The secret keeper ...
Jonathan Drazen is a man who others envy. Charmed with looks, money, and everything at his fingertips, he always gets anything and anyone he wants.

The irrelevant ...
Growing up in the elite Faulkner household, Katherine “Katie” Smith has never quite fit in. As the outcast half sister to one of New York’s most beautiful socialites, Katie is forced to accept she isn’t wanted or valued by the Faulkners.

Deceit, revenge, lust, and the interwoven lives that pay the price ...
When her sister marries Jonathan, Katie’s life begins to change drastically. Suddenly, she finds herself the object of his desire. Katie’s sister is far from pleased with her husband’s yearning and unleashes unbearable mistreatment on Katie. When Jonathan takes matters into his own hands, revealing a past nobody expected, will the irrelevant Katie finally become the relevant woman she was destined to be?

allyn lesley writes real stories about real people.

As a teen, allyn lost herself in the pages of some of Romance’s heavyweights, trusting that a happy ever after was just around the corner. In allyn’s own writing journey, as in life, she’s learned that people don’t always experience recovery and restoration after a fall. Her stories speak to the gritty side of life where the right choice isn't always easily identified and happiness not quickly gained.

Irrelevant is the perfect title to this novella! It was so far off base from the Jonathan & Monica that I've come to know and love that that I decided to think of it as not relevant at all to the Submission series by CD Reiss. So once I was in that mindset and I was able to disconnect myself from the Drazens as I knew them, I started enjoying the story as a modern day fairytale. Of course, some things can't change: Jonathan is the hot and sexy hero. Enough said! Because the story was well written with a nice twist, I gave it 4 stars.

I loved this little novella. It's the biggest, craziest 'what if' scenario on the relationship of Jonathan and Monica and while it might seem sacrilegious, because NOTHING should come between them, I thought it was refreshing and well-written.

I loved it even more because of how far out of the box it was!

This is one of the Drazen World Novellas based on CD Reiss' Songs of Submission Series. I had to have an open mind while reading, since the main characters behaved differently in this book, compared to how I know and love them in CR's books. The writing was good and the plot had a bit of a mystery to it. Oh and J is still hot! Well done!

I was surprised when I read this story and seeing Monica like this vengeful, spiteful person was shocking. In the CD Reiss books, I don't remember a mention of a half-sister or step mother?Katie is Monica's hated half-sister and upon their father's death, she's hired by Jonathan to be his personal assistant. In this book Jonathan is not the alpha male that we know and this is quite disturbing.

A Dark Take on Cinderella

Irrelevant strays the furthest from the Drazen universe but that doesn't keep it from being an entertaining mix of thriller, mystery and romance. It's perfect for an afternoon at the beach.

3.5 while this was a good story, it was too far fetched from the characters I've grown to love. If it were other people it'd be right up my alley. Darkish and disturbing.
