"My name is Kaeleen Donovan. I'm a Theosian-a minor goddess. They call me Fury."
By day, I run the Crossroads Cleaning Company, and I also read fortunes and cast hexes at Dream Wardens, a magical consulting shop. But by night, I'm oath-bound to Hecate, Goddess of the Crossroads. Hecate charged me from birth with the task of hunting down Abominations who come in off the World Tree and sending them back to Pandoriam.
On a routine cleaning job in Portside—a boat full of ghosts need their joyride cut short—Tam and I run afoul of the Devani. The ruthless soldiers of Elysium capture him and send him out to the Tremble, a place of wild, chaotic madness. Jason and I devise a plan to sneak in and help Tam escape. But Lyon and the Order of the Black Mist reappear, and I’m on their hit list. Lyon opens a door to the Netherworld and the dead are pouring into the city. Now, we must wade through both the Devani and the dead to save Tam. And we must close the portal on the World Tree before Lyon manages to wake the Elder Gods of Chaos.

This is a great series for Yasmine. I enjoy these books as much as I enjoy her Otherworld series! Fury is a great character and I enjoy the other character in Fury's world. I love to learn more things as the characters grow and the story lines always keep me reading until the end. I can't wait to read the next book.

Life kept me from finishing this book as fast as I wanted, but every spare moment had me enthralled with the adventures of Fury.
Fury's Magic is Yasmine Galenorn's second installment of the Fury Unbound series. Set in a fast paced futuristic world of various creatures and magic, this story has a little bit of everything if you enjoy the urban fantasy genre.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD: Fury is a greek god "Theosian" bound to serve Hecate, the Goddess of the Crossroads. This bond takes Fury on various adventures, including the investigation of ghost hauntings, the rescue of a lover, and putting her life in peril to stop an invasion.
Ending the story, the reader gets a sense that larger forces are in play, and that more demanding challenges lay ahead. Fury's strength, grit, and devotion to her duty are exceptionally well written, and I came away impressed with the character and her story.
If you enjoy urban fantasy stories, this is a must read. This second installment of Fury's story really found it's stride, and I eagerly anticipate the next book.
Fury’s Magic is the fast paced, action packed second book of the Fury Unbound series. I adore Fury! She’s strong, loyal and a great friend. Also a total kick butt woman. Fury made strides in dealing with some of her darker emotions. I loved seeing that growth in her, along with learning more of where she's from. As of lover of lore and legends the origins of the Broken and the Theosians were an added treat for me. Meeting new characters and unexpected twist to the plot kept this reader on the edge of her seat.
Fury’s Magic is truly paranormal at its finest. Ms. Galenorn’s personal touch on myths, legends and lore is imaginative, fresh and exciting. Her world building is an art form in itself. It's almost like the setting is a character in itself. Yasmine Galenorn’s imagination and talent for weaving words, together to create a fascinating world that draws readers in and makes them never want to leave.

