This is a well-done book, from the photos of exercises that feature real-looking people to Ms. Gabler's own thoughtfully developed approach to the fascinating world of fascia. I enjoyed it, and use it as a reference in my own private practice with yoga therapy and nutrition therapy.
A fascinating perspective on chronic pain and how to heal ourselves from the inside. I will be trying out the exercises to get the body into alignment and strengthen the inner core that supports the entire body.
Inefficient movement patterns put undue stress on our bodies when we move. This is one approach to rebuilding efficient movement patterns for free and easy movement. I keep coming back to the exercises.
As a yoga and Pilates teacher this book is extremely valuable in that it teaches about our fascia and how it works. It was a wonderful leap experience.
The book provides an in depth description of fascia and the architecture of the body. Ms. Gabler presents her paradigm concerning the relationship between fascia and chronic pain, and concludes with a method to realign the body using soft foam rollers. The theoretical section is not light reading, but the practical section is simple. There is a long list of physical issues for which the author does NOT recommend her exercises.
