Thousand Yard Bride

He's part football player, part flirt, and entirely filthy.
Hunter is a playboy who thinks the world revolves around him. He's also the notorious wide receiver for the New Haven Hawks football team.
But honestly?
It's more like f*#kball with this guy.
So why would a classy girl like me hang around a trainwreck like him?
Fact check: being the PR for a celebrity pays well. Great, even. All I have to do is keep this unfairly sexy mess of a man from dipping between the goal-post legs of every woman around him.
It should have been easy.
It wasn't.
Not only did I NOT stop him from hooking up with someone...
I was the one he hooked up with.
You thought it couldn't get any worse? How do you feel about surprise babies?
That's right, I'm pregnant. The headlines will be amazing: "Wide Receiver Receives... Baby?!"
Only one solution can save my reputation and Hunter's—we have to get married. I'm supposed to pretend I'm in love with a stranger who spends all of his free time grinding up on strippers in Vegas. I don't know what's worse:
Acting like I care about this jackass...
Or realizing I'm actually falling for him.

Author's Note: This sporty romance is part football and ALL flirt -- so if you like your romantic reads with a bit of filth and a ton of happily ever afters, then read on! Stand Alone novel, no cliff hangers allowed!

I loveeeee sports romance, when a PA contacts you and says hey fancy reading this book, and I see a football on the cover then that's basically all I need LOL... They're my guilty pleasure, I love everything about them. This was a delicious read, a new author and I'll highly recommend it to anyone like moi who loves a bad boy turned into a one woman man..

So what's it about?
Hunters a player, lover of all things to do with the game, drinking and the ladddddiessss Yet he's getting out of hand so his father hires a PR to assist in his look and how he's perceived to the public.

Jo is totally business but she's normal, caring, average, and down to earth. So there's just something about Jo that pulls Hunter in her direction and that leads to a one night stand that leads to a complication that leads to a set up of sorts to the public eye.. An arrangement of sorts but an arrangement that leads to more and there it all gets complicated.

I'm not on the norm into insta love-lust reads which this read kind of is, but I found Hunters bad boy exterior to open up and find a gentle, caring a loving man underneath somewhat endearing. I really fell for his demur and gentle heartwarming character that he turned into. There is something broken in him that Jo helps to mend and so a somewhat hard hero turned gentle was really lovely to read.

If you love an asshole turn into family man. A sexy hot read. A book on a strong heroine and also a kind of lighthearted romance mixed with some angst then this sure is your next book.

Enjoy xo

4.5 Hunter and Jo Stars

This is a perfect light Summer read. Hunter is a talented , handsome playboy footballer for a top American team. His reckless behaviour causes his nasty father to bring in a P.R. person to help rescue his reputation. But what happens when the Playboy and the P.R girl can't ignore the sizzling chemistry between them? Lots of passion ensues and there are consequences.

Hunter is a gorgeous, loyal, sweet hero. Jo is a funny, endearing heroine. Together they are solid and very likeable.

Fast paced read with dual pov . Recommend over 18's only due to sexual content and swearing. It is very insta everything but it works well. Lovely read and one I would pick up again. Hope Reese gets a story.....

I went to bed last night with a smile on my face after finishing this book...I think it's my new favorite of Nora's, sorry Huxton!

This is a feel-good romance, filled with flirty fun, sexy banter, and just the right touch of angst and drama (jerk of a father, jealous "friend", evil ex) to keep you on your toes. Hunter and Jo's relationship may have gotten off to a rocky start but that didn't stop the sparks from flying. I loved these 2- there's so much more to Hunter than what meets the eye and Jo is just the person to bring all of his goodness to light. There's nothing better than when a badboy meets his match- and Jo is the perfect match for Hunter! She's understandably leery of falling for such a playboy, but he has no such qualms about falling for her.

I've been into sports romances lately. Add in a surprise pregnancy and I'm all in. But this one didn't completely work for me. I liked it okay, but it felt a little incomplete. Otherwise, it was cute.

