that this is happening in Ireland and so in Europe, we European are tired of these books taking place in Europe because we are jaded: any country except countries of Europe .... 🤣🤣

Grace has a job that's very important to her; as a matter of fact, it's so important that it's consumed most of her time, if not all. Surely even thinking about moving to Ireland and working in the flower shop she all of a sudden inherited from her great aunt is out of the question. She has a career in Dallas, God damn it! Kerry, on the other hand, is very happy where she is - working for the Mulligan Group, a family firm, surrounded by lovely people that adore each other and deeply care for each other. But when those two meet, sparks fly and day by day, it only gets worse for Grace in keeping the promise not to have anything with Kerry because she doesn't do one night stands, and maintaining relationship in this situation is physically impossible.
I have to rate it with 5 stars, I just have to. I immensely enjoyed this one. It's emotional, lovable, warm, there's a certain omnipresent aura of great chemistry, and later, a very deep bond beyond sexual tension between Grace and Kerry, even though they both fight it with everything they have, because there certainly is no future for a overseas relationship. The book is just lovely, that's what it is. It practically reads itself, and it puts a very sweet smile on your face.

I've enjoyed Kris Bryant's other stories, but this one didn't grab me. It's a nice romance, but nothing happens that you can't see coming from miles away. I honestly knew how the book would end before I finished the first chapter.

The characters are likeable enough, but because it's told in first person you really only get a clear picture of Grace, I'd have preferred more of an idea of where Kerry was coming from.

There's very little tension in the book (other than the contrived angst that colours their first few meetings). Most of the rest of the angst stems from the (overly repeated) knowledge that they live in two different places and Grace will have to return home.

The supporting characters aren't given much to do (and honestly one of the most intriguing was Kerry's high school rival, but it doesn't get followed up). Grace's over the top love affair with all things Irish also had me rolling my eyes.

There's nothing bad here, just nothing of any real substance. Even though the leads spend quite a bit of time together (over an initially short period) I still didn't buy into their insta-relationship. And once they started sleeping together, that's pretty much all they did. That made the book go faster, as I skimmed through most of the last third.

I was also slightly irritated by the lack of contractions in the writing, the formality kept taking me out of the story. This is an alright way to spend a few hours, but I enjoyed her other books more. If you haven't read her novels before I suggest starting with Jolt, it's my favourite.

When I think of the color green, I almost always think of Ireland (okay, maybe not). I do believe this is the first story I have read which is so deliciously Irish. As I read, I learned, which in my opinion is fantastic and one of the reasons I enjoy reading so much. I learned about the landscape, people, and of course the food. Due to the descriptors, I was quickly caught up and interested in what would happen to not only the main characters but family members and friends. Grace Danner, who am I when I am not working? Kerry Mulligan, who am I if I do not have family? When they meet, bam!

I enjoyed this book but wouldn't say it was one of Bryant's best. I liked Grace she was a character I enjoyed reading about. Kerry was more someone I had to warm up to and found her reasons to not like Grace at the start and the way she treated her to be maybe slightly over the top.

I found the relationship to be more so focused on the sex. And I will say the sex was hot. But I felt it was unclear to me as to what made these two the forever after couple.

The pace of the book was good and found it an easy fun read.

I am rating this book 3.5 stars.

So workaholic Dallas girl, Grace inherits a flower shop in Ireland. Grace decides to fly to Ireland and hire hot Irish real estate agent, Kerry. Planning selling the flower shop quickly and returning to her all consuming job in Dallas. Kerry of course makes this very difficult. I have to say after reading this one, I am a little bit in love with Kerry. This was five stars from start to finish for me. This isn't one you want to miss.

Grace Danner from America meets Kerry Mulligan in Ireland when she comes there to settle her great aunts estate. Initially, sparks fly between the two women. Beautiful descriptions of the countryside. Felt like I was there.

Very sweet love story. I couldn't put it down. Also, a big plus, I only found 3 typos in the whole book.

This story is told in first person, present tense. Had I known that prior to requesting a copy I likely wouldn’t have done so. The style of narration seems to be one of an acquired taste, a taste I’m still learning to palate.

The fact the heroine had to tell me when she was speaking 280+ times drove me to distraction. I’m sure those two little words, ‘I say’, were supposed to fade-to-black but they became more and more glaring as I read on.

