"Stunning finale of an epic series!"

In the fight for survival, there is no right and wrong, only life or death.

Twenty Earth-years have passed since the first child was born on Mars—humanity's survival outpost after evacuating amidst the destruction of the planet they called home. Life has settled into idyllic predictability...until an alien artificial intelligence merges with Col. Zune Adamini, revealing a glimpse of the darkness to come.

Zune struggles with the colony's leadership to take action, forcing him to cross the thin line between morality and necessity. With no option but to send their children into harm's way, everything humanity has on the line is threatened in a battle against a seemingly unstoppable enemy whose only goal is to annihilate the threat of humans.

In the final moments, when humanity's flame is at the brink of being extinguished, all will hang on Tar’Day realizing her destiny. But will it be enough?

The first half of the book is so slow and full of technical jargon. It has several info dumps that have way too much information or is meaningless.

But in the second half of the book it does pick up, with the actions of the characters and whatnot. And by the end of the book details are tied up nicely.

I enjoyed every book in this series, but the conclusion of the trilogy is just stunning. The whole series focuses on taking "standard sci-fi scenarios" and seeing them in a fresh new light, but without giving any of the plot away, I think it's safe to say that the last book went someplace new and unexpected. I was in tears when I finished the book--in a good way--and it has left me thinking about some things in a new way. And I missed the book when it was over--what higher praise can you give an author than that?

Omg! Evolutions is a rollercoaster ride into the future! This is the Third book in the series and I didn't want it put it down. The writing is so visual. I could see each character come alive. Reading from the pen of a N.A.S.A. Engineer , I was given an chance to travel with the characters to see and learn the workings of a space flight. I fell in love with the people who had so many odds against them and the resolution to survive. So many theories were explored in this book. I loved every delicious moment of reading this book. Is it really the last page? I will be looking forward to reading future stories from this wonderful writer! Mr. Terry R. Hill , Sir you rocked it !

Evolutions the final book of Terry R. Hills's fantastic trilogy In the Days of Humans has been worth the wait. Set 28 years after the events in the second book, I found Mr. Hills writing to be concise and clear as ever in the classic science fiction tradition with a warning of what the future could be when it comes to artificial intelligence. In this book he has his characters push the envelope. Like the previous books I find the character Tar'Day to be my favorite.
Well done Mr. Hill.

Excellent Book. This was the third in the series, In The Days of Humans. I love the characters in the series. They have personality that makes you feel you are there with them, sharing in their experiences and feeling. Lots of action, lots of technical real science. Makes you believe that this can and will happen in the future.

3-3.5

I liked this book well enough, the characters were rounded and the story flowed well, very descriptive with quite a bit of action. It had an intricate plot and a lot of intrigue surrounding their fight for survival.
Unfortunately it didn't grip me so I found it far too easy to put down. This is probably down to personal preference and no reflection on the author or the book. I really wish I had enjoyed it more.