I've read Nora's darker work, which I really liked. I have to get used to her writing lighter fare.

I loved this book. I think that this just may be my favorite book from Nora Flite.

You don’t really need to know any more than what the blurb states. Hunter is a star quarterback for the NY Hawks. On the field he works his ass off and is good at what he does. But off the field he has the reputation of a bad boy. The alcohol consumption, sleeping with strippers, waking up the next morning not remembering who the woman in his bed is. Yes he is the total definition of a bad boy manwhore. His father, who owns the team he plays for has had enough and wants him to straighten himself out. So he hires Joanne to keep Hunter in line and to save his reputation. Jo’s job as Hunter’s new PR rep is to keep him from sleeping with nameless woman and to stop the drunken parties. But the one thing that she wasn’t supposed to do was sleep with him herself. It was just one night, that they will both keep to themselves and leave in the past. Until Jo finds out that she is pregnant and the only way for the two of them to save their careers and reputation is to fake a marriage between the two of them. Neither one of them are sure that this will work but it seems to be the only way. But what happens when their secret comes out? And more importantly what happens when real feelings start to surface?

What I loved the most about this book was the characters. I loved Hunter and Jo together. Hunter was the typical sports star who partied too much and slept with many women. But once he met Jo, things changed. I loved how much he changed and matured throughout this story. He was falling for Jo, he wanted to be a better man because of her. You could just see that deep down Hunter was not the guy that everyone thought he was. I think his past relationship made him into the man that the world knew him to be. But deep down he was a very loyal, caring and protective man. And you could see all of that when he was with Jo.

I loved the chemistry and the banter between the two of them. But most of all I loved watching their relationship develop into something more. I could tell from the beginning that there was nothing fake about what was going on between them even if they couldn’t see it. But as the reader I felt it. I felt the chemistry and connection between the two of them. And I loved every minute that these two were together.

Thousand Yard Bride is a fun, sexy and light read with just the right amount of drama and angst. From the moment I started I did not want to put this book down. I fell in love with Hunter and Jo and could not get enough of them. Another excellent job by Ms. Flite.

What a great surprise that a womanizing, partying star football player could actually turn out to be much more than anyone gave him credit for. We found out his dad was all of the above but in his case he just kept getting to be more and more of a jerk and never learned anything, much at the expense of his family. Hunter had grown up surrounded by football greatness and tons of money. His dad was a star football player so it would only be natural that Hunter would follow in daddy’s footsteps. The thing was it took a PR person that his dad hired to see Hunter for who he truly was underneath despite what the paparazzi kept catching him doing. Joanne aka Jo was a very good PR rep who was hired by daddy dearest to babysit Hunter and make sure that he did not end up as front page fodder. Either Hunter toed the line or he would lose the sponsorships he had acquired and his father, who owned his football team, was threatening to kick his star player off from the team.

When Hunter and Jo first met they both felt something spark between them but Jo knew she had a job to do and why would this Adonis looking man want anything to do with her since she was not of his usual type of women. Jo had a career that she cared about and wasn’t sure even if there was a possibility of the two of them hooking up would it all be worth it. Jo didn’t have much experience in the love department so she wasn’t even sure what was going on with Hunter. If the opportunity arose would she even want to sleep with Hunter and if she did what would the consequences be? Hunter’s father became a part of the couple very soon after they had gone to LA together for a meet and greet and it was his father that set this whole rouse in motion. Would Hunter and Jo go along with this so that they both could keep their jobs or was what Hunter Sr. asking too much for either of them to handle?

I am a big fan of Ms. Flite’s and this book was no different. I am just getting my feet wet in the sports romance genre and this is a hit for me. It grabbed your attention throughout and had you cheering for love. This was definitely a “feel good” book.

Football! I love my sports-related romances and they always do the trick when I need a little R&R from heavier reads. After a rather heart-wrenching angst-filled one yesterday, this is just what the doc ordered. Not much new or unique, but it still was fun-to-read and very sexy!

