Echoes: A Midwestern Girl's Stories

Rate this book
“Again, again!” are the words children often squeal when they hear their favorite stories.
My grandma Patty told me stories of her childhood that I never tired of hearing.
Encouragement from family and friends and my love of the 1940s time period inspired me to write this novella. May these vignettes remind you of the favorite storyteller in your life.
Peggy Poe is an adventurous Midwestern girl growing up on a farm in Southern Indiana during the 1940s.
Many of the joys and sorrows she and her family experience are as timeless and universal as storytelling itself.

Unique coming-of-age story consisting of vignettes. Seeing 1940s rural life through the eyes of Peggy Poe is a treat. I cried and laughed.
