I was trying to get away clean... but with her I just can't stop myself from gettin' dirty.
Unemployed Hitman. Yeah, that's me. After all the stuff that went down with the O'Riley crime family, I'm out of a job, but at least I'm walking away with a boat load of money.
Now I'm just taking it easy, floating from city to city. Taking the odd job here and there while I try to find my place.
Until gorgeous, curvy goddess Aaliyah gets her bank card declined in front of me in the checkout lane.
Booty made for grabbing and legs that go on for days. Single moms usually aren't my type, but there's just something about her that is driving me insane.
Too bad she's been hurt so much she thinks I only want sex in exchange for her groceries.
I've got nothing but time, one of the benefits of being rich and unemployed.
My new purpose in life: I'm going to convince Aaliyah she's mine and spend the rest of my days knocking her up with my babies.
Funny, raucous story about a hitman with a heart (sorta) who falls in love with a single mother and her daughter. Don't expect anything deep, but I did enjoy this one. Madcap hilarity and action throughout. And lots of hot, dirty sex.
I liked this book, it was a nice easy read. it had lots of action throughout and it was entertaining. Seamus and Aaliyah were likable characters. His a badass hitman whith a cocky attitude but also sweet at times. There were times where I loved him and others where I thought he went a touch to far with his thoughts surrounding Aaliyah and other people he had had in his life. Aaliyah was a single mother, doing the best she could with a troubled brother. Although overall I did really enjoy this book, I found it could have been edited better. There were quiet a few grammatical mistakes throughout this book. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

I lucked up on this story and this author. Not be be sexist but I usually don’t read romance stories written by men but Sean did a fabulous job fleshing out both the H and the h. In addition, the dialogue was great...none of that cringe worthy and repetitive “take this________”. Seamus was an intense, alpha, real man but he never treated the ladies in his life....even Mrs. Robins....with anything other than love and respect. Not your average hitman....retired😁
I always love a good hitman romance, and this one was definitely one of the better ones! I love that the author didn't shy away from a little violence. I got this book free for signing up for the author's news letter, and was incredibly surprised when it wasn't just a short novella, but an actual full length novel. Now, I am going to go download Gettin' Lucky and find out what happened to him!
Loved Seamus. So glad we got him after the little bit of meeting him in luckys book. His amusement and small jokes made you want to know him more. Especially how he had luckys back and vice versa. Loved how he was with Mina. Their little monster bit was so freaking adorable. Loved how Aaliyah just couldn’t help but fall for Seamus but put up a small bit of fight just as to protect her and Mina. But he wasn’t having it. Great story. Loved the ending.
I enjoyed this storyline and it kept my interest, however the editing and spelling mistakes are horrendous! If you can overlook that and there is a lot to overlook, the book was pretty good. The character development could've been better - it was just skin deep.
I know this all sounds pretty negative, but honestly the potential here is :) very good.
Loved Seamus and his cocky attitude! He is very much a see what he wants and takes it kinda guy. What I love about Sean's writing is he knows how to combine violence and sex in a way that it flows effortlessly. He pulls you in and no matter how dangerous the situation is you are hanging on wanting and needing more.
I'm extremely happy with the outcome of the story, I was wondering if Seamus was going to get a story of his own but he did, you brought out Passion, Protectiveness, Happiness for this couple, I'm giving this book 5 stars.
Another great story! Standalone, with another hit man. He is extremely protective of her as soon as they get together and he falls for her and her little monster. Loved this and the heat in this book is out of this world. Loved it
Wow, loved every minute of this book. Aliyah put up a good fight but in the Seamus showed her so much love that she couldn’t not love him back. I really enjoyed Seamus point of view. How he looked and thought about everyone, it was real..
The spicy scenes are really good. The male character is great and we'll developed. The female one is ok. The story is fun but not amazing. I won't or recommend for an easy read.
I thought Aaliyah's was the worst human ever. I didn't think he could get as bad as he did, smh. I'm glad Seamus got her to be his forever love. My favorite character was little miss Mina.
The characters in this book were awesome. Seamus made my ovaries damn near call his name. Aaliyah is my damn spirit animal and the little monster Mina, stole my heart. Another great read by Sean.
I enjoyed this one a lot. I’m a bit of a book snob so coming from me that’s a rave review. Definitely looking forward to more from him, solo or with Izzy.
Seamus and Aaliyah are a good match. Seamus was Kinda hilarious.Mina was adorable. There were a ton of grammar errors though and not enough sex for this author.
I thought the book was just ok. It just read a bit placed and forced to me: Seamus and his dangerous vibe and Aaliyah and her struggles and how he just forced himself into her life.
I'm not the audience for this type of book. I'm not really sure why I continued to read it other than it really didn't do anything to offend me. It was obviously written quickly without a reliable editor to tell the author to not rush scenes and to fix grammatical errors.
I just want all authors to take a mandatory class on grammar before being allowed to publish. Just because ending sentences in "at" and incorrectly using "I" in the objective case are said so often that people think it is correct doesn't make it so. Ugh. I'm so over bad grammar I could spit.
The one saving grace in this book was the relationship between Seamus and Mina, the heroine's daughter. It was sweet and probably what kept me reading.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. At first I wasn't so sure I was going to enjoy this genre of book. I've never really been that much of a mafia type story reader. But once the author got started, I was hooked. I enjoyed meeting the 2 main characters a single mom and a retired or trying to retire hit man. Our male character sees his forever one in the grocery store and falls head over heels for her. Their chemistry is fantastic. He will do anything to protect her and her daughter. He manages to slowly work his way into her life and convince her that he is the one for her. There are some twists and turns in this book. All in all a good book with an HEA.
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Synopsis:
Seamus is a retired hitman wandering around looking for something or someone to do with himself when he sees Aaliyah in a grocery store and knows he just has to have her. He spends the rest of the book trying to convince her that he can protect her and her daughter no matter what the cost. He is positive she is the girl of his dreams almost right away, however she takes a little more time to decide that for herself.
My Thoughts:
The sexual tension between these two is more than decent but I couldn't help but cringe at some of the choice of phrasing.
Pretty good book. Just as life starts looking better for Aaliyah as she and Seamus get to know each other her life keeps trying to knock her down. Can Seamus make both of their lives find a turn for the better?? Or will Michael kill all their future plans.
This is my 1st time reading works from this author and I must say I really liked it. I like his style of writing and I enjoyed the characters in this book. I will be reading more of his works
I've never read another book by this author. Had never even heard of them. Stumbled across it and figured what the heck, sounds good. And IT WAS! Not going to spoil it for anyone else, just know that it's a good read. Enjoy
This is a fun read about a hit man that finds the woman for him and works to convince her to give him a try. It is a pretty quick read and leaves you smiling. He is quite the charmer.
I really liked this book...although if I had to read one more time, about Aliyah's "soaking wet cooter" I feel like I was gonna crush my kindle into a million pieces! The book had tons of grammatical errors, but the story was so good I had to give it four stars.
This was a very hard book to put down. All the things happening between Aaliyah and Seamus had so much sexual tension built up. Michael was a worthless piece of shit. I wanted to reach into the book and choke him.