Hunter Daniels Junior is the egotistical, playboy wide receiver for the New Haven Hawks. He's the #1 wide receiver in the league, yes he's that good. He can get away with almost anything; not with his father though. Hunter Sr. is the owner as well as a retired quarterback and he is critical of everything Hunter does. Just another scandal, all in a day's work, or play, for Hunter. He plays hard both on and off the field. After his last debacle, his father decides it's time for Hunter to clean up his image. Enter Jo. Jo works for Sportsfire Public Relations specializing in celebrity PR. She quickly realizes what she's taken on and it might be more than she can chew. She needs this job so she goes all in. Hunter and his dad have a terrible relationship. Hunter Sr was just like Hunter in his younger years, but he seems to really resent his son. Why? What causes a father to be so critical of his son that he would threaten to take his career away? Jo's supposed to keep him out of trouble, not let him get too wild, go too far. It only takes one mistake to mess up your career. One too many indiscretions and it could be all over. Add in problems with the family, problems with the ex and problems with fellow players and it all makes for tabloid gold. But it all changed one night. One night and Jo's life would never be the same. Little did she know, Hunter's would never be either.
I LOVED THIS BOOK ! IT WAS FULL OF AMAZING CHARACTERS !
Hunter, the arrogant playboy, was just floating through life until he met his match in Jo. Jo was strong and smart. She had Hunter's back during all the twists and turns that he faced. THEIR CHEMISTRY WAS OFF THE CHARTS WITH LOTS OF HOT & HEAVY SEX SCENES ! GO AHEAD ONE-CLICK, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !

Thousand Yard Bride has a “Very Bad Boy” named Hunter Daniels Junior. He is the notorious, but best wide receiver in the league, plus highest paid in the New Haven Hawks football team. His Dad whom he is named after, and has control of the Hawks, was a legend in his time, too. Hunter was raised surrounded by all a young boy could want, except for the love and approval of his own father.

Hunter felt like he had just had the best week of his entire life, and received the Croc-Cooler deal endorsement. He felt like he should celebrate. The image of the very new Croc-Cooler spokeman should not start out with a last minute trip to Vegas, hijacking his Dad's private jet, and stuffing it with friends plus hot cheerleaders. He realized just how awful the idea was, the very next day, when he was demanded to attend lunch with his Dad and Mom.

He walked in to meet with his parents who just happened to be sitting with a very attractive young lady named Joanne Cooke. Joanne was hired by his father to be his new public relations representative. He was less then pleased about this, but when is father said, “You're an embarrassment to our family and to the entire Hawks franchise.” He decided he did not have a choice.

But Jo was going to have her hands full, with trying to tame Hunter, who liked being a bad boy. It was fun. It allowed him to live each day to the fullest, like it might be his last. Jo really needed this job and was determined to do everything possible to control his wild ways. In her effort to keep him from hooking up with someone, she never dreamed it would be her that he was interested in hooking up with.

There are more interesting characters in the story, with villains and friends both. A standalone story with a very satisfying ending. I would rate it 4.5*

Situations like this one are tough for me. You see you have a good book...a well written story IF it weren't for the fact it truly needed to be edited better. I'm not talking spelling/grammar errors, there may have been some but I honestly didn't notice. What I did notice are the story line mistakes, like one page they are in His car pulled over on the side of a road and then that scene ends with them being in Her car at her apartment complex...same scene, I read it 4 times to make sure it wasn't my mistake and that I missed something and, I didn't.
At some points I felt they were actually trying to be vulgar which for me took away from the story. Don't get me wrong I curse like a sailor but a poorly placed pussy, or "fat cock head" will surely end the steam factor and leave me cringing. And when a guy who's never been any where near your lady bits makes a statement about how "tight" it is...come on...seriously....there's dirty talk and then there's, well this..that actually might have been the issue here poorly written attempts at dirty talk.

And my last issue, unless you are going through infertility treatments or your doctor knows you, they NEVER say congratulations or "your going to be a mother".