This series must be read in order. The first book is "Fury's Magic". This is the second book. I can't wait to read "Fury Awakened"!
Ever since facing off with(and beating) Lyon and his crazy cult of Chaos worshipers Fury has been waiting for the retaliation. He just seemed like the type to hold a grudge. It feels like something bad is almost always around the corner. She should be ecstatic from her real life romance with a real Faerie Prince, but no matter how happy they are, it feels like something bad is coming. What form will Lyon's revenge take? Will she be able to thwart his next evil plan to wake the Elder Gods Of Chaos? Will they ever figure out why the number of Aboms crossing keeps increasing? Besides the now destroyed Thunderstrike, what else are the Corporations hiding? Can they be stopped before they anger Gaia and she destroys everyone?
***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy apocalyptic urban fantasy romance sci-fi set in a post postapocalyptal world where technology and magic combine, filled with action and Elder Gods galore :)
I still like the world-building and Fury, and I also enjoyed that the plot was well-paced. Despite the plot moving right along, there was a lot of descriptive detail. That would normally be a good thing, but I found quite a few of the descriptions to be repetitive. I specifically remember a descriptive paragraph that was repeated, almost verbatim, a few pages later in the very next chapter. That is the most glaring example, but there were several times where a very similar explanation/description popped up in the text. It became a little distracting.
I will probably continue to read in this series, at least for another book. Her Otherworld series took a few books to hit its stride for me so I'm hoping that's the case here.
In Book 2 of the series, Fury and Tam become lovers with Hecate’s blessing. They must overcome serious obstacles posed by Aboms, Tam’s banishment to chaotic Tremble, zombies pouring out of the portal to Chaos, and other seriously risky developments that could anger Gaia to an apocalyptic catastrophe. As Hecates' bonded minion, Fury has no choice but to obey her commands. In addition, her bond with Tam gives her great incentive to ensure his health and safety. Intense, often bloody, and painful encounters with various supernatural agencies occur as dangers are faced and violently vanquished. But even more danger lies ahead in Book 3.
This is Book 2 in the Fury Unbound Series by Yasmine Galenorn. Kaeleen Donovan aka "Fury"is a minor Goddess, bound to the Goddess Hecate. She is tasked with a routine job but runs into some trouble. Tam is captured and she sets out to rescue him. Of course there is action, suspense, twists and turns. I love Fury's determination, loyalty, and strength that she displays throughout the story.
If you enjoy a GREAT Paranormal Read, then you want to check out this book, and really any of Yasmine's Books, as she always delivers!!!
Yasmine Galenorn is one of my favorite authors because she always captivates and her stories always feel real while reading them. Reading this new series is exciting and fun. I love that the Gods are tangible and personable, with their own personalities and motives. I look forward to meeting more new species or races, and hopefully exploring more with those we've met already. The romance is sweet and understated, but without making it seem cliche or boring.
I loved this book, maybe even more than the first one, and I loved the first one a lot. This is a darker series set in a post apocalyptic world of sorts, one where Gaia got tired of being abused by human beings and decided to fight back. I love Fury's interactions with Hecate, the continuing development of her relationship with Tam, and the fact that the story constantly had me wondering what would happen next.
second book also read in three days. Hard to put down. Want to finish the series but as always will be sorry when the series is ended. I seem to be hooked on the mystical reads. I marvel on the minds writing these series. I don’t know how they keep names and histories going during the stories.
This author deserves the rating. Waiting to read the third in the series. I wonder how many days it took to write.
This is without a doubt wonderful storytelling at its finest. I love Fury, she is the epitome of a amazing character. The world building in this series is phenomenal. Just 1 little spoiler but you need to read the book to find it. “I love what you are. Who you are. You are my chosen mate. You are my furious passion.” If that doesn't grab your heart strings I don't know what your thinking. That is brilliant writing at its finest.
I throughly enjoyed this 2nd book of Fury Unbound!
Yasmine Galenorn has a great way of making a paranormal romance novel into a story that you just can’t put down. She ties the excitement of the story into the plot and gives you just enough to make you want more. Personally, I don’t like to start reading one of her series until I own every book in that series! That’s because once I get started, I don’t want to stop!! Highly recommend!
This book read much better for me than the first in the series. I felt like the characters were more solid and relationships were much less nebulous. I thoroughly enjoyed the action in this book. It's nice to see a heroine that knows her weaknesses and isn't all powerful, while maintaining her capabilities regardless of the help she has.
One of my favorite things about Yasmine Galenorn books is that she keeps the stories going from book to book. I don't feel as if I am reading a "story" I feel as if I am peeking into the lives of the characters and watching them unfold. I connect with them on a personal level and celebrate or mourn with them. I also very much enjoyed this book and where it took the characters.
The time has come to put it all on the line. The author adds a new twist to apocalyptic story telling. Familiar myth are brilliantly woven into a tale that keeps your interest from beginning to end. The ending is such that you want to run out & get the next ext book to see what happens.
I chose 5 stars for Fury's Magic as it's another superb reaction Miss Galenorn, the second book in the Fury series does not disappoint, it has excitement in abundance and you feel for the characters, so ready for book three.
I am still on Fury's journey. Now I'm waiting for the hot and heavy passion I envision but is not present so far. Let's hope the others are more involved. I am still not disappointed because the collective skill of Fury and her friends is for better words awesome.
