An AU in which The Bachelor is gay, Louis is a contestant, Harry is the bachelor, everyone drinks a lot of champagne, the entire world gets to watch them fall in love, and no one plays by the rules.
It’s a bachelor au and it was nice. Louis was witty and they’re so funny and cute and it’s full of fluff and it’s adorable seeing them fall in love. I was just expecting more I guess? I was expecting so much jealousy and drama but it was fairly tame and they were very self assured in their relationship, which I usually enjoy, except I read this expecting a bunch of angst and drama and jealousy and cheating and instead I got fluff and cuteness. I definitely would’ve enjoyed this a lot more if I had read this knowing what to expect. It was nice though and I enjoyed reading it, it was fairly long took me a while to get through but the dates were cute and I liked reading it. I watched the Bachelorette for the first time because of this so there's that. It wasn't bad, I was just expecting more.
Personal summary: Louis loves the show the bachelor and his bestie signs him up for the show without telling him. He goes because he fell in love with Harry from last season and now they start to meet and learn about each other. Harry isn't even vaguely interested in anyone else, Louis has his attention from the start and they go on lots of dates. Louis seems to be the only one of the boys who isn't sucking up to Harry and appears to be genuine. They go on very cute dates and fall in love. In the end they pick each other and they decide to get married and move in together.
i loved every second of it. the characters are so witty and entertaining, the plot funny and engaging. it is incredibly fast paced in my opinion, but i still felt very much connected to the story. i've read this at least five times over the past years and each time is a wholesome experience (with the right amount of miscommunication and angst).