However most of the instances were in the first half of the story and again this was actually a good story, like I stayed up until 2am without realizing just to finish it.

This is a sports romance story, based around the Hawkes football team. Hunter is warned to repair his reputation or get kicked out of the team, with a new PA hired to help him do just that. After getting a place with the team his father (a footballer himself in the past) bought the team and controls it and his son with an iron handed fist, nothing Hunter does is good enough. Jo is the PA whos job it is to try and improve Hunters image, all starts well. I hated his father and preyed Hunter would eventually stand up to him and tell him to shove it, controlling bully of a man. His mother as well is not especially loving or supportive a lot of the time, their social life and appearance seem to mean far more. With a few unexpected twists to keep the story interesting and stop it becoming mundane, this is a fairly easy read and flows along steadily. I enjoyed it, its my type of story. I loved both Hunter and Jo's characters and a few others like Reese and Laine, they worked well together. Mostly lighthearted though there are a couple of fights and some minor swearing as well as some sexual content, but nothing to bad or explicit.

Jo is a public relations rep hired to clean up Hunter's reputation and make sure he stays out of trouble. Obviously, he doesn't take this well at first, especially coming from his horrible father but a determined Jo is going to do her best to keep him in line. The sparks between these two ignite, almost immediately and when Jo ends up pregnant, a fake romance followed by marriage seems to be the answer to saving both their reputations but pretty soon they are falling in love and there is nothing fake about it.

Bad boy Hunter just becomes more lovable as this book goes on and Jo is so perfect for him. They have tons of chemistry which translates to some great scenes, romantic and otherwise. I loved this book and I was kind of sad to say goodbye to these characters.

I got this as an ARC and I absolutely loved it. When I first started reading I thought Hunter was going to be so completely different. I was already preparing myself not to like him but I couldnt have been more wrong. Hunter had no idea meeting Jo and having her in his life for PR reasons was going to change him but it did, for the better. Hunter was a bit of a wild boy but no one saw him like Jo did. One thing I didn't really understand was why even after sleeping together and getting pregnant and then the whole pre arranged marriage that these two still weren't sleeping together. They were married, lived together, even had declared their love for each but they still weren't sharing a bed. Either way though this had a perfect ending for these two, I only wish there was more.

I have always been a Nora Flite fan, and this book is a great example of why. It was very well written, solid story, and lots of different melodramas coming at you from every side. There's too many PR nightmares to count, all surrounding Hunter, the football star. Will he throw it all away? Will true love finally give him a reason to fight his overbearing father? Not to mention, I love Victoria's surprise at the end. Nora and Allison scored a touchdown with this one in my book.

A heart warming love story that really touched me on several levels. I love the relationship between Hunter and Jo. They have funny banter and protectiveness for each other that is so cute. I hate the way Hunters dad talks to him and belittles him every chance he gets. Very well written. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed Hunter and Jo's story. Hunter was a playboy football player. Jo was assigned to keep him out of trouble. Can she do it while keeping her need to be with him in check? Does Hunter understand and want to do what is right? I enjoyed their connection and enjoyed seeing how they both grew during the book.

Cimplice l'alcol a fiumi.. Lei resta incinta subito...

I enjoyed Thousand Yard Bride by Nora Flite. Sports romance novels are one of my favorite reads, especially during football season. I thought she did a great job with the story line of this one. The writing and dialogue was up and down, there were parts that I thought were well written and others were it seemed rushed or not enough depth to the dialogue. Overall, it was enjoyable and I would still recommend it to anyone who loves a good football/accidental pregnancy story.
Happy Reading... enjoy

Two stories of the same???

I am pretty sure I read another book with a different name and just a slightly different plot. The similarities were just beyond almost exact PR rep gets hired to keep bad boy football player out of trouble and ends up sleeping w/ him and pregnant. The only difference was the other story (sorry can't remember the name of the book) had a gulf tournament instead of a crochet tournament. Sad to see something like this happen:(.
