Young readers may touch various pieces of clothing and articles, such as bows, tiaras, and sashes, that are not the one someone is looking for, until the right picture appears.

Having joined Usborne in 1989, Fiona became an editorial director in 2003, largely responsible for writing baby and novelty books, as well as art and activity titles. She has written over 100 titles for Usborne Publishing, perhaps most notably the, ‘That’s not my ….‘ touchy-feely series.
Among all the Touchy-Feely books, I thought that the illustrations in the Princess edition stood out from the rest as they would transport you to magical fantasy lands, where princesses and maidens ruled. Very upbeat drawings that would put you in a good mood. Your baby should enjoy touching the different textures too; they are larger than those from other books. However, I will appreciate this even better if the girls featured come from a more diverse variety of backgrounds.
Go ahead and get this book as a baby shower gift. It will be appreciated and enjoyed. Lots of fun things for a tiny girl to touch. A great idea for text structure. I liked that it tried to stick with bold illustrations that catch the eye better for a baby than pastels.
No, YOU'RE a sleep-deprived suburban mum of a toddler blatantly marking her daughter's books as 'read' in order to achieve her reading target for 2023. This book is very cute though.
Don't look at me.

It's rare to find such a political book that still manages to surprise. It starts off as a powerful republican screed as the lowly mouse rejects successive would-be monarchical despots for their various frivolities whether it be the shininess of a tiara or the fluffiness of a fan. Such a bold little rodent telling truth to power.
This book has great sensory words and is great for babies. Also, the touchy-feely pages help interest children in books. Look for the mouse on each page. Check out my page to purchase this book: www.ubah.com/s2995
That's not my princess... her tiara is too bumpy. Her bows are too silky. All the modern man needs to know about finding his princess. All in all a mesmerising tale of truth and strength which shows that perseverance will overcome all adversity.
These books are always a hit in our house! My daughter has had them from a baby and still enjoys them now two years on. All the pages have different materials on them whether they be shiny or fluffy.
I really like this series of books. While this particular one doesn't give a very wide definition of princess, I do still enjoy the way it makes the distinctions between the princesses based on the textures (as it does the subject of each installment in the series).
This sweet book hit all the stereotypical princess costumes, but I would have preferred there be more diversity. However, my daughter enjoyed this book.