Despite my dislike for the narrative, this is a beautiful story with two likable heroines. People who like some spice with their romance can rest assured, Texan blonde Grace, and Irish red-head Kerry, certainly know how to steam up the pages.

The long distance relationship and wondering how they could possibly make it work was a refreshing change from the normal tropes. Morgan is an awesome supporting character. Kerry’s baby nephew being born added an additional feel good touch to the story.

I’m sure readers who have no aversion to present tense narration will be totally enthralled by the characters, setting, and plot.

I'm trying to catch up on reading all of Bryant's books, so this one was on my shelve. Although it is not her best book and I "only" rated it 3 stars, I was glad I bought it, nice feelings linger. It is a very nice and sweet romance to read. This book was just what I needed after my holiday. When starting a demanding job again, a light read was just what I needed.
You won't be disappointed when you buy this book.

Lots of sexy scenes, no fade to black (thank you Bryant). Nice setting, likeable characters (also on the side).

The use of first person narration here made the story feel so one sided that I could barely remember the two characters names. They were hardly ever used. And while I liked the two characters, it's hard to feel connected to them if you don't know their names. The ending was also a bit abrupt. Predictable, but abrupt.

What a breath of fresh Irish air! I love everything about Forget Me Not by Kris Bryant. I adored this romantic love story starring the young work-a-holic Grace Danner from Dallas and Kerry Mulligan, the sexy redhead realtor from Ireland. I loved getting to know everything about these two women, their families, their individual struggles, their dreams, and watching their relationship develop and become seriously and comedically entwined. Set on the beautiful Emerald Isle, this love story brings back fond memories of one of my favorite vacations and makes me want to have a Guinness beer at the local pub with my two new friends and visit The Irish Garden flower shop with them in Howth. I have read all of Kris Bryant's books and this one ranks way up there at the top as one of my all-time favorites. Ms. Bryant's writing is so very original. It is fresh, fun, and never leaves me disappointed. Yes! Hot, steamy sex scenes throughout. A must-read!

This is my sentimental favourite Kris Bryant book! First off,....IRELAND !!! Never read any lesfic set in one of me fav places in the world so I was really psyched! Bryant spared no details in describing the breathtakingly gorgeous landscapes of the Irish land, literally taking me back there to enjoy it again....ahhhh, memories!

I was struck by the chemistry between Grace and Kelly which wasn't apparent at first glance but it was there, natural and organic, in the midst of all the prickly exchange and awkwardness. It was just brilliantly crafted! I simply Kelly! She was so adorably aloof around Grace who's taken to her early on. Their growing connection was nothing short of romantic and ohhhhh......the ending.....Forget. Me. Not. Figuratively and literally...

A heartwarmingly romantic & joyous Must-Read!

Texan Grace is bequeathed a flower shop in a small town in Ireland by her aunt. On her arrival she meets Kerry, the hot-tempered estate agent. They're both great characters. Grace is a workaholic with little interest in life beyond work. Kerry is a reluctant estate agent and would rather be on a farm.
Understandably their relationship is tenuous at best in the beginning but the chemistry is palpable.

The descriptions of Ireland and the people were a pleasure to read and easy for me to relate to because Ireland is one of the places I felt like I was home. It made me cry and if a book does that it means I'm engaged emotionally. Kris Bryant is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and she needs to write faster.

I really liked the concept of the story but I was kind of left disappointed with it. It seemed to be repetitive a lot and I didn't feel the characters connect. I felt like there was nothing really there and they didn't really like each other and all of a sudden they got involved.
Towards the end there were just too many sex scenes just put in there and it felt like they were there as a filler kind of. It also has a lot of American/ Texan stereotypes that were kind of annoying.

A fine book and typical plotline, but something about the way the writer and character treated Ireland and the Irish people and communities felt condescending instead of endearing like they intended.
It just came across as too typically American in the worst ways and put me off when the writer and character would talk about the quaint little folk with warm hearts of gold who worked oh so hard in their family for not much reward. See? Kinda patronizing isn't it?

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. This book was absolutely amazing, I immediately connected with Grace and felt immersed into this book through every turn. The culture of Ireland and Kerry brought this book to life. I was unable to put this book down, the chemistry between the characters was insane, and you will not be disappointed as you start on Grace's journey.
